Just a basic room. Location is very good. Breakfast seemed ok the first day. There is an abundance of free drinks and snacks at check in including beer. That was very thoughtful.

I didn't realise you could bring dogs and pets to your room. We were trying to sleep and the room next to us had a barking dog keeping us awake. It was horrific. The manager was speaking to the worker in the breakfast area about changing her contract and it was so loud everyone could hear it in the breakfast hall. She should speak to her in private about these matters. The second day many things were amiss in our room after cleaning. My wife's pillow was gone and her toothbrush was gone. THe second night there was a strong marijuana smell in the hallway and the breakfast was empty and not refilled on the second day.

We stayed for four nights, and it was a very pleasant experience. Adolfo and Lionel, the hosts at Karel de Stoute, made us feel at home. They were very kind and helpful with any requests we had. The best thing about this hotel is its location—near the Grote Markt area—so you can walk to every tourist attraction in Bruges. Also, the breakfast was delicious and plentiful, including hot beverages (coffee, tea), juices, bread, fruit, ham, sausages, eggs, and other tasty food. 100% recommended! Thanks to the staff for their lovely attention to me and my family. We hope to come back very soon.

Lovely room with atmospheric architecture. The place is a family run hotel and is very well kept. Breakfast was lovely, different options everyday (with freshly baked pastries every morning). We had a lot of them. Good location (10 minute walk from city square, could hear the Belfry tower from our room (with the window open). Just round the corner was a bridge with a secluded view of a canal. Rooms were very clean. Shampoo/shower gel provided, as well as tea and coffee amenities (which you could top up at breakfast). Double-headed shower -great for couples.

Only concern was (although we didn't have pets or children) windows opened very wide without any safety rails. Not an issue for us, but just to note for anyone travelling with the above.

I interacted with one staff person at the desk for the duration of my stay. He was very friendly. I went in late November so I wanted a hotel that was close to the Christmas market. It was a 5-7 minute walk. The first 3-ish minutes of the walk could've been better lit. I stayed at the hotel with my family (me, husband, and three little kids). There wasn't a room that could fit us all so we split up into two rooms. We requested that our rooms be close to each other and the hotel was able to accommodate our request.

This isn't a deal breaker, but the hotel doesn't do daily cleanings. However, if you need more towels or things like that, you can always request it. There is no elevator, so just a heads up there.

Our experience at this hotel was fantastic! The location is very central, within walking distance to everywhere in Brugge. The bed and pillow were incredibly comfortable, and the cleanliness was spotless. The hotel has a cool vibe that makes you feel cozy and at home. I highly recommend the breakfast—there's a big selection, and everything is fresh. They even offer freshly squeezed orange juice, which I loved! Special thanks to Adolfo, who was extremely kind and helpful, always with a smile. He even made our favorite eggs for breakfast, which was such a thoughtful gesture. If we ever come back to Brugge, I wouldn't look for another option. We will definitely stay here again!

Really friendly staff, sorry I didn’t catch the gentleman’s name who originated from Spain. Very helpful in giving us things to do. Good location, just a short walk into the city. Great that we could leave our luggage in the store room too. Beds were very comfortable.

We had to have a heater placed in our room upon arrival due to our radiators not working. They never really got going for whole trip, so I remember one evening when we came back from exploring after it had been raining heavily that our room was very cold, especially the bathroom.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay here. Everything was lovely. Felt very well looked after, and very safe. Adolfo was incredibly helpful from as soon as I booked my stay and helped with all and any questions I had. I hadn't visited Bruges before, but felt very well prepared to find my way to the hotel thanks to Adolfo. He truely went above and beyond. Very glad I chose this hotel. Wonderful location, wonderful hotel, wonderful staff, very accomodating. Couldn't recommend more!

The location was absolutely fantastic, close to the centre and near everything you'd want to see. Decent walking distance from bus/train station but free shuttle bus also available. Staff (reception) were better than you could ask for! Friendly, helpful, full of local knowledge, and happy to share tips and tricks for the area.

Location was great. Away from the businesses of the centre so a very quiet stay but still a short to all you want to see and do. Cleanliness of the room was well up to standards and very comfortable beds. Size of the room was great and had all that you needed. Adolfo was the best host. Communication was fantastic and so welcoming. Helped us out on what to see and do. Would happily stay again.

Aldofo was very accommodating and friendly, the room was clean and the hotel in a great location, only a short walk from the free shuttle bus from the train station (use this, your suitcase will thank you). The breakfast was also good. This place has unbeatable value for money, would recommend to anyone.

Just small maintenance items like the safe didn't work and the toilet seat hinge was broken.
