We weren’t sure when we first got there as this a lot different from other B and Bs that we have stayed out. No charming antiques and spacious room. No tv in our room either. WiFi worked well. Lots of folks coming and going. The hosts were special and treated us very well. Wonderful breakfasts and conversations with lots of tips about the area. No air conditioning but it wasn’t needed as we could open a window and use a fan. We had our own private bathroom. Great place to stay to start your vacation to Gros Morne NP. Very scenic area!

Needed more space.

Jean is an exceptional host, even when compared to all the friendly Newfoundlanders we’ve met so far on our trip. Energetic, friendly, going out of her way to make the B&B feel like home. Creative breakfasts incorporate vegetables from the garden, and they change every day! Milton, also very friendly, was busy planting flowers in the garden. Norris Point is a great location in Gros Morne and has its own trail on Burnt Mountain. Both Jean and Milton are very knowledgeable about all aspects of the area, such as trails and good restaurants.

I've stayed at B&Bs many times, and this was THE BEST EVER. Jean, the hostess, is extremely outgoing, and an excellent cook. We had four breakfasts, and none were duplicated. She made the best eggs Benedict I've ever had. She put out about a dozen jars of her homemade jams on a couple days. Most importantly, Jean is a very helpful, very congenial and very knowledgeable representative of Newfoundland. Our first morning she planned our itinerary for the next few days. She recommended great restaurants. And we thoroughly enjoyed conversing with Jean during breakfast and other times throughout the day. The rooms were a good size and the beds were comfortable, featuring flannel sheets and quilts Jean had made. Our rooms also had both interior and exterior doors. Plus small decks. I had gotten MapQuest directions to the B&B, and they weren't helpful. But at critical junctions we saw signs directing us to the B&B. Just shows the level of organization!

Leaving.

Jean and Milton go beyond the call of duty in making their guests feel comfortable and at home. The breakfasts are always delicious - we were there for 4 days and didn't have the same meal even once! They were also very open to us using the kitchen to prepare our brown-bag lunches and B&B suppers (access to a BBQ), and there is a large fridge for the guests. The location is SO PERFECT in terms of access to the different parts of the park you will want to visit and there is a beach a 10-second walk from the B&B. And the view! The view from Norris Point is likely one of the most awesome you will ever experience in your life! Thank you to Jean and Milton (who COULD be retired but have so much energy and positivity and made our stay so lovely, that we need them to keep working a little longer!)

Jean the host provided a wonderful, multi-course breakfast every day of our stay including a little earlier one for a special occasion. It was so warm and welcoming at her place, it felt like we were visiting family. :) Close to everything, super convenient and clean, we had everything we needed! She even had boot dryers for soggy campers :)

Nothing that I can think of! But if you were a very tall person better check which room you're in :D These old houses have lower door frames.

Since I was bringing my greyhound along on my latest Newfoundland adventure, pet-friendly Out East immediately went to the top of my list. On a previous visit to the province, I'd fallen in love with the Bonne Bay Area, so the property's location in Norris Point was perfect for me. I booked a one-bedroom cottage, which was exactly what I was looking for. Besides the very warm welcome, our cottage was very well-appointed (a full kitchen within a compact space), clean and extremely comfortable. The cottage was also appropriate for folks with mobility issues: there was a ramp up to the door/ open space and wide doorways within/ grab bars in the bathroom, etc.

I can't think of a single negative point.

Jean is the most wonderful hostess! Her friendly smile and welcoming "down east" hospitality is sure to melt the hearts of any traveller! I thorougly enjoyed my stay there and hope to return again! The former teacher's boarding house has a really cosy vintage feel with lovely homemade quilts on the beds and furnitre that can take you back to your childhood! Breakfast here, is a delicious feast fit for any king or queen (including gluten free eaters like me!) Anyone who should decide to make this lovely gem their destination will certainly enjoy their stay with Jean and Tom!! The views are spectacular and don't forget to watch the beautiful evening sunsets either!

For me, this was the perfect accommodation!

The main attraction for this place is the friendly welcome from, and conversations with Jean, our host. She is a character and a dynamo! Breakfasts were great - including some Newfoundland treats - toutons and homemade jam!. Very close to Rocky Harbour and Gros Morne.

This place suited us, but it is not luxurious, and you share a bathroom with another room. Having said that, everything is clean and comfy.

The food was excellent, filling and varied. Including daily fruit bowl, yogurt, coffee, tea, juice and a main entree, which included eggs benedict, a breakast wrap and french toast. The room was bright, clean and the matress was a real dream. With a private bath and private entrance, the room was a real delight. The owners are super friendly, knowledgable of the area and things to do.

I do not believe that there was anything that we didn't like or that didn't exceed our expectations.

We loved our stay. You could not ask for a better host than Jean. She made us feel at home from the minute that we walked in the front door until the minute we left. The food was delicious and plentiful, our room had everything we needed, the bed was very comfortable and the shower was one of the best that I've ever had at any B&B or hotel. I would definitely stay again.
