We knew what to expect. It is not particularly luxurious, and that is a good thing. We are happy that the recent renovations did not drastically change the historic character of this former convent. Very tastefully and modestly renovated. The location is fantastic for a reflective retreat.

The fact that the bathrooms are mixed (men & women) is a problem. It is ok that there are shared bathrooms (we expected that from a former convent), but there should be separate designated men's rooms and women's rooms.

The setting was beautiful. I loved watching the boats on the water. The breakfast was beyond expectation. The room was small but clean. Next time we must have a private bathroom.

We did not realize there was no bathroom in the room. A private bathroom is a must for seniors. We will call the hotel directly next time to make sure we have one.

The lady at the front was always on the phone and not very pleasant to deal with. Also windows had spiders and webs all over, that could use some attention!

the architecture is beautiful. Room is nice and tiny, but enough to put 2 big 2 small suitcase. It’s a share bathroom, all clean. Staff are helpful and nice :) Breakfast was amazing!

only thing is the pool not heated like the website said.

. The room and bathrooms where clean. The room reflected it's history as a convent but practical. The breakfast was very good as well. The grounds are spectacular and access to the nature reserve was an extra bonus. This place has very basic rooms with no television. However, there are plenty of lounges to hang out in with televisions. This place is a bit off the beaten track but worth the trip. The room price was very reasonable. Most of the rooms do not have bathrooms in the room. You need to specify which one you want.

In the booking information on Booking.com I did not see where it mentioned that the bathrooms were not in the rooms for my selection. That was a surprise upon my arrival. The road to the hotel is gated and there should be a sign saying press the call button which was not obvious in the dark when I arrived. Also the side door is locked at night which means you have to walk around the building to access the hotel.

We arrived during a bad heat wave found they had no AC I think this was a Hostel so my fault for no informing myself But the grounds are absolutely stunning with spectacular sunset over the lake they where very accommodating

The " free " breakfast was awesome. Pool was great but the hours it's open are minimal. Great sunsets .

No air conditioning, rooms have no bathrooms nor TV. I think thus place used to be some sorta covenant for nuns.

Brilliant getaway with lots to explore in and around the hotel compound. Recommend renting the bike for a day and explore even further.

Didn't realize I had booked the non-en suite room. I understand that these are available.

The grounds and view are very nice. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was simple but good.

My room was a bit too warm and no ac. No soap in the sink in my room. No plastic or paper cup in my room.

The staff was fantastic. We appreciated the variety and convenience of the breakfast. The bistro was lovely, and we enjoyed the diversity of guests. The refuge was a treat, and we treasured the outdoor seating options.

You may want to pack bug spray and confirm if your room has an attached bathroom or not. We highly recommend shower sandals for communal bathrooms.
