Possibly one of the best check in experiences we have had. Fabulous friendly welcome with a taste of whiskey and biscuits by a wonderful lady who covered everything we needed to know. Room was lovely with a fabulous view and super comfortable bed. Breakfast was excellent with wonderful service by friendly waitresses. Everything was clean and location was perfect. Would recommend for a base in Ullapool while travelling.

Only thing to improve would be a conditioner as well as shampoo in the bathroom but find this is the same in all hotels now so always bring my own.

Nice small clean room with ensuite and excellent breakfast. Lovely staff and liked the tipple offered at check in. Lovely large lounge overlooking the Loch. If you stay in this lovely Loch side town make sure you eat at the Seafood Shack as it was the best fish I have ever tasted

Although it's set up as a B and B it's really hotel size. Therefore a bar in the large lounge would be a bonus. It was our most expensive night of a 7 day road trip and I'm sure if we had a room over looking the Loch instead of the car park at the price we paid I would not be complaining at all.

Very nice welcome at reception. Offered a complimentary choice of whisky or sherry as we signed in. There was ample car parking. The accommodation was very clean and modern. The room and bathroom were both a bit small but functioned well for an overnight stay. Other family members had a room overlooking Loch Broom and binoculars had been provided to enjoy the views which was a nice touch. The generous breakfast was served promptly in a large dining room with panoramic views of the loch. Staff were friendly and efficient.

As soon as we arrived, we had the best welcome from the lovely Newzealander (sorry we didn’t get your name). He offered us a dram of whiskey and some home made shortbread which we had no where else on our NC500 trip. He was really chatty and made a real effort to make sure our stay was a memorable one. The ladies in the morning were just as friendly at breakfast, they could not do enough for us. Breakfast was fab. The views are incredible and there are some lovely local pubs for a drink in the evening. The room wasn’t the biggest, but that did not matter one bit. Would highly recommend, everyone should get tips on hospitality from the guy on the front desk!

We stayed in one of 3 lochside cottages and the view of Loch Broom was AMAZING. Bed was a super king and very comfortable for my sister and me. Huge room and bathroom with a fridge and tea/coffee making supplies. Wine and champagne glasses and a wine opener were supplied. Slippers and robes provided. Table and chairs outside on the deck and they supplied pads for the chairs, a towel to dry them off and even 2 umbrellas if you forgot yours. A excellent breakfast is served at the main building (also with views of the loch) with light and full Scottish options. Huge, comfy lounge area to hang out in. Easy walking distance to Ullapool. The best part aside from the view? The staff were AWESOME. All of them from kiwi Jake who checked us in to the women who served breakfast and cleaned our rooms. Cannot recommend Harbour House enough! Treat yourself to one of the lochside cabins if you can.

From check in with a wee dram and shortbread to check out we loved everything about Harbour House. We were in room 22 which was plenty big enough for us (other reviews have said the rooms were small). Room was spotless, bed very comfortable and shower excellent. Breakfast is taken overlooking Loch Broom, choices are good, I had the delicious scrambled egg and smoked salmon 3 mornings out of 4, partner loved the highland breakfast which you could adapt to your liking. Less than 5 mins stroll into Ullapool which is lovely. We stayed 7 - 11 July and I'd like to mention the guy from New Zealand who was fab, as were all the staff. The lounge area is huge and again overlooks the Loch, you can bring your own drinks and relax there in the evening. A selection of books, board games and cards are there for you. I can highly recommend Harbour House.

Location excellent. On arrival met by very pleasant receptionist who offered a dram to start us off. The bedroom, lounge and dining area spotlessly clean and comfortable. We had a small double room on the road side of the building but the double glazing prevented traffic noise. The communal main lounge is a bonus, you can take your own drinks, they supply glasses and ice and you get a great view up the loch. Breakfast, good choice and well cooked. The two ladies serving were so on the ball, well done. We would not hesitate to return.

I honestly can’t think of anything that could have improved our stay.

From our arrival we were greeted by Alan who offered us a small whiskey or sherry and delicious home made biscuits. Little touches like that mean a lot The room was small as we were told but it was perfect, so clean, bright and airy with absolutely everything we could need Breakfast was amazing, full Scottish fry up or continental, etc. plus choices of cereal, yogurt and so on The view from this hotel is beautiful The service from the friendly staff was amazing I would definitely book here again if I was in Ullapool

Can’t say I can fault it, if I had one little niggle it would be a small shelf in the bathroom to put your toothbrush etc would be handy

The communication from booking was excellent. We could only book a small double room as this was the only room available but we received a message explaining everything we needed to know and also a link to book a meal at a nearby recommended restaurant. We received a wonderful welcome on arrival with a drink and homemade shortbread. Our room was spotless and had absolutely everything we needed with the most wonderful view of the loch. The breakfast was first class and the staff were all extremely friendly. It's a real gem and we definitely recommend it.

The guest lounge was an unexpected bonus - beautifully furnished with spectacular views - the perfect place to relax after a day’s sightseeing. Staff were so warm and welcoming and couldn’t do enough for you ! Breakfast was excellent- great choice, quality and service! Would highly recommend a visit !!
