Charming town, just off the motorway, easy route to Hamburg. Decent hotel.

Restaurant was not great (it was ok - three stars out of 5). Very heavy menu, practically all choices with heavy sauces/gravies - all on cream. Meat/fish choices either with sauce or breaded/fried. Everything on grease. Our stomachs gave up after two evenings and on the third we cancelled our reservation to eat somewhere else.

Very friendly people, located in a small quiet older village with all in a walkable distance. Nice oldstyle hotel. Spacy clean rooms and good breakfast. A warm recommendation for other to visit.

In general it was great, only few minor observations was the comfort of the bunkbeds which not super great, but okay. Everything served at the breakfast was delicious, did however mis bacon and sausages to the scrambled eggs and maybe a piece of sweet cake along with the coffee for for those who likes that in the morning.

The hotel is in a great location and the room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast selection was excellent.

We ate dinner at the restaurant and whilst the food was good the service was slow and it took forever to arrive. It took 15-20 mins to take our order and then over an hour until we were served our food.

Great hotel in a pleasant rural location with a pleasant little Pub associated with the hotel in the courtyard. Breakfast was included in my price and was a commendable offering served individually. Enjoyed a great evening meal in the restaurant and for a rural hotel I was well pleased with the 'range' of the meal offering. If ever I should be touring the area again I would not hesitate to include this in my itinerary.

Excellent location for our route, easy to find in the town of Egestorf, very nice room.

There was more noise from people dropping into this local waterhole than we've had at other places nearby, but hey it's in the centre of town, so not surprising.

Nice and clean room, beautiful surroundings, good restaurant, delicious dinner and breakfast! Friendly staff and overall calm and welcoming atmosphere, we felt like home! Thank you!

Location excellent for an overnight stay after a long drive. Food including breakfast was high standard

Very charming hotel, easy to find. Plenty of parking and pet friendly. I arrived late-ish, but they still rustled up a nice dinner for me and were very efficient.

Location, breakfast, staff, cleanliness was superb. Driving into Hamburg Hafen took 30 minutes. Great breakfast with lots of hot and cold dishes. Huge bathroom with waterfall shower, and sufficient water pressure. Great room for a family of two adults and two young kids, age 1 and 3.

The curtains in the room did not make the room very dark.

Very nice hotel, clean room and friendly staff, very good breakfast 👍

They forgot to prepare a sofa bed to sleep for our child.
