I love everything about this hotel. From the friendly greeting from the boss, it's location just off the motorway. It's very clean, not one bit of dust anywhere. I've stayed here 3 times and will be again very soon. The suite I was in was just amazing and has everything you could want. And plenty of parking is a huge help too

Friendly staff on arrival The parking permit required to use the lot is FREE - just ask for a pass at the desk, and return before you leave Lots on offer at the breakfast bar - plentiful vegetarian choices QUIET ROOMS - slept 8 hours solid with no disturbances, and the hotel was sold out (or at least the sign said it was)

no bags or rucksacks in the breakfast lounge i get you dont wish customers to take 'extras' for the day ahead , but surely it wont break the bank if an apple or banana goes out the door - clearly the premises have had previous occupants who took advantage of the selection on hand

Location to town square was very good, since there were a few restaurants close by. The staff were very friendly, helpful with information and assistance with our travel questions. Rooms were very clean, breakfast had a large variety of choices. And the fact that breakfast is included in the rate, was very much appreciated. Nice pub or lounge is part of hotel. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Brilliant place, great facilities and lovely bathroom. Loved the beds and the mini fridge in the bathroom. There were sockets next to the beds, which allowed us to charge up all our phones. Overall, this was an excellent place that offered great comfort.

I can't think of anything that we didn't like. Maybe that you needed to have a disc for your car in the car park and because we didn't, we couldn't have stayed longer than 9 am. However, as we had to travel, we didn't want to stay longer anyway, so it didn't affect us too much.

The location and the welcome from the hotel staff, very friendly and generously offered us space inside his garage to securely park our motorcycles for the night. Extremely helpful with tips about local facilities and eateries. Overall, why aren't all hotels this easy and pleasant to do business with. A superb experience. Well done!

Hotel was very well presented with excellent staff. Lots of drinks options from the bar with plenty of seating and tables. Room was really nice with a lovely shower room. Location is great with the beautiful village square with lots of bars and restaurants only a few minutes walk away. Breakfast was delicious with absolutely loads of options to suit everyone.

Good comfortable room; Aalter is a great location if you want to travel by public transport to Gent or Brugge

Staff a bit mixed. One person extremely helpful whereas the person looking after the night shift was a little unhelpful

It was my forth time staying here and I just love it. It's such a clean hotel. It's quiet. Parking is great. Beds are super comfy. Loads of space. It's so easy to get to from the motorway. The staff are super friendly, willing to chat and make you feel so welcome. It's my go to place in Belgium

I loved everything

On arrival we were upgraded to a superior room, it was enormous, quite new and very comfortable. Hotel Orchidee is well placed for travellers being quite close to the main through road N44 and within a short walk of the town centre bars and cafes, we found ample parking just around the corner. A good buffet breakfast is provided with an excellent selection of both hot and cold food.

We liked everything about Hotel Orchidee, it suited us perfectly and would have no hesitation in returning if we pass this way again.

Fourth time of staying so very happy with rooms, cleanliness, staff , parking outside so we can see our motorbikes from the window. Close proximity to nice restaurants, good bar, excellent breakfast and great staff

Limited drinks to make in rooms . Personal preference as I like a cup of tea
