Ah, what a truly splendid and rather unexpected little sojourn! I must confess, my dear, that my initial foray to Tor Druim was approached with a certain... aristocratic skepticism. One hears so many whispers of "charming B&Bs" only to be met with something rather more akin to a glorified garden shed with delusions of grandeur. But I'm delighted to report that Tor Druim is a different breed entirely. It is, in fact, an absolute gem of the Highlands. The house itself, perched upon the most magnificent of perches, affords views so breathtaking they almost brought a tear to my otherwise stoic eye. One's lodgings, I must add, were nothing short of a sanctuary—the view from my chamber, a veritable masterpiece. The hosts, bless their terribly kind souls, were a delight. Not a shred of the usual fawning or stiff formality, you understand, but a genuine warmth that was both refreshing and entirely welcome. They possess a remarkable knack for making one feel utterly at home, yet entirely pampered. And, if you'll permit me a brief digression—a word on the local village shopkeeper. A true hero, by jove! We found ourselves in a bit of a pickle, you see, and this gentleman, with his remarkably well-stocked emporium, saved our dinner from being a rather grim affair. A man of both taste and immense utility! In short, if you find yourself in need of a Highland retreat that exceeds every possible expectation, Tor Druim is the place. It's an absolute triumph, and I shall be back with rather less aristocratic skepticism and rather more luggage.

Warm and welcoming hospitality. The entire place is surrounded by nature, offering a sense of peace and beauty that's hard to describe. One of the highlights of our stay was the unforgettable breakfast — hands down the best pancakes I've ever tasted, and the toast was simply perfect. As if that weren’t enough, we were lucky enough to witness a breathtaking full rainbow arching right in front of us — a truly magical moment that we'll never forget. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a special and serene escape. Don’t be discouraged by some reviews describing the access road as difficult — it’s actually manageable. The narrow, one-lane road is rarely a problem thanks to the very light traffic. It’s absolutely worth the drive for such an incredible experience.

Everything was exceptional. The location was stunning with loch views, so peaceful. The hosts were so kind and looked after us so nicely. Very comfortable bed and the shower room was excellent as well - great facilities. The breakfast was outstanding and such a range of food on offer. We brought pies to have as our evening meal and Janet kindly heated them for us and went above and beyond with her generosity. We will definitely be visiting again. Such a peaceful location and just 30 mins to Lochinver.

Nothing. It was perfect.

the accommodation is in a beautiful location and the view is really incredible. but you should know that there is "nothing" far and wide except nature, the coast and lots of sheep. it is really relaxing and brings peace into the day. there's a lovely tea house about 10 minutes' drive away that sells delicious snacks as well as homemade candles, creams and fragrances. it's well worth a visit.

for your information, there are no restaurants or sops nearby. so it is recommended to eat beforehand or to bring something to eat. there is a microwave and a fridge at your disposal.

Beautiful setting. Very relax and comfortable stay. The accommodation is exactly like in the pictures. Comfortable bed and spotless clean. I would recommend you to pack your dinner/ take out from a restaurant before you proceed further to the hotel as it was quite a drive to get in but it's definitely worth it. Breakfast was included and it's really nice and healthy options. Definitely recommend to stay here for a peaceful relaxing holiday and will definitely comming back in the future.

The owners are really friendly and helpful. The house is beautiful. The room was lovely, clean and comfortable. The best night's sleep we've had. And all of this was while still suffering the effects of Storm Floris e.g. a power cut. Janet and Greg... You are amazing. Thank you for such a fabulous stay.

Exceptionally beautiful accommodation at Drumbeg with a sensational breakfast and by far the best hosts of our trip, extremely approachable, helpful and entertaining. Janet and Greg had lots of great tips for outdoor activities. The best breakfast with an unexpected big variety of homemade specialities and exceptional quality. What can I say, there is nothing to criticise

Tor Druim is built on the side of a hill, with 'The most picture perfect view' of the sea and mountains. It is absolutely beautiful. Greg and Janet - Our hosts are truly amazing! They are easygoing and friendly, with the comfort of their guests as a very important priority whilst you are staying there. The extra touches, i.e., home baked biscuits, filtered water, thermos of milk. ( all so appreciated) All this in a super clean, extra large, very tastefully designed room with window views of the sea and mountains, a Kingsized double bed (so comfortable, best sleep since we started our travels) It was also lovely to have a 'working' hot towel rail in the bathroom! Breakfast was delicious, and nothing was too much trouble to ask for. The use of fridge and microwave in the 'dining room' to store and use foods YOU bring with you was very handy if you didn't want to travel out for evening meal. I can't imagine anyone being disappointed if they are fortunate to have the opportunity to stay.

Absolutely nothing!

The B&B was lovely and the views were exceptional. We chose this place due to the location and in person it was even better than the photos. The room was adorable. The bed was super comfortable and the shower was excellent with great pressure and plenty of hot water. The hosts, Greg and Jan were kind and informative. We 100% recommend this B&B and would stay again in a heartbeat.

The single track road to get there was a little nerve wrecking, coming from the northside. We used the sourthern road to go site seeing and when we left the property and that road was better.

I cant really put into words what a lovely place this was and how lucky we were to experience it. The property was so lovely, the room was amazing - home made shortbread, soft furnishings, little touches in the bathroom. View from the front and side windows of our room were breath-taking - making us not want to even leave our room. Best of all was the breakfast - we tried something different every day - the home made scotch pancakes were fabulous! we would come back in a heartbeat.
