Writing DIRECT to the Hotel’s email address - not just using the Booking.com system - gave quick replies to our queries about: 1. How to check in late - from our late arriving car ferry at Hook of Holland; & 2. Where to park our car for free upon our arrival at the Hotel (in the centre of the city). Very spacious & comfortable room - & bathroom. Great ‘Keyboy’ system, outside the Hotel, to enable us to check in late, after the staff had left for the night. A WONDERFUL breakfast. Eat as much as you can - from a large range of choices of food & drink.

No details about HOW to get WiFi/WLAN when making such a late check in. Problem solved, however, next morning before breakfast!

Excellent location, convenient for exploring the city. A cozy restaurant and good time for breakfast. The room was tidy and clean. The cost was lower, for a solo traveler.

The facilities are quite outdated: furniture, towels, and the bathroom looked worn out and cracked in places. In larger cities with more competition, you could find a more modern option for a similar price, but in Meppen, the choices are more limited )

Location was great and breakfast good.

Pillows could have been firmer. The other issue was parking as the car needed moving at 9.30am until 5.00pm. For non German speakers or not IT savvy the parking machine was difficult to understand as it did not take coins. That was if you wanted to park for longer.

Great little hotel, staff excellent, room was grand, clean. Bicycle cellar added bonus fer the cyclists. Breakfast great and proper tea, mmm, refreshing. I liked my stay here.

Not the hotels fault but the parking outside would not accept my card so had to get up super early to move it.

Payment on arrival was difficult as several different cards all resulted in "system failure". Eventually paid by BACS. Wifi soon stopped working. Noisy bin men at 05:30. But all else was great.

The room was clean and comfortable. Hotel had an elevator. The breakfast was very complete. The location is great , close to pubs and also to a huge supermarket.

Location is perfect. Would have liked scrambled eggs for breakfast and some seeds with the muesli.

The property is super pretty, it has a cute architecture and everything is super clean and organized. The breakfast was amazing and the staff were really kind to me, a person who unfortunately doesn’t speak german. My stay couldn’t have been better, I loved it.
