First proper welcome by staff during his trip. The location is superb, restful and beautiful scenery. The staff were attentive, professional and interesting. Callum couldn’t do enough to ensure our stay was exceptional. The restaurant was a delightful place to spend an evening. The food was probably the best we have had during this trip. Prepared with thought and balance. We loved the room, comfortable with a magnificent view. A lovely memory to almost end our NC500 tour.
Callum forgot to remind me to have a whiskey. I don’t drink it but felt I should; but didn’t anyway as it happens.

We were the first guest of the season and as a little reward they upgraded us to their top room. A word of advice fight over it. This room is superb. The staff were also superb. Couldn’t have made us more welcome and attended to our every wish. Everything about the place was top drawer, the furnishings, the comfortable bed, duvet, toiletries in the bathroom, even the floor coverings, and the cozy open fire in the lounge. Despite all of that, we think it’s a staff that will remember most. 10 out of 10.

It’s wonderful how they have kept the cottages and renovated with all the modern day amenities. We stayed at the cottage down by the river. With the windows closed you could not hear the river (so you can sleep). It felt like going back in time and being in nature. The large house is very charming, fishing tackle and rods everywhere as decor. The bar and dining rooms are so cosy and comfortable. It’s a beautiful property. The dinner was very good, as was breakfast in the sun room.
When booking, it’s best there is a better description of what one is booking. Ie cottage has step access, it’s xx meters from the main building, etc just a little more detail.

It was very comfortable and cosy with a lovely fireplace and friendly staff. The food was good and we slept very well. All the staff were very attentive and friendly - we got some great tips to help us on our trip! The location was great especially if you’re doing NC500 or looking for a base from NW coast to explore from. Lovely views from property.
Nothing really! It was a bit dated and doesn’t have much curb appeal but everything else made up for this so don’t be put off by the exterior!

Everything! From arriving to a warm welcome, discovering our room had a lovely view of the harbour to the fabulous food and presentation of dinner and breakfast, our stay was exceptional. The staff are so friendly and helpful and the hotel itself is tastefully decorated in a lovely setting. Our stay at Inver Lodge was one of the high points on our NC 500 trip.

Staff were amazing Michael was brilliant. He was the perfect Host and an asset to the company. I was made to feel welcome as.soon as I stepped inside the door the food was.at another venue down the.road and the menu service and.staff were great. Definitely will return and area is so scenic peaceful and romantic for couples. A hidden gem in a land of ancient history and a beautiful shoreline.
Loud talking Germans that's a joke we had a blast.

Situated on top of a hill overlooking the harbour and sea from a perfect distance. Lovely staff and restaurant. Restaurant had a lovely view. Lots of nice toiletries in the bathroom if you havent brought any, and a wide range of teas in the room. All finished to a high standard and very clean. A premium feeling stay. A short distance from achmelvich beach/bay (highly recommended)
If you are not a big eater in the morning, the breakfast may seem a tad expensive (we didn't have it included - likely an oversight on our part booking in a rush). But I'd say this is an extremely minor point considering the quality of the hotel, restaurant, and staff.

After a long day of driving we were thrilled to be upgraded to a suite as soon as we arrived. Our room was huge with beautiful views. We ate at the hotel for dinner, the food was fresh and delicious - can’t really beat fresh lobster and chips overlooking beautiful scenery with lovely wine. The staff were a pleasure to speak to - very attentive, welcoming, cheery and helpful! This was our favourite stop on the NC500 and we will definitely be returning and recommending this hidden spot to family and friends. We only wished we had booked to stay for two nights!
Honestly we were very happy with our stay. If I had to provide some critic the property is a little dated from the outside but inside it’s very traditional and grand which more than made up for this.

Great place for a one night stopover on the NC500. Typical US style hotel room, decent size, good bed, great bathroom, nice view. But it’s not charming or special in any way. Need a car, it’s not talking distance to town. Would stay again as there is very few decent lodgings in the area. Lochinver is a perfect stop over. Had the best Langoustines at Peet’s and did the seal boat trip. Picked up dinner for the next night at a AirB&B from Lochinver larder. Close to Achmelvich beach a must see.
I forgot to read the fine print and did not realize that breakfast was not included. The staff implied it was. So I ended up paying for a breakfast that was awful. Don’t eat here.

The restaurant service was superb.
There was very little atmosphere in the hotel. I don’t know if this was because they were not fully occupied or whatever. The main problem we encountered was a terrible bath which frankly was dangerous. It was almost impossible to get out of the bath due to a very slippery base and no hand rail support. In fact my partner fell back into the bath hurting her shoulder. All baths at the hotel of this type need stripping out urgently and replacing either with a different type or a walk in shower.
