We had a truly great stay at this amazing family-owned hotel. From the moment we arrived, Giovanni and his parents showed genuine interest in us as a family. As frequent travelers, it's quite rare to find a place that doesn’t rely on rehearsed hospitality but offers the kind that comes naturally. The atmosphere was very welcoming, with fair prices and honest service while accommodating our wishes without ever feeling forced.The accommodation was very spacious, clean, and clearly well looked after. From our room, we had a great view of the Sardinian Sea. The hotel layout was reminiscent of a small Mediterranean village, with different levels, staircases, and little details that gave it a nice local charm.It’s a place we’ll remember for sure, not only for the comfort of the stay but also for the way we were treated: with kindness, attention, and authenticity. Highly recommended! We will absolutely return the next time we visit Sardinia.

Hotel Mikalosso is in a very convenient location, making it easy to explore the area. The pool has a lovely view, and while it’s a bit dated and could use some maintenance (and was a little cold during our stay), it was still nice for a swim — especially for the kids, who enjoyed it a lot. The rooms are quite outdated and had a noticeable moth-like smell, likely from older furniture and bedding. Everything is a bit run-down, and the hotel would truly shine with a full refurbishment. That said, we didn’t expect luxury and still found it okay for our needs. Breakfast was fine but not particularly inspiring — mostly sweet cakes and pastries, with some ham and cheese. Presentation felt a bit unloving, and the eggs were not the best. Still, there was enough to start the day. Parking great. Overall, while the hotel is definitely dated, we enjoyed our stay as a family because it was budget-friendly, the view was nice, and we were out exploring most of the time. With some investment, this place could be a real gem.

The smell in the room.

The position of the hotel is good. It's located in a quiet 3 way crossroad. One that takes you in a few seconds to Cannigione, another that leads to the center of Arzachena in a few minutes and the third road takes you to the road ranging between Cannigione to Palau. It enjoys of a beautiful panorama of the typical Sardinian hills with the background on the bays with the typical turquoise waters of the area, with the view that extends all the way to the island of Caprera. The rooms are arranged around the hotel like a small village. The garden is colourful with flowers and is kept very well. The swimming pool is kept very well too, with the possibility of meeting the other guests of the structure. On the garden, near the swimming pool, there is also a small structure for training. The cleaning of the room is daily.

The location is wonderful! Set on a lovely hill with amazing sea views. The hotel is very close (less than 5 minutes by car) to Cannigione, a small but nice Vila with plenty of restaurants, beaches and all the services ( pharmacy, supermarket, stores). The breakfast setup on the balcony is very beautiful and has sea views. The staff was friendly and nice. The triple room was small and simple but very clean and comfortable. Enough for a couple with a young child. The pool was big and kept clean everyday. The hotel is surrounded by gardens and flowers. A good budget place to stay if you want to explore Costa Smeralda and just a 20 minutes drive to Palau, were you can get the ferries for La Maddalena. Also a 20 minutes drive away from Porto Cervo.

It's a bit outdated, the design is stuck back in the 80th, kind of like being on a time capsule. But the infrastructure has the potential for a 4 or even 5 star hotel. But then it really wouldn't be a budget hotel, right? ;)

The hotel is position short drive from Cannigione and is on top of the hill so views are good. The pool is decent size. The kids liked it. The breakfast is served on balcony with lovely views. Breakfast was nice althought its mostly sweet italian baked goods (yum). The staff were super helpful and friendly. Helped arranged boar rental for la maddalena. It was super hot that week and air con came handy. Would return if I needed to stay again that side of Sardinia.

We have booked double bedroom and junior suite. (We were afamily of four. )Both rooms were good but the windows were small. I would prefer junior suite to have larger balcony doors to enjoy the views, like French doors.

Lovely peaceful location with stunning views. Staff were welcoming and friendly. The room was clean and with good AC. The breakfast was very good with lovely coffee!

The shower was very small, toiletries provided minimal (sachets of shampoo). The family next door were a little inconsiderate with noise late at night!

The view from the garden/pool is amazing. The pool is also really good and nicer than it appears in the photos. The breakfast is also good and you can have it in the terrace with a great view to the sea.

The room and the bed were small but I believe they have bigger rooms if you booked in advance. We book in July with 3 days in advance only.

Friendly staff, lovely views over the water to the islands, good food, good swimming pool. The ‘village’ layout is especially creative and appealing, even though the rooms are relatively small.

Nothing about the property. We did dislike having a group of adults playing their music on a speaker at the pool and shouting and splashing, which spoilt a couple of hours of our stay, we had to leave the pool.

The „normal“ or standard room was a bit dark with cellarish feel and the window was directly onto the sidewalk of the road, one wouldn’t want to leave the window open…

Very beautiful hotel with absolutely amazing views. Very friendly, responsive, and professional staff. Good food and service. We stayed in a room with a very large balcony with an amazing view to La Madalena island. The balcony was spacious with two sunn loungers and garden furniture set. The pool was opened 24/7.

The water in the pool was very cold. Not temperature controlled.
