Everything! Superb out of the way converted winery. Beautiful setting with two pools in ancient basins - I swam in the smaller one which was so warm. Lots of quiet shady places to relax. Huge room with massive bathroom. Victor produced a superb 5 course menu and he enthusiastically described every course. All the staff were so friendly and welcoming from Elodie to Jan (one of the owners) who was so friendly at breakfast where there was lots of fresh produce and he made omelettes. So sad we were only passing through but will be back next year for a longer stay. A really relaxing place.

This is an outstanding experience that genuinely feels like home... or more like the home you dream of having! It's only a 25-30 min slow walk along the canal straight into Narbonne centre (less than 10 minutes in a taxi), but feels like the middle of the countryside. The property is gorgeous and peaceful -- a private estate. Its stone-built farmhouse with barn and an assortment of gardens or yards are populated with mature trees, lush greenery, and stone fountains. The swimming pools are amazing -- their sealed concrete and natural stone makeup blends in beautifully to the landscape, and the water was the perfect pH. It's spacious inside the hotel with thick hardwood floors and beautiful windows overlooking pretty scenery. The furnishings such as the bed, the desk and chair, the artwork, are all lovely quality which makes you feel valued as guests. Everywhere is perfectly equipped and spotlessly clean. They must have the biggest fluffiest bath towels ever. Do not miss the beautiful breakfasts, and do take advantage of booking the outstanding massage therapy available on site. We found this to be a perfect getaway. Thank you Jan for being such a wonderful host. We look forward to returning!

Jan and Cynthia were very welcoming from the beginning of our stay until our reluctant departure. Jan is passionate about all things at this charming inn and it shows, time and time again. Our room, (no 1) was spacious, comfortable and very tastefully decorated. The huge king sized bed was similarly very comfortable. Every morning a wonderful breakfast was laid out in the casual but sophisticated common room. One evening we enjoyed the appetizer platter, beautifully presented and dessert. Another evening we strolled around the property seeing the lake and the local herd of sheep. We also enjoyed a bike ride to the Canal du Midi which is a short distance away. The online booking photos are beautiful but the reality is even better.

The host Jan was great in every way, whether it was giving advice about the area, making breakfast or serving dinner. The boco bowl was nice, but Victor (the house chef) making us a very good private dinner in the main salon was great. Being there in January, with rain, made the outdoor property less appealing to walk around or play petanque. Still, the exterior facilities really are nice and in spring through autumn would be wonderful. My only disappointment was that we had the least expensive room which had a queen bed. It would be nice if a property of this level would have king beds in all rooms.

The hotel has been restored to perfection, the whole building is amazing. The effort made by Yann and Cynthia to make our stay wonderful was the best and they could not do enough to make our stay memorable. The dinners cooked by Victor were well worth the expense and were absolutely amazing. Breakfasts were better than I have ever had before. Yann’s specially cooked omelette was also delicious. We are planning to return again next year if possible.

We loved the house, our room, the meals, and the hosts. It was perfect! It is a beautiful domaine in rural France and was quiet, peaceful, and restoring. The breakfasts are excellent. In the evenings, we enjoyed the great selection of wines and the in-house selection of bocas (dinners) and the amazing cheese plate. Biking along the Canal du Midi with bikes borrowed from the domaine was one of the highlights of our trip.

Nothing everything was perfect.

Everything about this property is extraordinary....the setting, the ambience, the proprietors, the gorgeous natural pools, the well appointed rooms, the grounds, the peace, the bountiful breakfast, bike riding in the countryside, the personal attention....I could go on and on and on with superlatives...this was our second visit and we hope to return many, many times! This isn't just a hotel....it is an experience.

If you’re looking for something a little out of the ordinary this place is a gem. Beautiful property inside and out. Relaxing for body and mind. Super comfortable, large, clean rooms. Incredible beds! Amazing breakfast with fresh breads, pastries, jams, yoghurts, fresh fruit and cheeses and the best omelettes we’ve ever had prepared by our host Jan. We’re so lucky to be able to participate in the weekly gourmet, 6 course dinner, prepared by Chef Victor. Delicious and so much fun! Our hosts Jan and Cynthia went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. The property is located in the country side but within walking and biking distance to the city of Narbonne and also within easy reach of the medieval city of Carcassonne. Thank you for a fabulous stay!

We loved absolutely everything!

Stunning, peaceful location outside of historical Narbonne, perfect for calm walks around the grounds. Stylish and spacious open plan space for guests with kitchen facilities free to use. Warm welcome with a glass of kir royale from Jan. All possible needs catered for during the stay, such as ordering taxis. Delicious and unique breakfast spread. Innovative BOCO meal in the evening. We even got to meet Jan's baby as we waved goodbye!

gorgeous setting. rustic and yet accommodating and modern at the same time. staff were super helpful and took so much care with breakfast and sourcing excellent recommendations. everything is local and bio. they even have an incredible chef that comes to cook a 5 course meal and they source great local wines. felt in nature but also very close to town in Narbonne.

I’d like better bedding and pillows. I’d also recommend they upgrade their bikes if possible. it is a lovely ride to town from their property but the bikes are a little run down.
