This was our second stay, and we continue to love everything about this hotel and its amazing staff. The facilities are always impeccably clean, and the atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and comfortable. Every team member—from the front desk to the kitchen and housekeeping—is genuinely friendly and goes above and beyond to make guests feel at home. A special moment that stood out: my mom arrived at breakfast just a few minutes before it ended, simply hoping to grab a coffee and some fruit. To our surprise, one of the kind kitchen staff offered to make her a fresh omelette. That thoughtful gesture truly speaks to the level of care and hospitality here.

Honestly, there’s nothing I can fault! The hotel is beautiful and perfectly situated—just a short drive from San Diego, with shopping centers and restaurants right nearby. Everything exceeded my expectations.

Spotlessly clean in the parking lot, in the lobby, in the hallways, in the rooms, in the drawers and closets, in the microwave and mini fridge. USB outlets everywhere you need one. Front desk was always helpful. It’s a short but hilly walk to a few nearby eateries and 7-11. Rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The provided hand lotion was very nice: lightly scented, isn’t greasy, and didn’t irritate my sensitive skin.

Some of the USB outlets in the room didn’t work, but there were so many that it wasn’t a problem. I wish there was a bar bath soap as an alternative to the provided body wash.

I was grateful for the assistance afforded by the Receptionist on my arrival, on train services to San Diego. I was very impressed with the huge amount of space I had in my room. I was very satisfied with the delicious omelets cooked purposefully for me at breakfast.

Didn't like the sound of someone stomping around in the room above mine. The bedroom carpet was dirty. Each day after crawling around the room on my knees as part of my morning exercise routine, the tops of my toes on both feet were filthy. The air conditioner was far too noisy in the room.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Ayres Hotel Vista Carlsbad and it was truly an outstanding experience from start to finish. From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming, attentive, and professional, making me feel right at home. The room was immaculate, beautifully designed, and well-equipped with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was incredibly cozy, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. Housekeeping did an excellent job maintaining cleanliness and replenishing supplies daily. One of the highlights of my stay was the hotel’s dining experience. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of delicious options with impeccable service. Overall, my stay at Ayres Hotel Vista exceeded all expectations. The outstanding service, luxurious accommodations, and excellent amenities made it a memorable experience. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a first-class stay but budget friendly and I will definitely be returning in the future!

The rooms are functional and very clean, the breakfast with waffle and omelette station. The staff is very nice. Free parking.

The hotel should rethink its breakfast concept. Plastic consumption is immense. There were piles of plastic on every table during breakfast. The hotel should take responsibility here and move away from plastic and towards fresh and environmentally friendly products. Keyword Green Label. There has been the tv on all day long, which is not appropriate for such a hotel.

Staff, location, room, spa tub was the best! - very accommodating of my disability provided with a quiet room, and zero stress about my service animal.

It was fairly priced but too expensive for me to stay longer. Omelette buffet without organic eggs was a bummer lol. Higher quality, sustainable foods would be much better. I couldn’t eat anything they served. The trash system isn’t good. I stayed for weeks and had a hard time emptying my trash. There were tiny little bins in the room, no medium size trash can, and essentially no real trash service. Even when housekeeping came in, they left my trash bags there. I don’t think leaving trash bags in the hallway is polite to other guests so I carried my trash out with me each day when I went out to do things.

We are campers and have stayed in hotels, as we do not prefer hotels to the great outdoors. However, Ayres was an exception. It was definitely an upgrade...the facilities were gorgeous and the breakfast was beyond what we expected. We didn't even go the 1st morning based on our past experiences. Boy did we regret that when we enjoyed breakfast the 2nd morning...what a treat. We were too soon for the Happy Hour. However, we were glad to see that it was a success when we swung by when it was almost over. Also, I'm a light sleeper...not a problem at your hotel...THANK YOU! And, it was our 1st experience with our cat...we appreciate that!! The next time we're in San Diego, we will remember you!!!!!

The handicap parking wasn't always available, so that was definitely an inconvenience. We were afraid to leave to give up our spot since there weren't very many. But, that's the only thing that comes to mind.

Everything about this hotel was amazing. I know we are going to be back. Friendly staff, clean hotel, amazing rooms, quiet, amazing breakfast, clean pool, fast check in and check out.

If I had to say anything bad about this place, it would just be that the sink water pressure was very slow, but the shower pressure was too hard. It needs a good balance out. Other than that, this property is amazing!

Breakfast was great. Fresh omelettes were a hit!! Breakfast staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms and overall hotel was very clean and rooms were more spacious than expected. More than what was expected. Thank you to all staff!

Floors were a little thin. Heard kids running up and down the hall on the floor above us really early in the morning. Very annoying!! Water pressure out of the shower was very weak also.

Hotel was very clean and well maintained. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Pool and hot tube were very clean and pool area well maintained. Would highly recommend their properties as I have stayed in 3 different ones.

Breakfast.. was ok...maybe more variety on meat options..Only had sausage links and hashbrowns were soggy...other hotels serve them in a long container so they aren't sticky and clumpy. Other offerings were good: toast, muffins, bagels, fruit, and fresh made omelets.
