The fact it was an all inclusive

The evening staff in the buffet area that was serving the tables were extremely rude and they have no manners. One Server took a very long time to get you something to drink. In the end, I ended up Finishing my meal And had to go back to the room to get something to drink. After Asking for something to drink more than twice.

Nice property and friendly staff. The beach located on the property was amazing: clean and beautiful blue water. Check-in and check-out was nice. Plenty of bars and never had to wait long for a drink. The Jerk Hut on the property was really good for an all-inclusive.

I was not a fan of the food options that came with the all inclusive. We didn’t get a chance to eat at one of the restaurants that requires reservations but the buffet and room service were lackluster. My party and I loaded up on the Jerk Hut when it was open during the day because we didn’t enjoy the food elsewhere.

I loved the staff,they were very accommodating and friendly.I loved the nightly entertainment,the cleanliness and the food was fresh.

The spraying of pesticide while patrons were on the property as opposed to late at night or early morning.Also,probably due to the quick turnover of food,some of the entrees were a little greasy for my liking.

restaurant was conveniently close to the rooms. variety of options. excellent menu. nightly entertainment was refreshing. It rained but that didn't spoil all the fun. Would definitely return.

Love the wonderful food, and entertainment. We had to change rooms bcz it was a long walk from our room. So the desk woman kimmy made it possible for us to get a closer room. Appreciate her very friendly and welcoming

My number 1 problem which is both the riu is waiters, and waitress, bartenders treat African Americans the worse. Ex. When we are at the dining room table we either have to a ask the waiter can we get something to drink. When a white person gets a table the waiters break their neck to get thier orders. Even at the bar. No hi it's likes we are bothering them. They assume we won't tip them. I chock them by giving them a tip. I do bcz when the next black person comes to them they will treat everyone equal.

Everything was fine, and it meets our expectations. I would go there again.

I loved the availability of the food and drinks. Also the beach was so close.

We arrived three days after the hurricane Beryl hit the island aside from a few downed branches you couldn’t tell. I was told later on by staff that they worked tirelessly to get the place looking as nice as it did. We appreciate this so much. I loved how it was located on such a beautiful beach in Bloody Bay and it was always so clean and tranquil, the buildings were very clean and kept up. The overall resort was just beautiful, comfortable and exactly what we needed for our family vacation.

Through no fault of the resort again due to the hurricane our first two days there was without air conditioning, but that was remedied shortly again we understood the reason. I do feel that they could do more about the mosquitoes. They sprayed only one time the whole week we were there.

front desk should do better job at explaining daily itinerary or resort should have literature or marquis of daily activities,buffet waitresses catered to Caucasian guests for tips, front desk staff not friendly, too many locals on beach selling stuff was a nuisance and uncomfortable shuttle should be included to travel between Riu palace and Riu club resorts better food variety and food temperature bed extremely uncomfortable too hard(firm) like sleeping on floor and pillows too flat

Hotel was great, nice rooms, great shower/bathroom, good aircon, good working frig that actually got drinks cold. Food and drinks were good also (good drinks are usually problematic in Jamaica). Hotel seems to be well run - was impressed with management efficiency - refreshing. I've stayed at RIU's multiple times (regular and Palaces) and in multiple locations including both Negril locations and this one was the best by far. The food selection was not as lavish as past years (sadly, no big seafood displays) but what was there was good. Mosquito control seems to have improved - none in room and no bites outside (Santa Fe/Cabo should contact you). Evening entertainment improved and partially outsourced to local bands etc. - good for guests, staff and community - hope this continues and quality keeps getting better. Covid test process was quick, smooth and efficient. I have an old phone and couldn't connect to hotel's WIFI. Ladies at the front desk fixed that up - no problem. As back-up, I requested the onsite test center print the results for me - also no problem.

Definitely did not like the lobby bar/latte bar being sealed off in a glass enclosed room. The glass should be removed so that the lobby bar is and feels like it is actually in the lobby. Never went there once, whereas, in other locations, the lobby bar was usually a before dinner and after show/late night gathering spot Since this is my review I am adding a comment that I am sure will annoy most readers but since this is my review I am stating my opinion regarding the buffet. I firmly believe that RIU should require all guests to wear a mask when getting food from the buffet. All those people breathing all over the food that others have to eat - nope, not a fan at all - Covid is not gone, even if people want to act like it is.

All the staff I encountered were friendly, efficient, and pleasant. Beverly on the front desk was a star! I love how clean the entire property was. The view and location of my room was perfect. I had a corner oceanfront room in building 4. The hotel and room were as amazing as the pictures.

I absolutely did not like the food in the buffet area. Period. It was the worst part of my stay. Didn't matter what time of day it was... the food was just not up to par for me or anyone in our group. I think the hotel needs to put some real Jamaicans in the kitchen. Let them cook and SEASON the food. We did get some good eats nearby at the Sweet Spice restaurant and various street vendors. **Also in fairness, we did not try the specialty restaurants.
