I spent one night at Hotel Costabella with my husband during our stay at Lago di Garda and we were absolutely enchanted by the incredible lake view. We had lunch at the hotel´s restaurant overlooking the water, the food was delicious and authentic. The room was very comfortable and had a balcony with a table and chairs, where we enjoyed a glass of wine while watching the beautiful sunset over the lake and mountains. Breakfast was amazing — generous, with fresh and local products. The staff was warm, welcoming, and very friendly. We had a wonderful experience and would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends.

One complaint I have is our room did not have a refrigerator unlike the other rooms my family we’re staying in. The other would be that the breakfast items which should have been warm were always cold like the scrambled eggs and bacon. They were precooked in advance. Only one day were they served warm. I have noticed other guests have left the same review. If they were to change that, it would definitely make for wholesome experience.

The accommodation was in a beautiful setting on Lago di Garda. We arrived as the sun was setting so we could still enjoy the beautiful view of the lake from our balcony. The rooms were comfortable and cosy. There was even a refrigerator available. The breakfast was excellent. There were a variety of pastries, vegetables, fruit, eggs, sausages, various jams, pastries and more. It was one of the best breakfasts of our stay in Italy. In addition to breakfast, we also had a beautiful view of the lake. The staff was very nice. In the evening, we had dinner right at the hotel and we all had a great meal and some delicious prosecco.

We were a bit surprised by the way to the hotel, part of the way led through narrow streets and up a steep hill, but we made it 😊

I would totally recommend this place. We are a mature Canadian couple who have travelled the world ages 55 & 59. The cleanliness was second to none! The dining was great, the parking was easy, our view from our balcony had a picture perfect view of Lake Garda, the town itself was quaint and easy to navigate and few crowds. I wish we had more time there is all. We had a little fridge in the room which was also perfect, the lighting was fabulous. The balcony was a pleasure. It was serene.

One complaint only there was a leak from the shower that's it!

I booked five rooms for my guests and reserved the apartment suite for my family. The suite was amazing—clean, spacious, modern, and cosy. The other rooms offered an outstanding, priceless view of Lake Garda. Breakfast was good, and we enjoyed it on the restaurant’s balcony at the top of the mountain, taking in the breathtaking view of the lake.

I had dinner at the hotel restaurant—delicious but a bit pricey for a small portion of ravioli.

The staff was very kind. There was both a "bar" for lighter food and a restaurant. It was PERFECT for us to have two single rooms without having to pay two double rooms, since we are colleagues travelling for work with a restricted budget. Thank you so much. The hotel is close to Lake Garda and features a picturesque view of the lake. The residence in fact looks better than in pictures. We expected an old fashioned isolated place on the hill with the lake view, instead there were many restaurants opened until late (which is good since you don’t need to drive for a dinner) and many spots to enjoy the view. The breakfast was nice and the view from the restaurant showed the lake.

Some renovations can improve the stay in the hotel. Most rooms do not open the view of the lake - there are trees in front or the rooms are on the other side, plus you cannot choose the room with or without lake view (one solution is to sell rooms with/without view).

Hotel Costabella exceeded my expectations. The staff were really friendly, the room was clean and spacious and the restaurant had great food. It's not the most modern, sure, but it's comfortable and very reasonably priced. The location was great and the drive up the windy roads was all part of the novelty. It was great to sit on the terrace with a drink and watch the sun go down.

We booked a room for 2 adults and 2 children. We requested a cod for our three year old but we had to pay 75 euros extract, on top of the booking price. So we ended up sleeping with our three year old in the same bed even though we paid more for him in the booking.
