My sister and I had originally booked a basic room to stay for 1 night as a quick resting spot after hiking the Av1 Dolomites, before heading to Venice. An injury forced me to leave the trail 2 days earlier than planned. Not wanting to change hotels, I booked two extra nights, however the only available room was the top upgrade. The room was very big (for Europe standards), modern and had a luxury walk in shower with jets. A very cozy place to recover and wait for my sister. I went down to check out from this room to then check in to the basic room and the gracious owner told me it would not be necessary to move and that we could stay on the upgraded room without extra charge. But more importantly, the staff knew I was injured and alone. They checked in with me, they offered to arrange taxis, they showed me on the map the closest cafés and restaurants. Outstanding service and attention. We had booked at another location and when we went there it was terrible. We searched for alternate accommodation and found Albergo Cappello and Cadore . They were super helpful and went well beyond what would be expected to accommodate us - would highly recommend staying with them

Rooms, cleanliness, bed comfort, excellent breakfast, carparking, setting in beautiful Belluno, super helpful reception. Lots of lovely bars, restaurants and shopping within walking distance.

I have stayed here before and it is always one of my favourite hotels. The location is great just behind the main piazza and easy to get to from the train station, within walking distance. Loved the smell from the bakery coming from below. The rooms are clean, spacious and had been rennovated since I was here last. There was a generous breakfast selection. Staff were very friendly and took the time to get to know you. Need to add Belluno to your Italian bucket list.

The staff were able to accommodate us an extra night at last minute. We accidently booked our checkout date for the wrong date. Very friendly gentleman was there in the late evening/early morning. Gluten free options for breakfast (bread and muffins) were a great touch, thank you! Plenty of storage for us to unpack and make ourselves at home. Great central location.

The shower was a little smelly on arrival, I think due to no extraction fan. However we left the doors open after our showers to let it dry out and the smell did not linger.

Excellent historical (from 18 century) 3* hotel, downtown Belluno. Our room was meeting 4* criteria - marked on the door, too. It seems, the hotel is undergoing upgrading. Excellent staff, super comfortable room - ultra-modern bathroom, excellent beds, mattresses and pillows, etc. Crystal clean. Very good breakfast for Italian standards. P.S. Next to the hotel - excellent pizzeria (you get 10% discount ticket from the hotel).

Small room, but has everything you need. The bed is comfortable and a decent size, there is a TV and air conditioning. The bathroom has everything, even a bidet. The location is amazing - in the city center where everything is nearby. Big thanks to the ladies who cook breakfast every morning - it was amazing, lots of food to choose from. We parked at Lambioi parking, which is easily accessible and cheap.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The owner insisted I have some wine and grappa at the hotel bar for my birthday and everyone kept calling me "big boss" because I was paying the bill. I felt like a big shot. You will be right in the heart of the city, close to the park, shops and pharmacy. There is a very nice restaurant next door with great food and wine. The town has a grocery store called "A and O" which is less than 3 minutes away, across the main square. Hotel staff were able to arrange a taxi tour of the countryside for an hour on a Sunday, no less, for a family of 7 for less than 100 euro. Bonus, we got to see a mountain bike race start and finish on main street while enjoying drinks, entertainment and snacks at the corner coffee shop. I love the atmosphere of this town.

The hotel is a 10 minute walk from the train station and is difficult to locate but with Google maps "live view", anything is possible.

I had a mix up with my original booking that left me alone at the train station at 10pm in the rain with no taxis to be found. I was finally able to find some internet and found this hotel. They had one room left. So I dragged my luggage in the rain on city streets and found it tucked into a narrow street behind their pizza place. The gentleman that checked me in asked how I really was and said if I needed Another night he could get me a better rate. He then asked if I had eaten and I said no so he told me to get my things settled and he would take care of me. I came back down and he had called next door and told them to kero the kitchen open so I could get a good meal and a glass of wine. So kind. The room was very nice with a huge shower. Had a comfy king bed and a single. The location was close to the city center, easy walk and an easy walk in the daylight to the train station. The breakfast was fresh and tasty. Plenty to choose from for the basic Italian breakfast but also boiled eggs. I would definitely stay again.

Very warm welcome on arrival, it’s nice when a hotel is expecting you. I had reserved a parking space at the front of the property which was there on arrival. Breakfast was very good with a wide choice of continental options, the fresh and warm croissant was great. The whole of the hotel was clean and tidy, they clearly take pride in the building.

Bathroom is very compact, I would rather do without the bidet and have more space.

Perfect location to end our AV1 hike. The hotel is very gracious to allow us to stow our luggage during our hike - we drop our luggage here before we proceed to Cortina/Lago di Braies. Our basic room is large enough to accommodate us and has newly renovated amenities. It is hard to believe this hotel is already very old with the new and modern amenities.
