The hotel is at a stone's throw from the train station. The staff was very friendly and made my stay even more memorable by surprising me with a very yummy cupcake as a birthday present. I felt immediately at home at the apartment. The mattress and the pillows were great, and the kitchen had all facilities for preparing simple meals. There were complimentary slippers and ear plugs. The latter came in very handy because my appartment was at street level.

There were some hairs in one of the drawers in the bathroom (but the rest of the appartment was very clean).

Our ground floor room was attractive, comfortable and very well equipped, making it easy to make some of our own meals rather than eating out all the time. There were some nice touches in the room such as games and books, and there were lots of information leaflets about local attractions. We made use of the on-site laundrette and the courtyard garden. The location was great - easy to find, a very short walk into the town centre, and very handy for the Spar shop and cycle hire at the station. Lots of places to eat in town - the bakeries are great for coffee and pastries. Our hosts were friendly and welcoming and full of helpful information. We could easily have stayed longer. Parking wasn't too difficult - we paid for an hour's parking just round the corner to load and unload our bags, and then left the car in the multi-storey car park about 200 metres away the rest of the time. We could easily have stayed longer.

Paying for parking! - but that isn't the fault of the apartments.

The person at the reception was very friendly and patient. We felt right at home. The apartment was clean, beautiful and spacious enough for us to move around. My mother, who is of age, could just enter, without climbing any stairs. The location was perfect. Everything was at a walking distance.

The only downside was that the room was at street level, and sometimes people would pass by our bedroom window at night and talk loudly. It wasn't a problem, but I can imagine that during the Summer months, it would be a lot noisier

We had a comfortable stay and enjoyed a good rest. The hosts were very professional and helpful throughout. The standout feature of this hotel is its excellent location, just right opposite the train station, which made our travel very convenient. The rates are quite reasonable, even slightly cheaper or on par with some Airbnb options in Middelburg. Overall a great value for the price.

I knew immediately the ApartHotel Waepen van Middelburg was going to be the perfect location for our visit - my 8th time to Middelburg, but have previously been staying with family. Travelling by train, this accommodation is walking distance from the station, but actually it is walking distance to everything in this beautiful city! And this is just what we did, four days long! Our apartment was super clean and spacious, beautiful yet trendy interior (just like on the pictures!) lacking nothing! We felt and slept like a king & queen! Keep up the good work, Rene & Jacqueline and team, we hope to be back some day!

Very cosy apartment, nicely decorated, fully equipped, with a spacious bathroom, well located, and with a delicious garden! But what really stands out are the hosts and management team. Jacqueline and René are very nice, hospitable, and helpful. Don´t miss their advice and suggestions, as they may make your stay in Middelburg much more interesting and enjoyable! We are very grateful and convinced that we will return to ApartHotel Waepen van Middelburg in the near future for a pleasant, and hopefully longer, stay.

I like the concept where you don't need to pass reception every day, there is another one entrance to rooms only. Hotel was quite and clean. Room in general is very nice.

When I came to room air freshness wasn't the best. For that amount of money what I paid for three nights I would expect to have freshly ventilated room. I wasn't happy with wi-fi speed as well.

Beautiful, large room with multiple gorgeous windows, a nice seating area, a nice modern kitchenette, nice bathroom, and a stylish, comfortable bed. It was in a great location. Staff were really friendly.

A bit of street noise, but we slept well and could have used the provided earplugs. Laundry was available but it took a few tries to find it empty, since it was shared.

I loved the little apartment off the terrance with easy access to the bike shed. Staff helped me with bike rental suggestion and an option that enhanced my visit to the Sloedam Causeway memorial. Thank you for pointing me in the direction of a route to the beautiful architecture in the city - I will come back to Middelburg and know to stay longer next time.

Very friendly welcome with nice recommendations of what to do in Middelburg. Location close to the train station and nearby shops and restaurants. Neat, spacious apartment with everything we needed for a weekend away in a new corner of the Netherlands.
