Views are stunning. Nice clean bedroom. Fridge. Parking facility. Great pool. Nice outside area with lovely views. Outside warm shower. Quiet and tranquil location. Rooms are clean and tidy and we had a great terrace with stunning views

No kettle. A major disappointment for my girlfriend who is addicted to tea before bed and in the morning. They didn’t have any upon asking either. Pool area could do with a daily sweep around and the leaves removed. I did it missed on the last day, which wasn’t an issue. Also animal faeces on the side not cleaned, as no daily clean up. Only a minor issue but had to knock a point off. Just attention to detail. Staff in the restaurant- although non offensive, they just didn’t come across as friendly, especially compared to the staff in the local bar and the one other restaurant who were super friendly and all gave a good vibe. It is quite remote, one other restaurant in the village and one bar. But both of these were excellent , but just be aware, it may not suit everyone.

The room was clean. Young lady in restaurant and maid who cleaned our room very helpful and nice.

They did not mention when booking that after 7:00 check in you were on your own with instructions on how to get in hotel. Person on WhatsApp who we were communicating with hung up on us and then would not answer phone when we called asking for help when we couldn't find the place. We finally did. Once in the hotel young lady in restaurant was very helpful. She did not work for hotel, I think. Also was never told password for wifi was on key chain. Next day when reception Person saw us at restaurant, never acknowledged us at all.

I had a great stay at Hotel Vatluna! First of all the staff is amazing. They prepared handmade decorations in my room because it was my girlfriend's and my anniversary and it was super sweet! They are also very warm and welcoming, we had amazing chats with them in the morning at breakfast. The location is also amazing. The view from the window/balcony/pool is unbelievable and the little town the hotel is located in is really enchanting. It's a bit up in the hills, so it's only reachable via car (that I know of), so be prepared to drive small curvy little Italian roads to get to it. But definitely worth it. It's also pretty close to the sea and sea towns (Castiglione della Pescaia, Punta Ala) and beautiful countryside (Siena, Montepulciano, Volterra). We had a great stay and I'd come back :)

We stayed here for two nights. The checking-in process was fast as it worked online before our arrival. By the time we arrived, the lobby staff had already left, but we received all the necessary information via a WhatsApp message, and the key was left in the lobby. Our room was spotless, charming and stylish, and had a fantastic land view. The beds and the pillows were really comfortable. The pool and its area were also OK. Parking was included in the price, and upon arrival, we also received a remote control for the car park gate. The breakfast satisfied all of our needs in variety and quality and was served by a lovely old but very fit lady called Monica. We met every morning and got into a conversation very quickly. Monica warmly welcomed us and kept her eyes on what to bring and how to pamper our needs or favour while smiling and singing quietly. The pies served were her homemade pies and were really very delicious. She introduced the view we had from the breakfast area. She also talked about herself and how she sees the world, her art pieces exhibited in the breakfast area. Monica is definitely the heart of the place, and we felt she was like our lovely grandmother. At first, we supposed that Vetulonia was a tiny place, even smaller than a village, just some houses, and there was nothing to do there at all. But we found a community here. There is a pub in the village centre where all the local people come together, talk and have fun in the evenings on the main street; in the village, there is a restaurant, a museum and churches, as well. There are even festivals in the village. This place is the island of tranquillity, and if you are curious about the real life of rural Italian people, just come here and look.

Mind your legs near the beds in the room. The corners of the beds are really sharp.

Excellent location in a tiny Tuscan village. Great views on the countryside and sea in the distance. Rooms clean.

Limited staff availability for check-in time. Original booking through another well-know travel app had been cancelled by hotel (no reason given). Rebooked via Booking at an increased price. One room booked appeared to show the availability of a double bed and a single bed but in reality only a double bed present.

Accommodation at the end of a small village overlooking vineyards. Splendid view. Decent breakfast, helpful and friendly staff, and a beautiful swimming pool, which was a welcome relief after a long, hot day in the car. I can recommend to people who like calm and relaxed athmosphere.

Excellent location if you are touring and have a car. Coastal beaches are just 30 mins away from this mountain retreat hotel. Very friendly staff and excellent restaurant.

The view was absolutely stunning, the room was very comfortable and clean, we had dinner at the hotel restaurant downstairs and I can strongly recommend delicious pasta with cinta senese. The staff were helpful and, as we arrived quite late, the self-check in option was perfect.

The hotel is in the town of Vetulonia which is on the top of a mountain. The view is of course tremendous. You need a car to get there. The village is small and quaint, with a couple of bars and restaurants. We used this stay as a base for our daily travels to different villages on the coast.

The wifi is completely unreliable. To be honest it hardly works. I don't think it is the hotel's fault, bad wifi is an issue all over Tuscany, and then being on the top of a mountain in a rural village doesn't help.

Really great hotel with beautiful views and very comfortable, Staff was really helpful. Very good breakfast.
