Great position overlooking Sandy Cove. Good base for exploring the area. The balcony doubles on the 2nd floor give fantastic views. It's worth booking one. The Cove restaurant provides a wonderful background setting, with some amazing food being produced. Mouth watering at the highest level. Thank you, guys. A quality indoor swimming pool (towels provided from reception) with great changing facilities. All in all, it was a delightful stay, which I extended because of all of the above. Great value for money, and the staff are all so polite. Make sure you stay here, you won't be disappointed.

This place is a hidden Gem , the staff the owners the location the views the locals omg genuinely book this place , iam not one for compliments but Ashley shell Sam Gerrit , they cannot do enough for you the room quality , the food standards are amazing thanks to wonderful chef and his team , house keeping with there wonderful attention to detail . We loved the place so much stayed an extra night and have even booked our wedding , thanks Sandy cove team staff for such a wonderful time away … book this place genuinely

Genuinely there isn’t anything not to like about it , if there is something you do not like speak with reception they will resolve it

Incredible views, well decorated rooms, phenomenal receptionist, super helpful and friendly staff throughout the hotel, amazing food and great cocktails, also lovely to see the brides and grooms taking photos on the sea balcony. We loved it so much we booked a 2nd night whilst there! There's also lovely scenic walks either left or right out of the property, with a choice of a beautiful quiet seaside town (with the best ice-cream I may have ever eaten) that has shops, cafes, restaurants and also a lovely walk along to some caves if you wanted to explore a little. Then there's a harbour with a lovely boat café, and also a beach within walking distance, we just couldn't get there due to a landslide, but from another viewpoint it looked lovely.

Can be noisy on the evenings due to the wedding guests leaving dogs in the hotel rooms alone, which caused them some distress and made them bark/cry, along with general drunken arrivals back to their rooms. It didn't detract from our stay though, just something to note as it is a busy venue full of people having a great time for their special day. Parking can be quite tight to get into, especially if you're in a camper van like we were, but there's lots of it!

Lovely that on arrival we were informed we had a room upgrade to a sea view... Wow it was an amazing view! The views from the room, terrace, restaurants etc were all incredible. Even better than advertised. Beautiful picturesque area that allowed for a great photoshoot! Flowers in bloom, lovely sun and backdrop. Can't ask for anything more. Cocktails were very tasty. Staff at reception were great and welcoming. Atmosphere throughout was great. Very lively, music playing, people of all ages having a good time.

Poached eggs for breakfast. Honestly it must have been the worst poached eggs we have tried. So overdone the yolk was hard and the white rubbery. I'll definitely order the full English next time 😁. One restaurant worker was very cold and killed the atmosphere a fair bit. But everyone has their bad days. The food for dinner was okay. It's classified as fine dining but only the portion sizes represent fine dining. The food was not bad but not great either.

The location is stunning. We were lucky enough to get a room upgrade to a sea view room and it was incredible. Looked out onto the lovely headland around the bay. The food was delicious. Breakfast was really good with a wide range of choice. Staff were friendly. Bed was comfy!

Everything was great but we did feel that the interior of the hotel could have done with a touch up of paint. It didn’t hinder our stay here though and we will definitely be returning.

Amazing staff, beautiful location, very tasty breakfast but not much of continental breakfast choices, .. great shower, but make sure to have your own toiletries

I wish there was a small fridge in the room..also water in the room was only on the first day, so make sure you have some for the rest of your stay..comfy bed but not king or queen..we like to cuddle and we found this two single beds joined together uncomfortable

The setting on the North Devon coast is stunning! Sandy Cove Hotel is in the perfect location to experience this part of the country. Even though some work for terrace updates was going on during our stay, it never distracted us from the gardens and views. The room was modern and comfortable with everything we needed, including an excellent restaurant. Already planning a return.

We stayed in a room with Seaview. The view was amazing.

The staff was friendly but some of them did not know much about the hotel. I asked one of the waitress where the pool was or how I could get down to the beach area. She couldn't help me. It was weird. It's not a big hotel how you don't know where the pool was:). Nevertheless, we found it. Also, the hotel is secluded. We went there for a wedding and did not have a car. There is not much you can do without a car.

The room was a great size for us. Lots of space to spread out. The view from the window was exactly what i was hopping for. Very good view that we both enjoyed.

I would have liked the WiFi to work better in our room. I would also have appreciated some where to hang the towls, maybe hooks on the back of the door?? A small fridge would be good to.
