At first communication with the hotel seemed a bit strained but in person the staff is really friendly, helpful and nice. Ample free and safe parking just outside in front of the hotel which is a very nice building, nicely decorated and white marble on the inside. The rooms are large and relatively luxurious including a small sitting area. A small fridge, which also functions as a minibar, is at your disposal and the shower is really good. The beds are large and medium in hardness or softness. Everything is also very clean. Several restaurants are close of which Alter Hase is to be recommended, although quite expensive, and a good alternative is Rairo Mediterranean in the old centre close to the church on the other side of the small bridge. They serve great food for fair prices. Close to that is also a cheap gas station and several supermarkets are just about 500 to 600 meters up the road. Everything is basically within walking distance. Herzlake is a small town and very quiet, although the main road, at which the hotel is located, does have some trucks on it during the day supplying several companies at the northern edge of town and the shops and supermarkets. This is a very nice and very affordable location, much better than I originally anticipated.

Lovely place to stay, very clean and tidy large car park, lovely building. Very clean, tidy and spacious reception area. Has a lovely Spanish feel about the property. The double room was clean, large and spacious. The bathroom was on the small side but very clean and adequate for our needs. We were only staying 1 night as we were en-route to Denmark. We had a lovely night's sleep and would not hesitate to stay again if we visited this area. The manager gave us directions for somewhere to eat. We found a fantastic restaurant (can't remember the name of it) close by with amazing food with equally amazing service. We would not hesitate to stay here again and will definitely put it on our itinerary of places to visit. The breakfast was lovely, we didn't indulge too much as we had overeaten at the restaurant the night before. Sorry, can't elaborate as I can't really remember what we had but it was definitely lovely.

Friendly staff, good breakfast, mini-bar with decent prices in the room, ample parking and central location, near the autobahn and nice riverwalk in the village, perfect stop-over.

We enjoyed our stay here. Breakfast is included and it is good. They are friendly and lot of parking place available. Value for Money. Shops are on walking distance. Recommend this place for people who loves Quite and Country side.

Great overnight stop in pleasant little town. Clean, comfortable with very varied breakfast. 5 mins walk away from lovely restaurant on the river.
