I would highly recommend this hotel for families as there are plenty of activities for kids, a modern gym facility, and the convenience of having paddle tennis on the resort property. Additionally, its location is perfect for exploring all the nearby attractions and the staff is exceptional at providing recommendations for places to visit and dine. Agreed, the room could use some updating but overall, this hotel is a great choice for families. The staff is friendly and the amenities are top-notch.

- Stayed at refurbished room , which was decent I remember the room was 118 - the food taste good especially the grilling during the weekend by the beach - easily can reach the pool and beach if your staying in lower floor , floor 1 - Simon at the ocean blue restaurant was amazing waiter, offered me very good service 👌 - the checkin/out was fast - free parking on sight you can park by yourself

- couldn’t not swim in the sea very high tides they’ve closed the beach due to monsoon weather - the ac wasn’t sufficient enough, felt humidity in the room - no one came to carry the bag in the checkin from the car - the tv and fridge wasn’t working - hotel facilities are outdated need new swimming pool , lobby … etc

I had a wonderful experience staying at the Crowne Plaza Salalah. Everything about this hotel was exceptional — from the beautiful location nestled between lush nature and the sea, to the comfortable and well-appointed rooms. The peaceful surroundings made it a perfect getaway, and the family-friendly pool was a great bonus. One of the highlights of my stay was dining at the Ocean Blue restaurant. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was relaxing, with a great selection of dishes to choose from. I would like to extend my sincere thanks to all the staff for their warm hospitality and excellent service. A special thank you goes to Roweina, Hussain, Maytham and Shasin — your kindness and professionalism truly made my stay even more enjoyable. I highly recommend Crowne Plaza Salalah to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable stay in a stunning location.

The hotel’s location overlooking the ocean was absolutely exceptional. The breakfast and lunch buffets were fantastic, offering a wide variety of delicious options. Most importantly, the staff were wonderful—always friendly, attentive, and eager to help. As for cleanliness, we were assigned a specific staff member to take care of our room throughout the stay. Skata was wonderful—always smiling and consistently keeping our room spotless. A truly enjoyable stay!

While I understand that safety measures are important, adding a few benches on the beach would have made the experience even better.

We thoroughly enjoyed our short break at the Crowne Plaza. Because it was Eid everything in the town was closed and we were unable to do any sightseeing in Salalah so we spent three very relaxing days around the lovely pools. There were also restrictions on the sale of alcohol due to Eid but the hotel managed this graciously and no one was offended or inconvenienced. We could still enjoy sundowners on our balcony looking over the lawns and listening to the sea. This was almost as close to enjoying the sea that we could get to as the beach is closed for swimming by law from May to October which we did not know and this was a disappointment but not the fault of the Crowne Plaza. However, I do think that this should be mentioned at some point in the booking process.The staff were universally very friendly and a particular thank you to the man who cleaned our room (305) which he did to a very high standard. As we were leaving the hotel he came running into the lobby with a pair of my husband's shoes which he had left at the back of the wardrobe. We'd recommend the Corwn Plaza to anyone wanting a relaxing stay in a very well appointed hotel.

On our first night we ate at the upper deck restaurant and the food was very poor. The calamari was very tough, the artichoke salad had huge bulbs of artichokes on a barely dressed bed of lettuce and the pasta was lacking taste. We thereafter avoided this restaurant and stuck to the Ocean Blue whose buffets are excellent, particularly at breakfast.

The location couldn’t be better, right on the beautiful white sand beach and close to the city centre. The breakfast was wonderful and served beachside and the rooftop bar/restaurant was perfect to watch the sunset.The room was spacious and very clean, our room boy was so kind (405) and we had a balcony with a beautiful ocean view. At reception Darshana was such a help with restaurant recommendations (we used them all ) and places to visit (we visited them all). Salalah exceeded expectations with its amazing beaches, warm sea , perfect temperature and friendly people and we will definitely return to the Crowne Plaza Hotel.

The drinks in the hotel bars were pricey.

Staff were very welcoming, since we enter the hotel receprion team showed the excellent service. We would like to highlight Sharmila as a great advisor - offering more convenient room considering our small baby requirements. Very helpful with recommending city sightseeing. Also very happy with Ocean Blue Beach House for breakfast by lead of Shauraf, great service even during the busy timing and full house. Team ia very kind and welcoming during our entire stay. Thursday dinner was nice, just want to advise to have more variety of seafood and meat main dishes. Also to have menu rotation for breakfast hot items. Italian restaurant was very good, Jasmin served us in a very professional level. Food was delicious. Definitely we will recommend and come back. Pool and kids facilities over reached our expectations.

I loved the location - beach front and a walking distance from a string of restaurants and walk along the sea beach. Staff was friendly, helpful and kind. The room was clean, fast wi-fi connection and comfortable bed. The facilities are super nice and convenient. Restaurants offer variety of sea food, curries, BBQ and international cuisines. Ee booked snorkeling and diving from the hotel. Amazing experience and a nice break. Unique ambience and relaxing atmosphere. I would definitely come back, and recommend to others.

The ATM was not working to withdraw cash, which would have been a problem if I was staying there alone.
