Gran Babil is situated in the historic center of Sanliurfa, close to the main attractions of the city (Balikligöl, Mevlid - i Halil Mosque, Castle, Kizilkoyun Necropolis, Mosaic Museum, etc.) My room was clean and nicely decorated, equipped with everything necessary for my stay. The bed s are comfortable and I slept there better than at home as all was quiet around. The wifi worked well. The tasty breakfast is served in the upper floor of the hotel, the meals are already prepared on the plates.Further you can make tea or coffee for you any time. There is also a sitting area in the yard down. If you want to use public transport from the main bus station, you can arrive there in just few minutes from the bus stop. The owner and all the staff are very kind and friendly, always ready to help you with anything you need.Thank you for everything! I chose the hotel for the second time and I am sure I will return again when I am back in Mezopotamia :)

All was perfect for me.

If you want to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of Şanlıurfa (Urfa), this is the right place. Very nice and cozy hotel. Very good location. Extremely polite and caring staff. I recommend this hotel.

Property location was very good, within walking distance of the historic district and the Sanliurfa Museum. Tucked into an alley but signs on the main street help guide you in. The breakfast was good with plenty to eat. Rooms are simple but with stone walls so won't hear neighbors. However, there is a mosque next door, so you can expect to hear that loud and clear. The staff was very helpful and friendly, really great people. Bathroom quite cramped, not a problem for us but could bother others. Would stay here again.

Courtyard area was good, knowledgeable staff who were able to get past the language barrier. Room was nice, opened up into the courtyard.

No one told me breakfast was included on the terrace 🙁 so I missed out.

Receptionists was very kind and helpful with guest needs and inquiries, despite they communicated in the local language instead of English.

This hotel is in an alley of the old town and has, as is the custom in piping hot Saiurfa, a courtyard which is irrigated to bring coolness in the afternoon. Musa was the guy mostly on duty during our stay, and there was nothing he could not fix with gusto. His aim is to make the lives of his guests run as smoothly as possible. With him in your corner, one could conquer the world. Room was fine, fridge already switched on. Aircon efficiently cold. The hotel is within walking distance of the magnificent Urfa archaeological museum with its separate mosaic building, as well as Balikligöl, the water canal where we sat with our feet in ice cold water, the ancient covered market and several eating options. Parking is problematic, but Musa makes those problems go away too. English is not spoken, but staff is very adept at using translation apps and there is no hindrance. Tea and hot water on tap and use of the small kitchen are bonuses. There is a small outside seating area upstairs and downstairs, but during our stay it was too hot from early to late to make use of it.

The very kind breakfast lady supplies already packed plates. The food is good enough to keep one going, and the fresh, ample supply of bread is made doubly attractive with honey, jam and Nutella. But the menu never varies.

Everything was perfect! Clean room, hot water in the shower, good Wi-Fi and AC. Walking distance to the attractions in the city centre. Most importantly, the hotel owner Musa and the staff were very friendly and diligent, they tried their best to help me out. I will definitely come back! Bus number 0 to Göbeklitepe departs from the west of Sanliurfa Archeology Museum three times daily. It’s less than 15 minutes from the hotel on foot. As of today, the bus fare is 15 liras per person, pay cash to the bus driver.

A beautiful courtyard and stairs with flowers for photos to Instagram.)) The receptionist Moses is perfect! He is very hospitable and tried to help me in every question. He helped me to order food from the restaurant because it was late to walk. And he gave me a tasty ice-cream and bahlava. He took care of my comfort during my staying in the hotel. Then he was worried if I could catch my bus to Cappadocia. Thank you so much for your hospitality!

A street is a little dark near the hotel. Be careful if you are a girl travelling alone.) I didn’t like that booking.com took money from my credit card before my check-in and his exchange rate (for euro-rubles) is awful! But it is not the problem of the hotel. - It is a question to booking.com. But I didn’t know this before during my trip in Turkey.
