Pleasant, clean and refreshing.

While the person who checked us in was helpful, others were quite indifferent. We had run out of euros and wanted to tip on our credit card, but this was not allowed. As a result, I wanted to carry my bags to the room. The staff member who escorted us to our room was very inappropriate. He simply unlocked the door, stepped in, and said, "Here it is.", turned around and left. He had a horrible attitude and I believe it was because I could not tip him. Regardless the reason, I would not rebook here because of this. Very unprofessional and unclassy behavior that does not match the brand's attempt to portray an image of class. We did experience great service in the bar for a coffee but one bad apple ruins it.

Beautiful historic building converted into a very comfortable hotel. We got an upgrade and were very happy with our premium room. Staff were charming and sorted a couple of issues out for us immediately. The location is great; slightly away from the busy centre but still within walking distance of all sights and loads of lovely restaurants, cafes and bars within walking distance.

A small niggle, but it was hard to take a shower without water leaking out of the double-footed shower enclosure.

Beautiful, spacious room, and a fantastic location. Not the cheapest place to stay in Brugge but as is often the case ‘you get what you pay for’

On the night we stayed the hotel had a large group of football fans staying and the noise these guests made when they returned that night was excessive, whilst this issue not necessarily the hotels fault we would have appreciated a little more empathy from the staff when we told them about it in the morning,

Hotel was just fabulous. Received free upgrade to suite on arrival. Really made our stay special as was booked as a surprise for my sons 20th birthday. Staff were all extremely helpful nothing too much bother. Bed was really comfy could have stayed in it 😴 Breakfast was one of the best l have had. Excellent choice of hot and cold dishes and little touches added like coffee and tea served to table, pancakes with hot chocolate and wine if you wished all made whole experience special.

Breakfast was amazing, everything was hot if it was meant to be. I am vegetarian so I was a little limited , vegans would struggle - I had lots of eggs .We were never rushed over breakfast, table cleared quickly. We had a drink in the bar a couple of times , lovely atmosphere and tasty nibbles. The position of the Hotel was perfect, walkable for lots of sightseeing , cafes, bars, museums, canals. We also went to Ostende to see the sea by train. Trains always on time and very clean.

As I said previously, maybe more for vegetarians and vegans at breakfast .

Our stay was amazing. The room was spacious, clean, bright, and nicely decorated. We loved the size of the bathroom especially the double sinks. The bed was so comfortable. The residence is only 10 minute car ride from the train station. It was quick and east to get to. We didn't have much interaction with staff other than checking in but they were professional and nice when we did talk with them. The location is central to the restaurants, shops and the center of the town. We loved our stay at the Duke's Residence and would stay there again. It was perfect and met all our needs.

A very grand main building, perfectly located to get to most things in Bruges. The staff were all very helpful and the spaces were all incredibly clean.

We didn’t know when we booked that we would be in a separate building from the main hotel. Not a bad room but just felt a bit detached with some things missing from the room - robes, slippers etc. The gym and wellness centre were great - perhaps treadmills could be updated as a bit dated now.

Very nice breakfast and variety. Lovely and most relaxing bar lounge with a nice atmosphere, friendly staff and nice drinks. Very helpful reception staff. Overall the property has beautiful decor and relaxing atmosphere in a perfect location to visit the city.

There wasn't anything I didn't like, although would have liked more spa treatment options.

Excellent size, and toilet is in separate room to main bathroom. Also in a beautiful location. Bathroom had a hot tub, which was very welcome after a long day of walking and seeing the amazing sights. Room contained a mini-fridge, and complimentary water bottles were provided and restocked.

Breakfast was not handled well - I was seated and waited 10 minutes and no one came to take my order for coffee and eggs. I had to try and get someone's attention. It did not feel like I got €35 per day value for money for breakfast.

Our hotel was lovely, & just across the road from its parent hotel, The Dukes' Palace, where we had to check in & also where we went for breakfast. Underground parking was also provided below the parent hotel, at an additional cost, but it was so convenient & secure. What a little gem the lovely Dukes' Palace Residence Hotel was : the location is perfect in a quiet little cobbled street & our rooms were spacious, spotlessly clean & came with toiletries & coffee making machines. It was very quiet too, though only a few minutes' walk away from all the hustle & bustle of the main attractions. Breakfast was served at the main Dukes' Palace Hotel across the road, which is an absolutely stunning hotel that resembles a castle. It's beautiful. We were absolutely spoiled for choice at breakfast - what a sumptuous feast we were presented with, and what choice! Just amazing! Sadly, we were only in Bruges staying at this fabulous hotel for one night, but if ever we find ourselves in this gorgeous city again, we'll be heading straight back to this hotel. We can't recommend it highly enough.

Absolutely nothing could have been better. It was a perfect score of 10/10. We'll be back for sure.
