Staying at Villa Rosa in Santa Maria De Castellabate was the highlight of my solo Italian trip in May. I had spent a few weeks exploring key highlights across Italy and this was a perfect way to wind down in the beautiful Cilento coast. I feel Cilento is underrated with its emerald, pristine beaches (mindblowing!). Every single day at Villa Rosa was memorable. I am thankful to Jamile who helped me book a taxi to&fro from Agropoli, she took care that I was taken well care of, gave me a few tips to explore nearby San Marco, Castellebate town up the hill (a must-see). She helped me rent a scooter from a local company and I loved every single day of exploring small coastal towns nearby-- a great break from the touristic, crowded Amalfi places. Villa Rosa residence has such beautiful rooms, I had booked the one with the terrace so I could relax enjoying the pool view with a cuppa. The room had everything- a stove, a mini-kitchen where I enjoyed making my breakfasts before I began my day. I even took a few swims and enjoyed the pool at Villa Rosa. The villa is centrally-located right across the sea, so beautiful views as you step out; the town is charming & historic. An unbelievably "tranquillo" experience of Cilento- definitely recommended!

Loved it, nothing not to like.

Perfect location in centre of town, nice and quiet road with the lovely sound of the birds and the sea. The property is beautiful with an old character yet the rooms are modern and very comfortable. We loved having a large terrace which faced onto the hill of Castellabate but maybe we’ll think of getting a sea view next time. We really liked having some kitchen facilities with some treats left for us too! The bed was big, firm and comfortable and the aircon was nice and quiet. The host Jamile was very responsive over to text and even offered to book some restaurant reservations. Her husband Vincent was on site and so friendly and helpful too.

Some things we forgot to mention to the owner: The fridge was a bit noisy sometimes at night. We should have asked for flatter pillows as the ones we had were very firm and deep in size (but we only remembered when we would go to bed!)

The Villa is in a lovely spot right on the sea front. The modern room was very clean, and had views of the sea and a private terrace. There was a small kitchen area so we could make own breakfast and drinks. The garden is pretty and the hosts are lovely, very friendly and helpful.

It is difficult to find anything that could be improved as we really enjoyed our stay. It might have been helpful to have a small table inside the apartment to have the option of eating indoors, rather than just a table on the terrace.

The accommodation was absolutely perfect – the location couldn’t have been better, with both the city and the beach just a short walk away. The pool was a fantastic bonus and made the stay even more enjoyable. A special highlight was Jamile, who was incredibly friendly and always ready to help with even the smallest things. Highly recommended!

Where to start? An absolutely lovely villa with nicely new renovated rooms, wonderful garden with a beautiful pool area and lastly a perfect location on the beach walk. The hosts are very friendly and accommodating. A small plus is also that they filled up with snacks and coffee pods every day.

Somewhat pricy. But, you get a very nice accommodation as well so not really anything to complain about.

Very well situated on the seafront within walking distance of shops and restaurants. Jimele and all the staff made us feel very welcome and were very helpful re local tourism. Villa Rosa is very clean and we loved our room with sun terrace. The kitchenette meant we could self-cater occasionally but equally the local restaurants are amazing. We will definitely return.

We absolutely loved everything about Villa Rossa — from the warm welcome and great recommendations from the owners, to the beautiful pool (which is even bigger and better in real life!). Our room was spotless and cleaned daily, which made the stay feel extra comfortable. I couldn’t recommend this place more and will definitely be back!

Nothing we didn’t like, we loved it all. Although we aren’t happy that people are going to find out about this town and it will become over populated with tourists.

Jamile and her team went above and beyond to make our stay amazing. I stayed there for two nights, it was for my wedding, the night before the wedding with my bridesmaids and then the night of the wedding with my husband. They had decorated the room with roses and fruits and a beautiful welcome sign that was just wonderful. They had also decorated the front gate of this stunning hotel with a big bow and flowers so that it would make a beautiful backdrop for photos for our wedding photographer on the day of the wedding. So happy and we loved staying there!

Our stay at Villa Rossa was incredible. Such wonderful, accommodating hosts, breathtaking views and absolute comfort. Santa Maria di Castellabate is one of our new favourite towns, and Villa Rossa is perfectly located.
