My husband & arrived at the amazing La Ermita Suites (Único Hotel Monumento de Córdoba) on Friday, only to find that we had been graciously upgraded to a larger suite. We were treated with a mini tour of this historic set of buildings by Javier who was exceptioally knowledgeable. Our suite was spacious, beautifully appointed, with a lovely view through the garden to the Islamic horseshoe gate. It was quiet, if not serene. The location was exceptional and every monument/place of interest was no more than 11 minutes away - 2 minutes to the Mezquita! What a joy this hotel is!

This historic property is in the historic center of Cordoba in a lovely little square. Throughout our stay many people stopped to take photos of the beautiful propoerty. It is central to everything and in our 4 days we kept discovering new nooks and crannys to explore. Javier was genteel, doing everything possible to make our stay exceptional. He went above and beyond. Javier booked us for a show at the Royal Stables. The seats were premium and the show was a highlight. The hidden kitchen was well equipped. The windows in our room were fantastic for shutting out all noise from the nearby streets and plaza. However during the day we loved the background noise of people enjoying the nearby plaza cafe.

It's a small thing but a few more hooks in the bathroom and a shelf in the shower is something I appreciate.

The location of this hotel is excellent. A beautiful historic monument hotel in the old part of town and a 2 minute walk to the Mezquita (which was breathtaking!). The staff were so friendly and extremely helpful, especially Laura who answered all of my questions, had plenty of suggestions, and prompt responses. They also offer to arrange any experiences you may be interested in. Before my arrival, Laura sent me a great list of things to do, many that I did not even know were options in Cordoba. It was a good insight to the history of the city. When I asked about the local wine, Laura said they had some at their little bar. So I bought a glass and she brought it out to me to drink on their romantic outdoor patio -dreamy!

The shower smelled musty

Excellent communication with Javier, the host, who was wonderful in his recommendations and his enthusiasm for the property. The property was a chapel and a hermitage and has been renovated superbly to a very modern place to stay, retaining superb elements of the old building. The property is beautiful, so much so that any tourist who wanders through the small square stops to take a photograph. The property could not be more central in this most beautiful city. It is in a pedestrianised square, so very quiet. It is a one minute walk to the Mezquita and a two minute walk to the main bridge. All the sites of Cordoba are easily walkable. It is a 15 minute taxi ride from the railway station and taxis have access to the pedestrianised square. There is a small, characterful bar with a small terrace on the opposite side of the square from the property. We were in the duplex apartment and it was extremely comfortable with a sofa and kitchenette in the downstairs area with an immaculately clean shower room running off it. Upstairs (about 8 steps)was the bedroom with a really comfy bed with quality linen and fitted wardrobes and safe. The property has separate air conditioning units for the bedroom and lounge, with the bedroom unit being particularly quiet. In the main room there are two french windows looking out over the square and also a window in the bedroom looking out over La Ermita's small communal terrace. There are enough implements and pans to produce your own meal in the kitchen. The property was spotlessly clean. There are many eating options within a couple of minutes walk and Javier's recommendations were excellent. At present the property does not provide breakfast but we found an excellent cafe called "Hygge", only two minutes walk, which had excellent coffee and freshly baked croissants and a great variety of cakes. Overall a wonderful stay and when we return to Cordoba we will definitely stay at La Ermita again.

Just a really beautiful property. Rooms were large , unique, & clean!! Very comfortable bed too! The hotel is a monument hotel with an interesting history. The owner even gave us a gift upon leaving!!!!

Could not drive to the front door of the hotel - streets are too narrow. Had to park about 5 minutes away. Make sure your suitcases have wheels. There is not someone at the front desk overnight but they do have a number to call if you have an issue.

We loved the location and the view from our room was wonderful. We felt like we were in the best area in Cordoba to base ourselves. Bonus was the fast-food chicken place across the square! You won't regret choosing this spot. The attention to detail is fantastic and it feels so posh and high-end. We really felt welcomed!

We really don't have complaints. There is no on-site parking however we parked in the La Ribera secured parking garage and made two trips to retrieve our things so we weren't weighed down. It's a 5 minute scenic walk if you go by the river; not a big deal.

Sleeping in the historical place is a such privilege!!!! Our room was amazing, ellegant decororation and very comfortable beds. The location is perfect, 3.minutes walk from all the attractions. What made this trip is the owner of this magical place Javier, very passionate about his work. He recomended and organized a private tour with the guide which was a five star experience. Beautifully restored hotel, close to the mosque and juderia. Very lush rooms, we had an amazing terrace with a small ornamental pool. Very helpful staff. We’ll equipped if you wanted to self cater

The air conditioning in the bedroom was somewhat sluggish, but the staff gave us a large fan which worked very well. There’s no food provided, but there is a small bar and you’re within 5min walking distance of literally hundreds of restaurants, cafes and food shops.

The location is perfect, right besides the Mezquita. The hotel is in a very beautifully restored historic building, every tourist passed by took picture of it. It's on a lovely little plaza, you can watch people right on your balcony. The room is very clean, tastefully decorated and well stocked. They even have the bed making service at night for the sofa bed. Host gave us very detail driving instruction well before we arrive. Javier waited for us when we came, and he showed our room and gave us lots of information. You rarely get these services now a days. It's the best hotel we had in our Spain trip!

Driving in the narrow alley is very hard, some places could get you stucked. So follow host's instruction carefully. Room is a bit on the small side, if the sofa bed is made, you can't walk around it.

Fabulous stay at La Ermita, which sits right in the Center of Cordoba historic center but on a quiet square away from tourist noise and agitation. Rooms are all different and charming, all coming with a kitchen, beautifully decorated and showing some stone walls of the original building dating back to 1700. Staff is extremely helpful and friendly, providing support and directions to reach the hotel by car to drop your luggage. A public car park is available 2 minutes away. Wonderful experience I would warmly recommend.
