Good location , friendly front desk staff, helpful and friendly housekeeping staff. Breakfast was good value and a wide range of dishes. Internet access was much better than expected. The staff in executive lounge were great !

The breakfast team , particularly the desk at the entrance were not very friendly or welcoming. No smile or greeting just a “tap your card” . One staff member snatches your card out of your hand to tap it. Really weird, does not trust the guest to tap their card ? More interested in making sure you have paid than welcoming hotel guests. Not a good start to the day.

Locality

The number of days they took to change linen and considering that I arrived day after midnight to be specific I don’t arrive on the 18 th but it was after midnight 19 so I missed out on one day and when I asked for late check out they only gave me up to 3 pm I wanted 6 pm due to my flight being 00:15 . I thought they were going to be considerate

The smile..!!! ..Everybody is smiling from the bellboy at the front door passing by the reception desk to the housekeeper & her spontaneous " Good Morning " every morning during my 15 days stay ... I felt myself as if in my home... Nothing is impossible in this hotel,just ask..! My special thanks to the reception desk manager ... I booked 15 days last year (2024) & I didn't regret to book 15 days again with the China Hotel this year 2025 Everything is almost perfect...!!! Thanks to all the staff thanks to China Hotel

Noting to report...

We had a very nice week long stay at the China Hotel. They gave us a very nice upgrade from our suite to a 1 bedroom suite which was very generous and appreciated for a long stay. The room was excellent. 1.5 bathrooms, well appointed, very comfortable bed & linens. When turned down for the night, it got super dark which we appreciate. Location is very nice, right next to two great parks, & with direct access to a main subway line. We liked the spa facilities with a very nice Sauna, Steam Room, & Hot Tub that even had a reception desk for towels & lockers. Breakfast had a huge variety of foods and was very good quality. Being in an executive room gave us access to the lounge as well. They do an evening drinks & snacks there from 5:30-7:30 (the lounge is not open outside of those hours). The drinks & food are very solid there (one night, it was even our main dinner!). The hotel wifi was good and must be beyond the GFW as we got google, youtube, FB even without a VPN.

The hotel is clean, but it is very well worn in and hasn't been updated in quite some time. Our non smoking room had an ashtray in it, and did slightly smell of smoke upon arrival, but wasn't too bad. The elevators are very slow to arrive (I think they have may have been working on a few of them though).

I recently spent a week at China Hotel in Guangzhou, and I can confidently say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming, professional, and attentive, making us feel right at home. To our surprise and delight, we received a free room upgrade to a luxurious suite spacious, beautifully furnished, and extremely comfortable. The breakfast was another highlight absolutely amazing with a huge variety of local and international options, freshly prepared and full of flavor. Every morning felt like a new culinary adventure. The hotel itself is elegant, clean, and perfectly located, offering everything one could need for a comfortable and memorable stay. I highly recommend China Hotel Guangzhou to anyone visiting the city it’s truly a top-tier hotel with outstanding service. I will definitely return!

Great location and facilities, large rooms to use, close to look very parks, malls and right next to a metro station. It has a pool to relax on a hot day with a life guard taking his job seriously, good food from multiple restaurants, excellent services, helpful staff. One of them at the front desk was very thoughtful and offered us a different room with better aircon because of the high temperature during our stay.

It's not the hotel's fault but we had to change our room because of the teenagers staying on the same floor running up and down the hallway and slamming multiple doors the whole night, it was impossible to sleep. But the hotel staff was very quick to help us the next morning, and we eventually had a quiet room to sleep for the rest of our stay.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel, everything from the room to the location was spot-on. The rooms were spacious, clean, and beautifully designed, with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable family trip. The location is superb: close to tomb of Sa'ad Ibn Abi Waqqas & yuexiu park, halal-friendly eateries, and easy access to the METRO station.

However, one major downside: no airport transfer service is provided by the hotel. This unfortunately led to a frustrating experience upon arrival. We were traveling as a family of four with 8 big luggages, and had to take two separate taxis from the airport. The drivers charged us an outrageous 500 yuan per car, totaling 1,000 yuan, clearly a scam targeting tourists unfamiliar with local rates.

Very good Location. 10 mins walk to Guangzhou station. 10 mins walk to the Masjid/Mosque. 2 mins to Mc Donalds, Starbucks, 7 Eleven, small groceries

The staff were very friendly and helpful from the front desk reception to the young smart men helping us get taxi drivers to understand where we needed to go, to the very nice elevator personal, and the cleaning staff were very helpful! It's a very well run hotel with good hospitality. The pool, sauna and steam room was very nice, and the excercize room although small was well maintained.

I know lots of people smoke, and it was throughout the hallways, but our room didn't have a smokey smell. Also the showers in the women's changing room for the swimming pool did have a smelly odour, but otherwise the changing room, towels, etc were clean.

The hotel is in a very good location. the metro is right next to the hotel and this is important for Guangzhou. The hotel is very clean, very well maintained, despite the fact that when we were there it was its 40th anniversary, it looks great and the staff is very good. The nudist administrator was greeted by a lovely girl named Gina Wu, Of course, thank her very much. Unfortunately, a small number of the staff speak English well, but this is generally a small problem, and this girl, she helped very, very much. Thank her.

We liked everything. It is clear that the hotel management takes a very responsible approach to their work.
