The Torenhoeve is a great place away from the busy city in the middle of what some call "One of the most beautiful nature area's of the Netherlands". The light tower "Westerlicht" is one of the main attractions, the hotel grounds gives a great view of the tower. Furthermore there is opportunity for hiking and the forest and dunes. The beach is a 5 - 10 minute walk away from the Hotel

I don't have any complaints. The stay matched my expectations. Of course you're staying at a former farm that has been rebuilt to a hotel, take this into account. If you're looking for the newest facilities this is not for you

Excellent location with the beach being only a short distance away. Nearest main shopping only about 5 minutes away by car (supermarket etc). Room was reasonable size and plenty big enough for a base for us to sleep in or chill. Lounge available with tables and chairs if required. The breakfast was good with plenty available (no hot option except boiled eggs)

All very pleasant, but I am not sure what we got for the extra 15 Euros per night per dog we had to pay (2 dogs adding an extra 90 Euros to the cost of the stay). We put down a bed for the dogs to sleep on and whilst they did leave a bit of sand (they both loved going to the beach and in the sea) and hair on the carpet, I'm not sure it took 90 Euros worth of extra effort or time to clean up after them.

The Hotel de Torenhoeve is beautifully located. You are crossing the dunes and enter the beach after a short walk. The hotel staff was incredible helpful and kind. We were lucky to get the last available room! It was fully booked. The breakfast is a nice small international breakfast with coffee specialities. They have a lovely outdoor terrace for eating breakfast and dinner.

Our room was on the top floor and a bit warm. There was no AC but a ventilator. The parking slots are a bit few so it was hard but manageable to get a spot. The breakfast only offered sweet vegan options (Marmelade, peanut butter).
