the view the hotel from the 60´s is wonderfull, i would say that for summer is hot, it is totally to preserve heat inside , that is great for winter but gets a bit hot in the room in summer with no AC

like said no AC so if is hot then the room gets warm for 4 people inside but open the window and its nice and cool.,, also for the price would be nice to include breakfast since is not cheap

I love that this hotel has maintained its old world charm, making necessary updates, but not feeling the need to modernize with bland design that makes it look just like every other hotel out there. There are great little nooks for sitting and reading with a cup of tea, original design details that you just don't see anymore. I hope they never feel pressured to "modernize" except in order to keep everything clean and functional!

Our second stay at this hotel and really nothing has changed . Free car parking ( a bonus in this area) . We booked a superior room with Mountain View well worth the extra staff are excellent every ones speaks to you . Very comfortable in this hotel

Under normal circumstances there would be nothing , normally temperatures at this altitude are around 15 degrees but because of the current heat wave in Spain they were 30+ so aircon would have been a bonus but they have a great terrace with plenty of shade ..and a bar near by

+ Great location in a mountain resort, 5-10 minutes drive from the border. + Lots of walking and biking trails around. Cableway nearby (relevant for winter travel). + Great English-speaking staff and service, we felt welcome, thank you for this experience + The hotel looks great both in common areas and in the room + We got a room upgrade: with mountain view and balcony, wow + Excellent opportunities for sleep (comfortable bed, 2 types of pillows) and relaxation (bath!) The Staff were amazingly friendly. Primarily the hotel caters for the winter season. So too the rest of the village. Many people do not experience the harsh conditions these people live in. As a Ski instructor in Andorra, my admiration and friendliness is much respected.

Nothing really. Any expectations of more should be checked. It’s a beautiful place

Great locations, friendly stuff, free parking, ski rental in the same building, sauna, food at breakfast and dinner, decent price.

the rooms are outdated and old, there are no driers for boots in the (unheated) ski storage room, putting on cold boots is not fun.

Charming reception and bar. Good size rooms with great balcony views of the mountains. Very attentive and friendly staff. Dinner catered well for a party of four vegetarians although choice was narrow and the menu overall was quite meat heavy. Otherwise - all excellent.

Decor is old and could do with update. Not many facilities in hotel.

Breakfast and dinners were great, high quality. Room was located next to the ski lift. Beautiful village and surroundings. All staff was very nice and helpful.

There was no snow in Candanchu and we had to go to Astun in a bus every day. The sofa bed was good for the two kids but a bit uncomfortable for my 11-year-old daughter. Internet connection was ok.

Beautiful location. Perfect view. Very friendly staff. Even out of peak season quite a rich breakfast.

Little bit old. But spotless clean and fully functional.
