The location was excellent, right in the centre of the town. The breakfasts were excellent too; they were served at the table in your dedicated one-hour slot. The room was fairly comfortable but a bit on the small side down stairs. The bedroom was upstairs, accessed by very steep and narrow stairs. Nice coffee machine in the room. Wifi worked well. We were there in a cold April so there was no need to try the air-conditioning.

The living are was a little crowded and the shower open directly into the living area, offering no privacy, if you needed it. Similarly, the wash hand basin was in the open living area rather than with a shower and toilet in a separate bathroom. These were little things, overall the hotel was very good.

Good hotel, located on edge of both the shopping centre and the old historic town, but still a quiet location at night. Very large and comfortable room overlooking the hotel garden. Friendly, helpful staff.

Breakfast was good, but the arrangement was odd, based on timed slots, with a selection of foods brought to the table, much of which I did not want. Only choice was in type of eggs and in drinks (this also limited to 2 cups)

Beautiful hotel. Excellently designed modernisation of the very old building. The room was delightfully equipped with excellent lighting. Delicious breakfast.

Room on second floor with very steep stairs. There was a draft through the window behind the bed. You can park outside the front door easily in street paid parking bays. The hotel garage is some distance away. Also the restaurant was closed so the hotel was lacking in any atmosphere. I’m fed up of asking for a dinner reservation when booking and arriving at the hotel and finding the restaurant is closed. Fortunately the receptionist directed us to a fabulous fish restaurant close by which I would go to again if we stayed at the hotel in future.

Very comfortable bed and quiet at this time of year as no-one was on the terrace in the evening. Very well appointed bathroom with superb bath. Excellent coffee.

A lovely breakfast became very predictable after 5 days. A bit of variety in the cooked content would be good. A heated towel rail in the bathroom would be useful and would also help with reducing the need for towel changes (no-one likes wet towels!). The lighting in the bedroom was rather gloomy.

A really cozy and intimate hotel. We were well looked after and right from the start of my dealings with the hotel staff I sensed a positive attitude that ensured for a stress-free stay. The hotel staff were really efficient and friendly, As we were working up until old-year's eve, I left plans to go away till the last moment. I searched for something interesting and found the last available rooms to spend old-year's eve. Our experience surpassed our expectations.

Good location within the town. The breakfast was very good being served at the table making a change from the usal buffet style. Room very comfortable and with everything you needed. Good they had designated area at the front of the hotel for loading and unloading the car.

As in all the old towns parking your own car is a problem. Had a walk to and from the hotel although very good they had a designated area to be able to load and unload the car.

We liked the Roosevelt for the historic building, central location and the artsy interiors and decoration. Breakfast was served (in contrast to the usual buffet style) with a very good selection of different choices. The location is as central as could be in the historic city center and parking is available just in front of the hotel (although you might want to find a different spot for longer stays given there is a meter). We will definitely consider the Roosevelt when we come back to lovely Middelburg.

Nothing really to complain about.

excellent breakfast - just top! fresh, rich, natural and healthy.... just what was needed to get the day going the right way. Scrambled eggs and croissants excellent!

no safe in the apartment.... and the shower needs some type of a closure, either a nice curtain, or a partial glass panel... it was not fun having to be always careful on how to shower so as not to water the entire bathroom, and then squeeging the floor all the time...

Great location in the heart of Middelburg. The flat was well furnished, big and with a nice terrace. Excellent breakfast served at the table. Helpful staff.

The flat was on the second floor with a very steep staircase. It is not suitable for elderly people or someone with reduced mobility. It is under the attic and is rather hot in summer.

The room was very clean, breakfast was outstanding, and staff so friendly!

I found it strange that on each of the four nights I was at the hotel I had to request a cup from staff so I could make coffee in my room. Coffee maker and pods were provided.
