It is a truly charming location! Historic and in a lovely location in West Texas. The drive along the road from Belmorhea is very picturesque and pleasant to view at different times of day, to see how the light changes the scenery. The enclosed veranda, reading room, and central reception area are perfect for spending some time reading or having a coffee. This visit was in the first week of June, 2025, when the temperatures ranged from 78 to 85°F. We also made the short trip to McDonald Observatory for the star party. We will definitely return.

This is an awesome historic hotel. It is rustic but very comfortable and clean. It was pleasant just to sit in the rockers under the long front porches and enjoy the atmosphere. The restaurant was very busy at dinner and short handed but you would never know as the waitress handled it all in such a kind manner and very efficient way! The food was excellent and reasonable. This hotel is a gem in Fort Davis!
We managed the 360 claw tub shower okay but older people (we're 70 & 74) may need to know about it before booking.

For Fort Davis, it is the Ritz! If you need a nice place with comfortable, clean accommodations The Hotel Limpia is just the ticket. Staff were generally very friendly.
Our room was across the street from the main hotel buildings, above a storefront. I'd have preferred to be closer to the ice machine and lobby/garden/restaurant. A refrigerator would be a very welcome addition to the room.

Quirky historic building filled with antiques and amazing staff provided a se ce of comfort that’s hard to achieve
Not the hotel’s fault, but food in the town was hard to find. The town is struggling and the food choices were very limited. The food we did find was very good. The food in the restaurant attached to the hotel was good but it wasn’t open part of our stay.

This is a great historic hotel in a great historic town. The history of the property is very interesting and adds to the experience. The hotel is well maintained including the grounds and restaurant / bar next door.
Although the daytime temperature in the hotel was comfortable, the room AC temperature is not adjustable by guests and the room was not well cooled at night. Everything else about the property was great.

The pool was amazing and so clean ! The location was perfect for all the festivities, we were front and center. I recommend the Orchard suites, a little more modern than the main building my cousin stayed in. Very nice and informative staff. Old school feel hotel. If you have small kids the Orchard part/location is perfect as they have a huge covered place for them to play and ride their scooters, that’s what all the kids were doing.
Unfortunately our AC went out our second day stay, we notified staff immediately (the manager Tiffany) & she went and checked it asap, she notified us that spoke with maintenance & they told her what to do - it kinda seemed to work for a few hours then stopped again & unfortunately it was not, maintenance never did come out to look at it & we were HOT and uncomfortable ALL night ! But Thank you to the Manager Tiffany for trying, maintenance SHOULD have come out to look at it. We appreciate the Managers Effort.

We loved the room and the style, we had an exterior room so we had 3 windows, which was lovely at golden hour. The room was very clean, which we appreciated, and the AC was very nice, especially in the Texas heat. The staff was also very nice!
There's no microwave or fridge of any kind, and while we understand that the room we booked is without a kitchenette, it still made it difficult to cook meals in the room and store food. We had a cooler and the hotel had an ice machine so everything worked out, but we did miss the appliances we're used to lol.

We loved the decor history and ambiance. We live historic properties. The water there frim the tap is mineral water and we loved it. The whole town is on a volcanic mineral aquifer.
We would have preferred a/c controlled in our own room But we chose the upstairs budget room so we understand.

Fantastic! You see right from the outside that the hotel is beautifully renovated and maintained historic building. Our room fitted the atmosphere, clean, comfy with a historic touch. Our girls felt like princesses, that’s what they told me ;) There was even a room with a fireplace on the ground floor where guests gathered to chat. For sure best base for visiting star nights at McDonald Observatory.
