We always love and enjoy our stay at the Barricas. The grounds are beautiful, the staff is always friendly and helpful and who wouldn’t love sleeping in a tequila barrel! There are two restaurant on sight. One is a restaurant/bar for dinner dinning and the other for breakfast in the morning. I highly recommend taking a tour at the La Cafradia distillery. It’s fun and informative about all that goes into the making of tequila! Don’t forget to stop by the store on your way out to purchase a couple bottles of tequila to take home with you. It’s always a must! The new pool area is absolutely gorgeous. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to enjoy it due to the fact, we didn’t find out about it opening until late in the evening the day before we left. We were bummed about that, but oh well! Next time!

I loved how peaceful it was and our bedroom was so beautiful and comfortable. All staff were so friendly and polite. It is a very beautiful place to be and not too far from tequila. We slept in one of the barrels, and their food was so delicious. The reservation we got it included a tour around the place, and we got to know about the process of their tequilas. Their breakfast was also delicious, and we got a little souvenir at our checkout. We highly recommend this property. There's also someone playing music by request, and he has a beautiful voice. Thank you!

This is a wonderful place to relax when in the Tequila area! The staff was very nice and helpful. The grounds are so beautiful and peaceful! The pool area is nice now, but will be even better when they complete it.

The pool is a bit deep for anyone under six feet tall. I’m just over six feet and it was wonderful for me, but my wife who is 5’7” couldn’t touch the bottom while standing without her nose being covered. I’m not sure if the plans call for a ledge to be built along the wall inside of the pool, but I would recommend it.

What can I say, this place lives up to the photos & more! The room is spacious, clean, comes with literally every toiletry you could possibly need & is super unique in style! You are greeted with a shot of Tequila when you arrive & escorted to your room by a concierge (who also assists with your baggage). Included in the stay is a tour of the Tequila factory, breakfast & unlimited tequila! It’s also pet friendly, so our 2 sausage dogs were made to feel so welcome by all staff and guests. Honestly one of the best hotel stays I have experienced & albeit a bit pricey compared to other options local, it’s a no brainer for when we return. Who doesn’t want to stay in a barrel of tequila when staying in tequila?!!

The ambiance was exceptional. The barrel concept was unlike anything we have experienced before. The amenities provided in the barrel room were very good including bath robes, stocked mini bar and toiletries. The property was quiet and restful. The dining facilities were above average with excellent food and very accommodating staff.

The signage on the property was difficult to interpret in order to find the dining and breakfast facilities.

Nearly everywhere you looked was a picture moment. I enjoyed the rustic, aged look of the property that resembled a preserved town square in parts. Very unique and well-executed architecture, from the barrels to the volcanic stone. Highly recommend for people who want a well-curated Tequila stay.

The parking lot is unpaved, filled with holes and rocky. I would definitely advise the property to repair the parking lot if at all possible to protect guests' tires. The shaded solar panel roofing on the parking lot though made up for the patchy road.

During the tour, Priscilla provided us with alot of information. Furthermore, the kindness of everyone made us feel incredibly comfortable. The front desk staff were also amazing. I'm hoping you guys bring back the shuttles.

The only thing we didn't like was the service for breakfast. Very slow paste and kept forgetting about us, when it wasn't busy.

Once in a lifetime experience. We stayed in the main apartment and not in one of the Barricas. The surrounding, view, barricas, the Tequila tour (which was included) , the free tequila all all day :)), the big cozy apartment , super friendly staff, comfy bed, great breakfast in Catrina restaurant!! Everything was perfect. And of course the ducks :)) I highly recommend !!

My recommendation would be to have hostess or train your current staff a little bit more, when cames to the breakfast is being served. I was a little bit disappointed. We did not get acknowledged by any of the employees. My husband had to approach someone at the bar to guide us. My husband asked for orange juice and he never received it. We did not get our utensils. We ask for jam for our bread and it was never provided to us. I believe associates could be trained better

The hotel and the staff were great. The location is beautiful. The tour was fun and our guide was excellent! You are paying for an experience and not just a room.

The distance to the center of town (where all the fun & attractions are) is far. You need a taxi and unfortunately the taxi drivers will overcharge you bc you're a tourist. Walking is an option. However, not a recommended due to distance and safety.
