Regarding Riad Dar El Caid we really liked everything. It was the best place that we stayed in Tunisia. The accommodation is inside the Medina and we couldn’t believe when we saw a pool inside. The pool was amazing. We spent some time there. And the staff was really kind. They gave us some Tamaras to eat while we’re at the pool. The breakfast was really nice. We loved. The living room is cute, and the bathroom is really good.

As the accommodation is inside the Medina, it wasn't easy to find it. We got a little bit lost. Maybe they could put a sign with the right way outside the Medina.

There is no parking next to property but as it is in the medina, it is understandable. The breakfast was very basic: bread and yogurt. The stay would have been excellent if a better breakfast was provided.

le riad is the best accommodation we found in tunisie so far: clean, central location and beautifully decorated. moreover, the owner and his beloved dog tiffany made our stay even more enjoyable . if you re in tozeur, you must stay in this place

It’s a very beautiful old building. Almost like a palace. Very friendly owner and staff, very good location, room and bed were great too. Would certainly go here again when in Tozeur.

This place is fantastic, they are very welcoming and the palace itself is a gem in the middle of the medina. If i could give more than 10 out of 10 i would!

The room we received after the change. It was 2-level room with a nice separate sleeping zone on the second floor with great interior and a silent air conditioner. This rooms was much better than initial. Thanks to this change and attentiveness of the staff the overall score of this place went up for me. Lounge zones for the visitors are just superior. Relax zone next to the small pool and spacious lobby with authentic interiors.

The room which stayed the first night. (see photos attached) I can not give it more than 6/10, because there was no lock on the door of our tiny room, so basically it is always open, second minus is air conditioner - it was super noisy. I used earplugs to sleep with it working. The hotel located in the historical center, still it would be great if area around would be tidier. It was not so easy to find the entrance. You are looking for big sand-colored iron door. (see photos attached)

Loved the decor and artwork. Beautifully laid out. Had a high end feel to it. Very special.

Sadly let down by poor and very basic breakfast. And difficult to find within a warren of alleyways in the medina. Host needs to do more in terms of welcoming guests and helping with car parking etc.
