It’s obviously older. Built originally in the 1930’s. The current owner has been there for 9-10 years. The rooms were clean. Bathroom was reasonably updated. The place is in a great location for a brief stay. Beautiful neighborhood with a short walk to the lake. If you want modern, stay at the airport. This is a nice break from chain hotels and is just a couple of blocks from a great Irish pub with good food.

It is located in the middle of a nice residential neighbourhood. It has plenty of parking and is privately situated (you would never guess they have a hotel there driving by). Some good food options just steps away.

Well, it's a Canadian motel haha, it still has that early 90s vibe to it and everything is dated. But all is functional and clean and you get a little fridge and a microwave. Definitely better that the $250 downtown hotel I stayed in on my previous visit.

Between me & my husband and other family members we tried 7 of the available rooms over two periods of stay. All were clean, with comfortable beds and equipped to the level of that room - we sampled the full range from economy up to the suite with full kitchen. The whole site had character with well-kept gardens. The buildings are old, so some of the fixtures and fittings weren't pristine but everything worked. The owners were very friendly and genuinely helpful and very welcoming. The location in Beaurepaire Village was perfect with a coffee shop, nice pub/restaurant, pharmacy, and convenience store plus a good pizza take-away. We didn't have a car but could get a bus to downtown Montreal from just outside (or to the airport with 1 change of bus). I had selected the Chalets because they were walking distance from family in Beaconsfield. We had to move mid stay to a bland chain hotel that was much more expensive because the Chalets were fully booked. All 5 of our party gave The Chalets our vote.

Owner was so friendly. Place was clean and comfortable and had all the ammenities necessary to start your day. Great location... walked to visit family, lake, restaurants and cafe just around the corner. Loved sitting outside reading my book first thing in the morning. Very peaceful. We will definitely book again when we are visiting family.

It truly exceeded my expectations.

Convenient and attractive location. Good value compared to hotels nearer airport. Staff were very friendly and helpful - this type of traditional establishment is hard to find anymore.

Pillows were pretty flat. Some features were rather dated … could use minor facelifts - such as, for example, knob on faucet.

It was very cozy and comfortable Great location. Grounds were very well kept, loved it!

Very courteous and respectful. We were running late for check in. and they called to say that they were closing up, but told us where to find the key. Will definitely stay again.

We were arriving later than the normal check-in time and the manager called to let us know where the room was and how to enter it. Also, the motel was in an unexpectedly nice neighborhood that was nice to walk around!

The mattress sagged toward the center but it was otherwise comfortable enough. The furniture and room was somewhat old and tired but it was very clean (my spouse found the smell of the cleaner (Mr Clean?) a little strong when we arrived but we aired the room out for a few minutes and it was fine)

This lovely motel is an unexpected gem which has made us want to come back. The quirky space was a completely unexpected joy. We had great conversations with other guests in the shared outdoor space. Our kitchenette was exactly what we needed.

The fact we couldnt book it for another night.

We stayed on two occasions as we travelled to and from eastern Canada. The first occasion we were in a two bedroom unit at the far end of the complex. Ideal for us.

The second time a two bed facility was not available and we were located in the one bed unit close to the main street. A very nice unit also but the amount of light coming into the room from street lighting was a little too much. A small thing but perhaps some more effective blinds on the windows would solve that.

Everything was great! The room was clean, and the man at the reception was very kind and helpful.

Bed was a bit hard for my liking, but that’s just a matter of taste. It was a pleasant stay regardless.
