Talen Otel is immediately next to the Marmaray train station, with departures to Istanbul every 15 minutes, taking about 1 hour. The Deluxe Family room came with a refrigerator, cooking plates, kettle, cutlery, dishwasher, washing machine, aircondition, perfect for a longer term stay where you cook yourself. The room was clean and reasonably large, and bed large and comfortable. If this is what you are looking for, it is perfect, as the price was also relatively cheap. Travel to Sahiba Gocken airport still needs to be by taxi, as it's further on the map than it looks like. Breakfast is free and from 9AM, I did not try it. Also did not try the pool, but it was large.

We liked the flexibility to be able to cook in the apartment when we wanted or to eat out. The apartment was spacious with a single bed, t.v., and sofa in the lounge. The kitchenette had a sink, stovetop with two rings, a dishwasher and a fridge with small freezer compartment. The bedroom had a large bed (two beds together) with bedside lamps. The bathroom was en-suite with a washing machine, a toilet and a shower in the bath. There was always hot water.

There were no teaspoons, only basic pots and cutlery. There was only one stove top ring working and the other one flipped the switch turning all the electrics off so was obviously faulty. Odours from toilets would enter the bathroom from other apartments. Would have been better to have a full size fridge freezer than a dishwasher and have a draining board for pots to dry. There was no point having a washing machine if it wasn’t working. The bed was disappointing when saw it was two put together and so they never stayed together.

Our two room suite at the Talen Otel was dated, but very clean and very well appointed. The beds were especially comfortable and we both slept well. The location was perfect for us as we were flying out of Sabiha Gökçen airport the following afternoon - about 10km in a taxi (less than 10 GBP). The hotel doesn't provide breakfast but it's a very short walk to Monica's Kitchen on the promenade. They provide great food in a beautiful location right on the river. Great value for money and I would definitely recommend this hotel.

There wasn't much I didn't like - the furniture was dated, but that feels a little picky.

We enjoyed our stay here, it was just for a night after long flight. The workers speak english good, check-in went smoothly, and the room was big enough and cozy. They put bottles of water inside, also a coffee and tea, which is very nice. The room we got had a balcony. It is very close to the park and sea shore (5-10min walking distance), very nice area to take a walk. Metro station is 1 minute away and supermarkets and bakery are cca 15min far by foot. To reach the Sabiha Gökcen airport is pretty easy with yellow taxi, costed around 450-500 Turkish Lira (10-15minutes of drive).

Huge apartment with all facilities like washing machine and fully equipped kitchen. Despite of the first impression the hotel is not so bad. It’s quiet enough in the night. It’s located close to the railway line but it’s isolated by the high fence and there is no any noise from trains.

The hotel is outdated. The furniture needs to be renovated. The facilities are not fresh as well. It was dusty a little, probably because of the air conditioning system hadn’t worked for a long time.

The hotel fulfils all my needs and I particularly praise the staff for their willing and flexible assistance.

The pool is often not filled and usable and the cafe over the road doesn't function fully .

Very big rooms, nice bed. Pretty short walk to the beach. There is also a nice balcony. The place is not noisy at all. No tobacco smoke problems. There is a small but functional kitchen in the room. The staff was nice and pleasant.

There was no plug in the bathtub. Some of the furniture has seen better days. The glass top table is a real danger if you are traveling with kids - the glass is not attached at all and can get destroyed.

Big room and bathroom for just myself as well as terace. Very close to city train line, so it is easy to access the fastes way to travel inside of Instanbul. Close to see side walking area and there is nature.

There was no breakfast, so I neede to travel or walk not so short distances to eat something in the morning. The working day in Instanbul starts quite late for my needs. Almost no body is speaking English there. The people working on reception know some basic English but that is not enough, just the last guy was better - usefull.

The staff is very helpful and kind. The rooms are spacious and confortable. The location from Sabiha airport is very convenient and very calm. The situation is perfect because is just next to the Kaynarca train station that will allow you to travel and stop wherever you want in the most interesting areas of Istanbul, since the train cross the city west to east, therefore is an option if you need to find something out of the most congested areas. Good relation price and quality.

The staff are exceptionally helpful and accommodating.

Senior management needs to have a sharper eye on repair work. For instance, the shower head holder was not secured properly to the wall, and the bathtub (which was a nice surprise) did not have a working drain plug. The latter may be intentional (to prevent it being used as a bath), but the former is weak oversight of maintenance.
