The superb hospitality of the staff, in particularly Calogero, made our stay exceptional. We were contacted by them ahead of our arrival to inform us that there had been a problem at the property and they could offer a refund or lodging in another property nearby until they could fix the problem. We took the second alternative and stayed for the first night in their smaller bed and breakfast. The problem was fixed overnight and they even took our bags from one place to the other. The original hotel is very beatiful with an unsurpassable view of the hills and Agrigento. Large, comfortable room with lots of towels. Nice breakfast. Everything was very clean.
Going uphill to Giardina is NOT for the faint hearted. There are two roads> a long, steep and winding one (where two cars cannot pass simultaneously) and the regular Strada Provinciale. We did not know this beforehand and took the difficult road. Once at the property we were adviced on how to get there through the easy road and that made a difference. I would suggest the property send these directions along their welcome message so travellers can have a smoother arrival.

We made the decision to stay at Antico Borgo dei Templi on the spur of the moment having found ourselves in Agrigento in the late afternoon having not completed our sightseeing and reluctant to drive the 170 odd Kms back to Trapani where we were staying. Our journey to the property was a bit intimidating as we drove higher and higher into the hills, but nothing could have prepared us for the surprise when we actually reached Antico Borgo dei Templi which is a genuine oasis nestled in the hills above Agrigento with views across to the bay and probably some of the most spectacular panorama to be seen in Sicily. We were warmly met on arrival and treated with great courtesy by the family that own the property and could not have been more content with our room and the wonderful facilities offered. I cannot recommend too highly Antico Borgo dei Templi and the wonderful family who own and run it, it was a genuine pleasure to stay there.
There was nothing to dislike about this property and the experience which will go down as one of our most successful impulse stays ever taken.

Perfect 10/10. Had a very relaxed stay. Very rural and quiet. I’d recommend to stay for at least 2 nights. Go for the beach or some city (e.g. Agrigento) during the day (everything interesting is aprox. 20 min around the corner)and come back in the evening to enjoy the view and eat authentic (extremely good) food in their restaurant around the corner. Calogero was a great host with -impeccable- hospitality. Very friendly and open. Everything in the room was in perfect working condition and the bed was great. Go and relax. Forget expectation or comparisons, just relax and enjoy :)
Nothing to dislike. Go there and relax :)

The location is difficult to navigate to, but the staff were wonderful and sent us directions including a video. While the location is not really convenient, it also ends up being charming and an adventure in getting to and from the Valley of the Temples. The owners also have a trattoria within walking distance that is delicious and fun. It felt like the whole village was there the night we ate dinner. The breakfast in the morning was also delicious. With a view of the whole area from the terrace, it is a great way to start the day. The whole experience was excellent.

Fabulous views from the breakfast terrace and close to the Valley of the Temples. Large rooms in modern industrial design with excellent bathrooms The local trattoria did good traditional food and takeaway pizzas. The manager/owner was very helpful and enterprising.
It was difficult to find on the satnav. For no discernible reason if you’re travelling from the west, google maps takes you up a dirt track the wrong side of the mountain. There’s a much easier route coming straight from Agrigento if you can find it!

Parking in the street in front of our door. Friendly staff. Nice terrasse and excellent breakfast. Exceptional view. Modern equipment in the room. Good beds and mattress
Used coffee capsules in the machine (full) from previous guests. There was no trash bin in the room except the small one from the bathroom. Hairs in the shower, on one pillow and in one bed. Unstable and slow wifi. Small tips: The location seemed close to Agrigento when I booked. In fact, it is totally uphill and outside (20-minute drive). It wasn't a big issue as we had our car in the end for this view. Wow! (Without a car, forget about it)

The property is a little bit out of the way, in the middle of a beautiful landscape. You will learn about life in a small village in Sicily. The rooms are extremely big and comfortable. The host was EXTREMELY helpful. We had an accident right before arriving and he helped us a lot improvising to fix the car and taking my grown-up daughters to the Scala dei Turchi while we were taking care of the car. THANK YOU! We had dinner at the family owned restaurant, which was crowded, where you get a LOT of food ;-) and which you reach by foot!

Antico Borgo dei Templi is a truly enchanting place near Agrigento, nestled in a charming mountain village. We stayed in the King room with a spa bath, offering breathtaking views and pure relaxation in the hot tub. The breakfast was delightful and delicious, and the general interior is both beautiful and unique. Sending our best wishes from Estonia (@fallinlovewithearth)

We really loved our stay at Antico Borgo. Starting from the location, the B&B is located in a small mountain town with really nice views over the coast, idillic location to rest a bit from the noises of the city. The building is nicely renovated and the rooms very well equipped and decorated! Furthermore, we had one of the best breakfasts of the whole trip in their lovely panoramic terrace. Finally, I can highly recommend the trattoria owned by the hotel owners, the food was delicious and the environment was excellent!
Maybe the only con is that it is quite hard to reach if you don't have a car

We had a private terrace and the view was exceptional! Challenging drive up but worth it! Comfortable bed very clean and modern? Lovely breakfast included.
There was an extension cord that wasn’t attached to a power point which was unusable. This limited our options for charging technology. We would recommend some wine glasses and a knife to cut cheese or fruit.
