the lodge is well located for a visit to Sosusvlei. A short half-hour drive takes you to the entrance of Sesriem (Sosusvlei) You can have breakfast there from 6am or bring a breakfast box (then another 60km to parking and then a decent 5km 4X4 - best done by NWR drivers present) Both breakfast and dinner are of good quality and very ample. A very nice bar and wonderful room for dinner. good air conditioning accessible with 2X4 a much better alternative than sosusvlei lodge

the swimming pool is definitely not equipped for a large capacity. Only 20 sunbeds for an incredibly large lodge. no wifi in the room

Absolutely everything! We are on a 3 week road trip through Namibia and so far this was our favourite accommodation. The setting is beyond spectacular, the rooms fantastic with a great view of the surrounding dunes. I can go on and on.......and on!

Dinner was a little disappointing. The pre-starters and starters were very small portions, although beautifully presented and very tasty, but the meat in the main course was a bit tough on at least one of our plates on both nights. It would also be nice to have a choice of deserts. The vanilla desert was a bit dry and could have done with a scoop of ice-cream.

Wow! Where to start. Beautiful location - one of the best in the area in my opinion in terms of nature and surroundings. Staff is super friendly and responsive. They even gave our daughter the best birthday song ever on the last evening of our stay. Rooms are large and bed (king) is very comfortable. Pool area is super nice, especially since it’s set within the courtyard of the second building (next to the building hosting the reception).

Nothing. However, if I could come with one recommendation: Water in the swimming pool was cold, so they might want to consider installing a water heater system so that guests can enjoy comfortable water temperatures in the pool year round. They do have a jacuzzi though if you need somewhere to get the warmth back after a refreshing swim.

Beautiful spacey rooms. We had a room in the upper floor in the main building and the views were amazing. We tried the massage at the spa and it was amazing . We also tried the quad bike ride at sunset and it was a great experience . The design of the hotel may seem a bit strange, considering that it is a Moroccan inspired building in the middle of Namibia, but it works . The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food was very good, only they could do better with the coffee they serve (they only had American style coffee, no real expresso). The hotel is only 22km from the Sossusvlei reserve.

The rooms did not have wifi, which can be ok to switch off, but the wifi did nit work very well in the reception area either. When we showered in the evenings , there was a shortage of hot water

We loved the staff! Flemming, Ransey, Keenan, Shelly, Dianne, Toshlin, and all the staff in dining and the bar were amazing. We felt so at home. The room was so spacious and comfortable. The activities were wonderful. Star gazing stuff of dreams.

The rooms are wonderful, but I’ve always wondered if anyone truly enjoys the open concept bathrooms in hotel room. We were friends so it wasn’t great- but aside from that everything was wonderful and we couldn’t recommend it more. Hotel could restock toiletries and coffee after a few days- only suggestion. We were there three nights and never got coffee/tea restock or soap. Minor and not a problem.

What a unique experience to be able to stay in luxury in the middle of a desert with animals at the waterhole for company and attentive staff such as Dezeree (sorry if I spelt your name wrong…. But the page I wrote it on blew away into the desert!!! true story 😊) and of course Nelson……excellent customer service with a smile. Our room was spacious, even with room for a child’s bed! But lighting for finding your way to the bathroom in the middle of the night could be improved as could instructions for the safe….both minor issues. The food was delicious, and wines were reasonably priced, both amazing, considering the remote location. The finishing touch on our last night was the sound of the animals outside, that we could hear, but were not quite able to see, munching on the food left out for them by the staff….a lasting memory. Thinking about staying @ Le Mirage….just book it….you will have a wonderful unique experience!

The provided wifi in the reception area and beside the pool was excellent, but for those of us addicted….it was an inconvenience not to access as required in our lovely room.

We had an absolutely amazing stay! The castle has a magical vibe that you just don’t find anywhere else. The food was honestly fantastic and the variety was great. Every meal was beautifully presented and delicious. The staff was wonderful, attentive and kind. And the location couldn’t be better. Being so close to the desert made the whole experience even more unique. The peace, views, and starry night skies were absolutely breathtaking. I highly recommend sleeping under the stars, it's an unforgettable experience !

Staying at Le Mirage was truly magical. We visited to celebrate my daughter's 15th birthday, and it couldn't have been more perfect. She wanted to experience quad biking and Le Mirage delivered, we even enjoyed an unforgettable sundowner dune ride. The rooms were spacious and beautiful appointed, the food was a set menu and amazing and the staff went above and beyond. They surprised my daughter with a freshly baked cake and all came together to sing for her birthday. It was such a special and memorable moment.

All was great.

The location was perfect for exploring the dunes, the hotel itself is beautiful and relaxing, the excursions offered are great, the food is excellent and the service and friendliness of the staff exceeded our expectations. It was a great experience and incredible value for money.

The wifi really only worked in the hotel lobby and we didn't get esims at the airport (which you should do if you plan to travel solo around the country). It was actually nice for us because it forced us to unplug, but just something to keep in mind.

Facility is great , room is comfortable and clean. It includes breakfast and dinner and the atmosphere is great

No bathroom door for shower and toilet. My father and his friend stayed at the same room and there’s no door for the shower and toilet made them super uncomfortable. Even the design won’t show when they use the bathroom but they still don’t have privacy when they use it. Location is not optimal , 20 mins drive to the gate, not convenient if you want to go see the sunrise
