We spent 8 nights staying at the Spring Hotel. We enjoyed it's location up in the hills and jungle of the island. Although there is a shuttle bus 4/5 times a day we enjoyed the 25 minute walk into Port Elizabeth and beyond, even sometimes walking back to the hotel (uphill & be prepared to get hot and sweaty!). The staff were very attentive to our needs & special mention to Glen, the Manager, who went out of his way to help with any queries we had. Special mention to Shanique too who each evening made us delicious cocktails and was helpful and friendly. Our room was spotlessly clean and every morning we were asked if we needed housekeeping before we left the hotel.

Our only disappointment was the restaurant menu choice - somewhat limited. We stayed a week before "the season" started and there were very few guests. The first night we ate in the restaurant but as we were the only ones we chose to eat in our room using the hotel's app to order dinner. Unfortunately, probably because it was low season, there didn't seem to be any cafes/restaurants in Port Elizabeth opened past 6pm so we were left with little choice.

Lovely spacious rooms, food in the evening was good. Beautiful views.

Paid and booked for sea view which then wasn’t available. Was offered a king room without sea view. Asked for the price difference between rooms, offered 40 USD for 3 night but told to change rooms for last 2 for seavjew. The annoying thing was we had to stay in the hotel as we had to check out our room at 2pm and check in to new room so kindve took the whole day. Worth the move and sea view was stunning. Be aware the total price given at checkout dosent include the tax and vat charge so again for 5 night was an additional 200usd than what booking quoting in final price. Up a very steep hill so would be difficult to walk to and from hotel but there is transfer bus.

It’s on the top of a hill. Views are spectacular. This is the 5th time I’ve been there and will definitely be going again. Rooms are nice and comfortable. The hotel itself is a nice, intimate sized hotel, not overly full of people, so it feels like a home from home. The food is delicious.

Just a couple of things. The jacuzzi has not been available at any of my visits, as it is still broken. They need parasols at the pool, because it gets very hot on the Sun loungers. More importantly, the rooms have no information about what to do in a medical emergency/who to contact and how. If you are visiting from abroad and have a medical emergency at night (as I did) you have no way of getting help. Fortunately my husband had his vehicle and was able to get an ambulance to me, while my sister looked after me, and after a few hours in hospital, I was able to return to the hotel. I have highlighted this to the hotel management and they are addressing this as a matter of urgency.

We've stayed at Spring Hotel a few times now. We love the location, it's so quiet with amazing views ideal for leaving everything behind. The food is always good. The service is friendly and accommodating. They've introduced a new ordering service that allows you to order food anytime right from your room on your phone. You can pre order meals or have a lovely evening in your room with meals being delivered to you. This was a wonderful addition as we were there with a two year old and a 6 month old and their sleeping schedules are very different.

The AC unit was not the best at keeping the room cool, this could be an improvement.

The hotel itself is in a very beautiful secluded area where unfortunately unreliable shuttle is a must! The hotel has many games on the premises, the complementary breakfast is the decent continental version. The restaurant has a extremely large selection for a Caribbean and everything is truly delicious (we ate 4 dinners in total).

The location on the booking map is completely wrong and not corrected despite guests indicating it.. The reception never answers the phone. The shuttle does not arrive or leave on time so it caused us multiple issue and also it is impossible to reach via phone since no is indicated and reception did not answer. (I once was trying to reach someone in the hotel for 50 minutes! When complaining about it to the driver/manager Glen, I received extremely poor reaction which really damaged the whole experience of the stay.) The swimming pool has a strange odor/flavor which is not just chlorine.

This location is very secluded up in the hills. The very is breathtaking!!! Very nice for a private getaway. The chef is very good for lunch and dinner. The staff is very friendly. Very much appreciated the shuttle service to and from Port Elizabeth

My room was not cleaned for my second night stay. The mattress is not comfortable it is too firm. Also,, the breakfast portions were very small and limited options for what is included in rate especially for those who don’t eat eggs.

Hotel is beautifully situated on the island of Bequia, offering spectacular views, peace, quiet and solitude. Our room was spacious and clean, with a fridge and tea making facilities. The view from our balcony was amazing, to lay in bed and watch the sunrises was the highlight. Our package included a continental breakfast and the homemade bread, for me the best part. The hotel offers regular shuttle services to and from the hotel and port, so you can go explore Bequia, which we appreciated. We didn't book any expensive tours but caught the local z buses for a cheap and cheerful island tour. Any hotel stay is only as good as its staff and everyone of them we encountered was polite, courteous and friendly.

No outdoor furniture on our balcony.

The location was beautiful but far from the main part of town. The room was of nice size and the balcony was nice too, other than the mosquitos. It was nice to have the fridge and the same.

The food was just ok, not that great. We needed an early breakfast to make our 9am dives and the dining room was generally not ready by 8am but the staff did their best to get us setup and food before we had to catch the Taxi to town. The room had no accommodations for hanging or storing clothes.

We liked that there was a resaurant, bar and swimiming pool on site. The staff are amazing, they all went above and beyond their duties to ensure our stay was as comfortable as possible. The shuttle bus is regular and there are always local taxis on hand if you wish to stay out late.

Although the location is very tranquil it is to far to walk to the main town of Port Elizabeth where most things take place but, the shuttle bus service provided by the hotel is always on hand to take you to the town and other locations.

The room was spacious and thoughtfully furnished with mosquito nets on the beds. Lovely view from the hotel to the bay. There were lots of nice artistic finishing touches at the hotel premises with comfortable seating and nice limited sunbeds by the pool. A small but nice little pool. As the location was a little temote and up a mountain the free shuttle was perfect. The staff were very friendly. Restaurant food was generally very nice but a little inconsistent.

Nothing that was any great bother but if I have to name something to help improvement I would say the mattresses on our beds were not very comfortable. The basic continental breakfast was ok for a couple of days but if you are not into american or cooked breakfast by day 3 I really needed some choice. They did have a gamesroom but pool table was not level and cues were not maintained. They didn’t appear to do much to try and keep people at the hotel.. bar was not really used apart from peak times, closed by 9ish so you really needed to go down into town for the evening.
