Waterloo House is probably the best place that we have stayed in when in Scotland. There is lots of room and all 3 bedrooms have excellent en suites. The view from the living room is amazing. Who doesn't like to see a deer on the top of a rock with lochinver harbour in the background. I almost dont want to say how good it is as I dont want anyone booking the times we wish to go back.

There was nothing wrong with the place at all.

Absolutely loved the lay out of the house with spectacular views, very clean and the house had everything you could think of to accommodate your stay. We seen many wild life with deer coming right up to the window on our arrival. The hot tub was extra relaxing with the beautiful views during the day and stunning lit up sky at night with clear views of the stars. Bed was extra comfortable. As was the couch. Also an amazing coffee machine on hand that serves the best coffee! Beautiful little vacation and we would love to return.

The upstairs balcony seemed a bit unsafe to stand on aswell as the summer house decking which made me feel uneasy so I avoided these areas but besides that everything else was perfect

Another perfect 10 for this place. Hopefully it will be free next time I am planning to visit. ;-) I booked the house because of its view, the fireplace, the hot tub (with a view) and because the price was within my range. But what I got was much more than that. I instantly felt at home, even though I traveled alone, I never felt unsafe. Easy check-in, hot tub was already on a nice temperature. and the VIEW: my phone is full of pictures with changing light and every 5 minutes my favorite motive - Suilvan - seemed to look different. There were 3 bedrooms, I took the one facing to Suilven and in the morning, with open curtains, you feel like he watches you over. Kitchen is perfectly equipped to cook everything you like. Welcome pack with sweets and marmalade as well as breakfast tea, which I enjoyed next to the fireplace snuggled in the chair and enjoying the view, sometimes even deer coming up to the house. Everyday I struggled getting out of the house, because it was so cosy but the weather was that good that I needed to get out and explored the surroundings. Because of off-season I did not meet one hiker on the way to Achmelvich, but this was high season for me. I strongly recommend getting there in autumn, because of the colours. When you travel from Edinburgh airport directly to Waterloo House you would need 5 hours (according to google maps), but with all the nice views it took me 8 to get to Lochinver, and 7 to go back (almost same route). But it is all worth it! Surely coming back.

I needed to get used to the quietness, and I did! That's not really a bad thing.

My boyfriend and I came for a couple of days and we were absulteky stunned at how beautiful the property was. The views from the big open livingroom window were outstanding. The hut tub at night time on a clear night you could just sit, relax and watch the stars!! We took a short drive to Achmelvich beach and wow what a place. Cold but it looked like we were in the Maldives lol! We were also lucky enough to see some deer from the window! My wee dog Leo love it also. Thanks so much for having us.

A fantastic getaway in a fantastic location with awe-inspiring views of the mountains and harbour. The proprietor has thought of everything when it comes to this accommodation from the fully equipped kitchen to the dressing gowns to the hot tub it was all superb. The accommodation was very clean and easy to unwind in. Will hopefully stay here again soon

Lovely view of the mountains in which Suilven was the main star and I would never tire looking at it! Waterloo house was very comfortable, clean and had everything that you needed. Staff friendly and get back to you promptly when needed.

Amazing property, spotless, lovely surroundings. Facilities were fab, had absolutely everything you needed. Comfortable beds, showers' great, always toasty. Log burner was a nice touch. Owner very accommodating. Locals were very welcoming, everything was perfect.

Everything about the property was exceptional. The view was breathtaking, the furniture and appliances were all high end, and it was fully equipped with everything you could ever want or need.

We could find no fault.

Views were absolutely insane, everything we could of possibly thought about needing was there, Ben is extremely helpful before and during your stay, beds very comfy

The property was beautiful with stunning views. Everything you could need was there and thought of. This was a trip for my husband’s birthday and we had an amazing stay and would love to return.

This property is perfect and we have zero complaints.
