The pool areas are fabulous. The suites with kitchen, 2 bedrooms, and laundry are SO helpful when traveling with kids. HOWEVER, I hate when a sofa-bed is considered a "bed." Absolutely not. At these prices, it should include an actual bed.

Agree with others that there's a lack of food options here and in the surrounding area. The on-site restaurants weren't open when we visited (winter), so our only meal options were take out sandwiches, pre-made boxed sandwiches, or Pizza Hut. They have activities planned each day but literally every activity costs $$$. As in, $15 to tie-dye 1 t-shirt... pass. It's already an expensive place to stay!

We loved the spacious rooms - SUCH a great value and a must to have two rooms/two bathrooms/ a full kitchen and living space for a family of four with two young kids. The in-room washer and dryer and beautiful patio were a huge unexpected bonus! We also loved the tons of amenities (game rooms, fishing and beach rentals) the friendly staff, the pool options - and especially Theo, the super friendly water slide attendant!! I was initially worried about being pressured to invest in a time share, but the staff were very friendly and it was easy enough to decline. I would definitely choose the Welk again!

The furniture was a little older / uncomfortable in the unit we stayed in, and the location wasn’t the greatest (you had to bit of a drive to get to beaches or restaurants) - but that was completely expected and a worthwhile trade-off for everything you got in return.

My family and I flew out from North Carolina to attend my brother's wedding in Fallbrook. This resort was on their recommended places to stay and I'm so glad it was. From start to finish it was an absolute amazing experience staying at the Welk. Check in was fast and easy with very friendly service. The room was clean, a great size, had a nice balcony, and good amenities.

I do wish the kitchen was a little more stocked with a knife set and scissors. The shower head in the bathroom was very dated and seemed out of place for such a lovely room. All the buildings look the same so it's very easy to get lost, especially at night.

Gym was stacked with the latest of every possible kind of equipment, comparable to a 24-Hour Fitness but more well-maintained! While there weren't free weights, having a Smith machine for bench press was good enough. I was able to hit all the muscle groups in a very detailed manner. The climbing wall was a nice addition. Beats the typical hotel gym that has a treadmill and some dumbbells.

Even though the facilities were clean, the 1-bedroom 1-bath was structured very awkwardly. To go to the bedroom, you'd have to pass through the bathroom, which can get a little awkward if someone is using the bathroom. The sliding door in the closet, while it looks clean and unbroken, did not seem to be on its rails, so that door was unmovable when it should have been movable.

Large 2 bedroom villa, very accommodating with bedrooms on the sides and main living area and kitchen in the middle. Glad we had a washer and dryer inside the property too. And the fitness centers and rec centers were a great amenity that we took advantage of.

We didn't like that there were no windows that could open in the bathroom, it felt stuffy a lot since we had the heat on when it got colder in the morning and night. One of the hair conditioner bottles was nearly empty but we managed with the other one in the other bathroom. Kept forgetting to ask housekeeping about that during the stay.

super clean, they go the extra mile to make you feel special! beautiful surroundings and amenities for the whole family. they have daily activities, playgrounds, pool with slide, game room, theater that’s has shows every Wednesday etc… it is a really magical place for a family vacation

the only thing that I disliked is that they are very adamant about having to attend a time share tour since the club offers it .. so since your check in they are trying to make you commit to a date and time for a 90min tour to talk about time shares…

Fairly easy to navigate and felt more like a community than a hotel.

The splash pad and some amenities were a little outdated and worn with ripped padding. The sheets were stiff. The oven smelled like chemicals when trying to heat food, so we had to open everything up and air out the place. The Festival Under the Lights BbQ that was advertised was no bbq. They had hot dogs and wet pulled pork in which you got a cold bun and a scoop of with a scoop of store bought mac salad and potato salad and one slice of watermelon for $18. Expensive, cold and not bbqed.

The property is always in wonderful condition, the 2-room Villa was amazing, clean and comfortable with great views. Pool areas were excellent and accommodating. Staff was the best as always, especially at both slide-pools.

Although the Villa [Annie 176] was amazing, the traffic noise from the freeway and adjacent campus road could be heard in high volume throughout the night, causing restless sleep. Specifically, the gas golf carts driven by Staff were very loud in the late evening and early morning. Food options on the campus need to be improved/ upgraded, especially in the pool areas, since food & drink are not allowed in from outside

Very disappointed in reserving with Booking.com. I specifically asked for our two rooms to be close to each other and they were completely on different ends of the property, not even walking distance. Also requested an early check in and no one ever got back to me on other requests which meant we needed up checking in after the wedding we attended so maybe midnight ish. Terrible, we really wanted to get ready before the event and be closet together.

What a beautiful place, clean air, and a view of the mountains, it's something special! We will definitely recommend this hotel to all our friends and acquaintances. Already recommend! Thank you very much, it was a wonderful stay! It is a pity that we came only for four days. We will definitely come next year!

It would be very good to write "Reception" on the building, because it is not visible from the road. And if you are going for the first time (like us), then it led to the golf club, and you had to ask and go back
