The host's welcome was excellent, although the locked gate did confuse us to start with! However, that was soon sorted and everything was brilliant. The house is very unusual - in a good way - and almost like a living museum or antique shop. Every room is full of quirky features and furniture. We hadn't booked an evening meal but a three course meal was rustled up at short notice for both of us and it was beautiful and very authentic, with a half bottle of wine each and a coffee for me for a total of €69. Our trike was locked away in their personal garage and nothing was too much trouble. What a stay - we highly recommend this place for so many reasons. (P.S. The additional host, Tarrow the St. Bernard, is so friendly too!)

We had the most amazing time here with the lovely Carole. As soon as we arrived she made us feel welcome and showed us into her wonderful home ( you have to see it to believe it). It’s a night we will not forget for a long time, eating, chatting and drinking just as if we were all friends. Thank you Carole from Rob, Christine, Dave and Jane

Our second stay here. The hosts are just amazing, so friendly. The hosts have have two Bernese Mountain dogs who are a part of the family and we loved these dogs. Motorcycle friendly with secure parking. Great food. Great hosts. The house is a living museum - absolutely out of this world. Amazing.

The room was so way over what was expected in quirkyness. I had the Coco Chanel room which was Ill chosen for a single guy. I would have liked the Marilyn Monroe room but it may have kept me awake, if you know what I mean.

There was a lot to take in, you just have to enter the spirit of the wonderful couple and their efforts. Nothing else.

Dog feaces in the garden, so kids couldn't play football. I couldn't get out of the house at night because of two big dogs running around free downstairs in the house, They turned out to be friendly next day and in the presence of the owner.

This property is QUIRKY. If you like quirky and you like large dogs (and cats) you'll be in 7th heaven. The decor is bonkers, but in a wonderful mad way. I loved it, for it's rare character. The place is spotless and with the amount of antique and vintage stuff everywhere, cleaning must be a full time job! The bed was very comfortable. The host could not do enough for us, she bent over backwards to make our stay enjoyable. We are experienced dog people and adored fussing her two enormous dogs, Breakfast was filling and cooked to order. Everything that could be done, was done to please us.

The property is located on a hill on the main road out of town.. All night, without end, the lorries roared past. As it was hot and without air conditioning, we had to have a window open. The road noise meant a rough night indeed and sleeping was the main purpose of our stay. Parking was free, but it was on a wide pavement outside the house. Our car was fine, but it didn't stop us worrying.
