The Arch Inn is in a great location in Ullapool, very convenient also for the ferry which is only minutes away. Reception is through the pub downstairs, where staff are very busy. The room was small but clean and the bed very comfortable. The onsite restaurant (which is run as a separate business) is very good and definitely recommended for an evening meal.

The continental breakfast was extremely limited in terms of options, and served only between 08AM and 09AM. Our bedroom was on the same floor as the restaurant, which meant some noise in the evening. The place seems to run on very limited staff who seem overstretched.

Great location on harbour front with stunning view over the loch and ideally placed just 150 yards from ferry terminal. The room was very clean and comfortable with friendly staff. Good cosy friendly bar which had live music on the night of my stay.

The only negative is the very limited available parking in front of hotel. The road that runs in front of hotel has double yellow lines on both sides, and with only 5 marked parking bays allotted to the hotel across from reception ( which were all taken when I arrived) I had to park a few streets away behind the hotel.

Loved the location, right on the loch front. Very clean, with simple but stylish modern decor. Lots of plug sockets!

The single room I had was very small. There was little left of breakfast at 08.45- no croissants or pastries left at all. A Small but important thing- the noise from the restaurant of the staff cleaning up (in the morning with loud music) or relaxing together after it closed (evening) travels along the corridor, & is quite loud for the rooms that are on the 1st floor. Twice I crept out in my pyjamas to shut the restaurant door after closing time.

Friendly welcome and I was shown to my room which was spotlessly clean with a very comfortable bed, and a wonderful view across Loch Broom. Good shower too. The continental breakfast offered a wide selection of food & drinks.

I had asked for a quiet room...which it was until the band in the bar struck up at about 9.15 that evening. Although it wasn't that late, I had been on the road since 5.30 that morning and I wanted an early night, but the bass from the band made sure that wasn't going to happen!

The room was very clean and the location of the inn is perfect just opposite the sea side. Being Friday night there was some live music - the staff said it will stop before midnight, it did indeed so we could have a proper rest.

The breakfast wasn’t the greatest, could do with more options, at least some scrambled eggs or something warm.

Hotel is in an excellent location, rooms were very comfortable and clean. Staff were friendly.

Not a dislike only an observation. We were aware the hotel restaurant was not available for dinner however we were not made aware on check in of any alternative eating places within the town and when we had freshened up and were heading out to eat we asked at reception where we could get a meal and they advised that everywhere closed at 7.00pm which was unfortunate. Maybe an idea for the reception staff to make guests aware of this on check in to avoid hungry guests when the restaurant is unavailable.

We stayed at the Arch Inn for 2 nights in a sea view room, - outstanding view. Both nights we ate at the "in House restaurant" where we enjoyed fabulous meals both nights. The staff were excellent, both in the Inn and in the Restaurant, which are separate businesses. Absolutely recommend staying at the Arch Inn and experiencing the delights of the restaurant "just down the corridor" .....pre-booking is suggested during busy periods.

The breakfast provided as part of the accommodation was adequate, but not outstanding. Breakfast options were not topped up as more guests came in, so it was slim pickings by 8.30am ( breakfast available 8-9am)

The Arch Inn is very well situated on the main road adjacent to the Loch. Our room was large, clean and comfortable, It was easily accessible from the bar area and well equipped. The breakfast (included) is served in very pleasant surroundings, facing over the Loch. The staff are friendly and efficient. This accommodation is very good value for money and I would have no hesitation in recommending it for a stay in Ullapool.

There really isn't anything not to like.

Great location and looked out towards Loch Broom. Room was very well presented and loved the sea kelp hand wash. Nice strong flow from the shower which was refreshing.

As has been said a lot in other reviews, the breakfast is underwhelming and is a basic continental offering. I guess it can be difficult to hire kitchen staff in the area and they are trying their best to make up for that, however I cant recall any mention that there were no options for bar meals. I enjoyed the hotel and would have been a real favourite if there were bar meal options, and I would have ended up a few beers worse for wear!

Location was great with a nice view over the harbour. The continental breakfast was really nice with plenty of choice and good service. It was as advised and suited our trip. The room itself, en-suite and shower cubicle were quite small but very clean and quite adequate. Bed and bedding very comfortable. The highlight was eating dinner in the restaurant on the floor below our room which was exceptional. Would definitely eat there again!

Small shower cubicle but manageable and very clean
