very well maintained old property...very quiet...perfect for ppl who just wish to unwind and stay calm...food is too gd..Mutton khichra and Mutton Kadhai are too yummu..Staff is very gd... Tejaswani @ reception and Raju bhai in restaurant are very very helpfull and willing to serve.Overall a must visit for those who enjoy quiet and laid back stay.

Space is a constarint so gym cant be added. But yes one thing they can do is make name plate of resort in neon light. It will look good in night.

This was my first time staying at Hotel Mala's at the recommendation of my uncle. We were a family of four that stayed in the Duplex house. The rooms were spacious. The service was excellent. We would call up reception and less than a minute later, we would have their personnel come by and assist us with any issues or requests. The bohri food served in the dinning hall was absolutely mind-blowing. We enjoyed all the dishes served and everyone we met were courteous. Overall, an excellent place to stay with friends and family. Highly recommend.

The only thing lacking was a heater since it gets very cold during the evenings and night. But, they provided blankets that were thick and warm so that helped a lot.

Hotel Malas is nicely positioned amongst trees away from the bustle of mainstreet Panchgani, but close enough for an easy stroll to town. The onsite café is excellent and serves really good food from its nice position next to the garden. But the best thing about Hotel Malas is the staff, from reception, to Café, to cleaning. The general manager is a charming man who conversed with us every morning and made sure everything was being done to make our stay enjoyable. He was both informative and witty and we enjoyed many laughs with him over morning chai. The one downside to our room was that it was very old and in need of maintenance. The bathroom door was literally rotting on its hinges, and being in the bathroom was an unpleasant experience. We understand and appreciate that during the monsoon everything at hill stations is either constantly wet or damp, but our rooms lack of maintenance made the dampness all the more noticeable and off putting. However, there are much better rooms that ours that we saw, premium rooms, that are right up to the mark. The GM told us the buildings date from just after partition, making them 70 plus years old, but renovations are starting soon on the remaining budget rooms. When these renovations are complete, Hotel Malas will be in a league of its own, given its beautiful setting amidst spacious well kept gardens, and the excellent standard of service from its wonderful staff at all levels. The potential is limitless.

We are 3 seniors who visited in August 2023. We shared a room. We felt pampered by the personal attention we got from all staff working at the hotel - front desk Abhishek communicated with me right from the start. I appreciate when I receive confirmation of a booking. Restaurant staff serving us happily & housekeeping getting our room cleaned before their usual time. Mr. Huzefa Hakim GM of Mala’s & his wife are very pleasant & warm. I mentioned that Bohri’s make delicious biriyani and Mr. Huzefa was kind enough to get it prepared for us. Delicious! And thank you Huzefaji. Complimentary Breakfast variety was excellent. Besides the usual omlette, parathas, we had kheema one day, paya on another day, sabudana vadas. Oh the payas were divine.

We opted for the Premium room which sadly didn’t have an additional bed like their other triple occupancy room. This room had a sofa bed which when opened was a mattress on the floor. Very inconvenient for a senior with knee problems. A roll in roll out bed would have been better. While another 3 mattresses were added to increase the height it was not the best arrangement.

Me and my family needed the tea and some light snacks before leaving as we had long journey. So we opted for tea coffee and toast. The ambience, vibes was excellent and relaxing. We really enjoyed our breakfast and services. Thankyou so much.

Drinking water facility. We were tired after our day out and needed clean warm drinking water. The reception number rang but no one picked up the phone and after visiting the reception the water that we got was chilled cold drinking water. We even requested the person who delivered the water for warm drinking water but he said this is what is available now. As we were tired didnt wanted to visit the reception again and compromised with what is available.

It was good Lot of options to choose from and they also prepared fresh items like pancake and omlette and served us on the table hot.

Room service, food, rooms itself were nice and cosy a big screen smart tv with good internet connection.everything.

Beautiful property near to market. Lot of greenery, good playing area for kids. Staffs were polite and respectful. Food is excellent.

Rooms were little musty. There was smell in the bed as well. Cafe charges double price for packed items like chips, cookies etc.

For us, staff were the highlight of Hotel Malas, especially the kitchen staff led by the head chef. Very attentive, courteous and warm throughout our stay. We had breakfast and dinner included in our tariff, generous portions, tasty and much more than we could eat! Lots of suggestions on what to do, gave us the contact number of a great taxi driver who took us around for the rest of the trip. Malas Hotel team made our whole experience better. Place is located a short walk away (10 minutes) from the centre and is quiet as a result. Rooms are old-style and spacious. We will definitely stay here when in Panchgani again. Will highly recommend.

Great property and great service. Staff is really friendly and on their tose for anything you order or ask for. Property is old and traditional so those looking for modern amenities and room styles may find that odd however place is neat and clean. And has the feel and warmth of good place. However they now are setting up new style rooms and i would recommend to try those if you plan to stay at the property. Special mention of Chef Santosh Kumar Sahu who organized and help there Gazebo decorated for bday celebration of our family member and making it am experience to remember. Praful who was attending us that day was excellent too. Food is awesome and everything we ordered was really tasty and fresh. Best stay experience in Mahabaleshwar/Panchgani after being to many places and various vacation here.

Property can improve bathroom fittings and redo their tilings and all for a better stay experience. Likely with renovations underway this will get addressed.
