The customer service is excellent. I unfortunately made an error with my booking and hadn’t got a reservation. The reception team were so kind and went out of their way to assist and make me feel very welcome. The ocean view room is definitely worth the upgrade, as the views of the sunrise is stunning. You can swim in the sea, but need to have your shoulders and thighs covered. I had a swim T-shirt and shorts which were acceptable. Location is fantastic, overlooking the beach with many cafes and eateries close by. It is not possible to eat in during the daytime due to Ramadan, however I was able to have a take out and drink at the beach. The hotel room was beautifully presented and had air conditioning, fan, fridge and all the amenities you would hope for. If I ever have a stopover in Male, I would most definitely come back.

Staff was super friendly and helpful. Thanks to Sumit at the front desk and Ranjit & team up in the 7th floor breakfast & dining area. Selection was delicious with a view of the ocean in the morning. Dinner options really good too, try the kuhlimas Maldivian chili tuna dish for local flavor (Santano, thanks for this recommendation!) And depending on the weather, you can eat either in cooled air conditioning inside or outside in the tropical evening clime. Front desk team coordinated not only airport pick up/drop off service but also rides to the speedboat dock for side trips to and from the resort islands. Thanks so much for all the help with the logistics. The airport is less than 10 minutes away and the city of Male is approximately 20 minutes by taxi. After experiencing the congestion and traffic density of Male, do consider Hulhulmale as a more relaxed environment. There's a food store, Red Wave, just a few blocks away for finding basic provisions. Main shopping street just one block away for restaurants and food stands. (Be sure to eat at Ocean Grand, though, good menu and reasonable prices). Make this your home away from home when coming to Male & the Maldives.

I recently had the most incredible stay at this in the Male.The staff went above and beyond to make me feel at home, offering personalized service that made every moment unforgettable.The breakfast spread was absolutely divine!The room was an oasis of comfort and the breathtaking views from my private balcony were a dream come true. And despite the world-class experience, the price was surprisingly reasonable for such a high standard of service and location. I felt I received exceptional value for every dollar spent.

My friend and I stayed at the hotel Ocean Grand before and after joining a tour. We were very pleased with our visit. The staff is wonderful - professional, friendly, very helpful. They went out of their way to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. When we arrived we were greeted by super friendly staff. Everywhere is clean and smells nice. Room was big enough and bed very comfortable. Power from the shower was great. We ate at the rooftop restaurant and food was excellent and staff amazing. You can enjoy the ocean view while eating. The staff couldn’t do enough for us. The last day we had a late evening flight and we were able to get a late check out. The airport transfers made travel easy.

The staffs were amazing. They really took good care of us. I would specially mention Vineesh (Airport representative), he is a true asset to your hotel. Vineesh met us at the airport upon arrival and during departure from the hotel. He was with us all the way till we check in at the airport during departure and made sure we are comfortable. A big thank you for all the help you have given us. I highly recommend your hospitality skills to anyone needing any assistance at the Male Airport. Tanmay from the reception and Ranjith from your restaurant was also very courteous and helpful.

Waking up to the gentle lapping of the waves against my private deck and the endless expanse of cerulean blue was nothing short of magical. Each sunrise painted the sky with hues so vivid, it felt like nature's masterpiece crafted exclusively for me.Service at the Ocean Grand Hotel surpassed all expectations. A testament to this was an early morning surprise when, having to catch an early flight, I found the hotel staff had gone above and beyond to prepare a breakfast basket filled with delectable treats, fresh fruits, and warm pastries. Hotel is only about 15 min drive from the Velana airport, perfect if you need to stay the night before heading to a Maldives resort. They organised a private taxi from the airport and also back there early in the morning. Because we left for the airport before the breakfast was served we got our breakfast in paper bags which we could eat at the seaplane terminal. Big bonus was a separate gluten free selection of an omelette, a salad and fruits.
