Really nice small resort, nice restaurant, nice pool, friendly staff, very friendly cook who helps beyond his responsibility. We were also able to use the massage and yoga services offered by neighbor resorts and that was great.

We booked 2 rooms apartment but realized 1 room was actually an entrance with beds. Can work out for a family but for us was not ideal, also because 1 toilet for 4 people is tight. The staff at reception and restaurant is junior and speaks so so English. We would suggest that the European managers who anyways sit in the spaces there all day (Czech) would be in turn at reception and take care of customers.

Nice quiet family hotel located on the seashore. Good breakfast, but would like a little variety. There are several restaurants in the area on the beach where you can have a tasty dinner. The rooms are clean, the plumbing is new, the humidity due to the weather leaves much to be desired. Very nice good-natured owners of the hotel, I send them my regards

We had everything we needed for our vacation. Everything was very convenient. Beach beds enough for all guests, nice and quiet pool in a beautiful garden, Italian restaurant on the beach with best cocktails, the disco club just in front of the hotel beach, best massages we had (I recommend) and Hana tattoos for me and my daughter. Food was excellent, both breakfast and dinner. They made for you omelets and pancakes and all fruits and fresh juices. What else you need? The staff is so kind, smiling, willing to make you comfortable, you become addicted in few days to people and the place.

We stayed at Kiwengwa Bungalow Boutique Resort with our family and two small children — and it was a fantastic experience. The atmosphere was peaceful and family-friendly, and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay. Everything was clean and well-maintained, and we truly felt at home. We have no complaints at all. The only minor downside was that the restaurant prices were a bit high compared to other places in the area, but the quality of service and setting made up for it. Highly recommended for families looking for a quiet and relaxing stay near the beach!

I can not rate this property highly enough. The layout was beautiful, the facilities and availability of activities was superb. The beach was gorgeous and the staff were outstanding- they genuinely could not do enough to help. A big thank you to Jana for organising our safari- it was truly a once in a lifetime experience. The trips offered by the property really do provide the best opportunity to make the most out of this stunning island. Thank you so much for making our trip so memorable.

Everything was just PERFECT! We traveled with our 2 years old so it was a great advantage to have the whole spacious bungalow for us (and not just some tiny hotel room). The pool is perfect for a family with such a little kiddo as it is divided to two parts - in one there is just a water lower than knees so great for a toddler. Domenico (the owner) is great as a person and also a great chef. He prepares whatever you need for you - for breakfast and also during the rest of the day. The beach is private and yes - you cannot really swim in the ocean in the eastern part of Zanzibar. No big deal for us - the accommodation is close to the beach in the calm area. Anyway, it is nice walk on the beach to see all the locals who try to sell you anything on this planet. :) We also walked to the other resorts, you can swim in theirs pools if you buy something (a drink or food). Also can use other resorts restaurants and services if wanted. If you are a family with a toddler or small kids, this is must have place to stay for you! :) Highly recommended!! PS: We also went to Kendwa to check the place and we decided to stay here in Kiwengwa. Kendwa is (from my personal view) for younger people who like to party. And it is also super super crowded! No relax vacation vibe or feeling. We believe that it is better to stay in Kiwengwa if you are a family with a little kid.

I had an amazing 3-night stay at this hotel in Zanzibar. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, the room was very clean and comfortable, and the atmosphere was just perfect. The restaurant was excellent, with delicious food every time. A special thank you to Ivana, the manager, who does an outstanding job to make sure everything runs so well. I truly enjoyed my time here and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Zanzibar

Too little space to say how good this place is. It is perfect. Great for kids. Staff are fantastic. Food excellent. Beach is clean and ideal with a Beach Bar for snacks and drinks. The Manager is truly excellent in his customer service and dealt with any little issue promptly and more than satisfactorily. Usually after 5 days somewhere I want to move on. Not from here. There can be nowhere better.

All was very good

The fact that they had their own secure beach entry without being directly on the beach front. the beach bar/restaurant was well stocked with good food and drinks. The Resort restaurant was really good as well.

Some of the vendors along the beach , mainly the "fake maasai" were a bit too intrusive with some of the young ladies tanning. A better watch/guard is probably needed to avoid some ( not all) clients to get annoyed.
