The room upgrade on booking was wonderful and we loved the room itself - almost everything you need for a comfortable stay (except for conditioner in the bathroom) Lots of lovely details and sweet additions for our dog. The bed was comfy, the mountain books were great and there is no beating this location. Also, the breakfast was excellent - full Scottish! We came for our 10 year anniversary having been to the restaurant many years before and dinner in the restaurant didn't disappoint! It was the full package. We had our dog with us which means we were stuck out of the way on our own in the bar area while everyone else was in the main restaurant, which seemed strange in this day and age and despite it being 'dog friendly' BUT we weren't forgotten by the staff as is sometimes the case if you're plonked out of site. And the view itself from the bar to the Loch was worth being there for.
The stay was wonderful and I can't fault it at all but we only stayed for 1 night and yet I received 14 emails (so far!) either confirming the room, confirming dinner, requesting speedy check in details, or asking for a rating. 14! This became incredibly frustrating and was complete overkill and even now 2 days later I am still getting emails. The irony is not one of those emails attended to anything I left in a message at the time of booking. This may seem like a small thing but when you're trying to have a lovely peaceful stay it's really distracting. I kept reading incase it was something important but it never was.

Absolutely fabulous location, right on the loch, close to Kylesku bridge. Small reception area with easy straight forward check in. Lovely Bar and outside space to have a drink overlooking the Loch. Breakfast and dinner was really lovely, good range, service was quick and friendly. We enjoyed a boat trip from the quay, which took us along the loch to the Waterfall, this was really good, the captain was very knowledgeable and pointed out the different seals which was lying in the sunshine.
The bathroom did not have frosted glass, so you had to have the blind pulled down the whole time. The room was a ground floor room, which you could see people walking past.

Absolutely stunning views from the balcony, wow! Great service from the bar and restaurant. Free parking, right at the doorstep (plenty available) Boat cruise (third party) leaves from the jetty also at the door step.
Rooms were on the smaller side, the shower is needing some work (grout is discoloured/dated). The one night was very expensive, the hotel itself was very expensive, the adjoining restaurant and bar also expensive. As long as you are happy to spend the money, you will not regret staying here. The experience was excellent. Bed was was only a double, so on the smaller side.

Nice clean hotel in a lovely situation. Staff are pleasant, professional and helpful.
Got to admit I was disappointed with the room we got(King Guest Room) but didn't want to complain, so perhaps it could have been changed. I'd read the reviews from people saying how beautiful the view was from their rooms but ours was very small with a tiny window looking straight into a wall. No wardrobe for clothes, to be honest no room for a wardrobe! Food was good, well presented but expensive.

We liked it as we had a bed for the night. Food was good, very good selection on drinks. Breakfast was very filling better on the Sunday than the Monday. Lovely views.
First night the room was a bit chilly better the second night. We felt that being told you could only have two or three courses (starting at £35 each) wasn’t fair as one course would have been sufficient, even the starter filled me up so we didn’t go back the second night to eat in the restaurant and the menu was limited choice.

What a beautiful little Inn along the NC500 with a great history! We stayed in the Deluxe King room with a balcony that had a lovely view. The bed was comfortable, and the shower glorious, with plenty of hot water and great pressure. Dinner was AMAZING with delicious local seafood. The breakfast that came with our stay was equally wonderful. We appreciated the honor bar was filled with non-alcoholic items as well.
We received a call that our room would be unavailable due to a leak, and we would need to move. We were disappointed, but resigned. (Happily, when we arrived, though, the room was in fact available which was a lovely surprise.) Also, we let the property know that we were celebrating a "special birthday" and would have liked them to save us a table with a view, but were told they didn't "reserve" tables.

Excellent hotel, lovely restaurant, very friendly staff. We were lucky enough to see an otter from the bar area! Expensive during the high season, but that's typical on the NC500. The fresh mussels from the Loch were fantastic.
My only complaints were the cold bathroom floor - but there is not much that can be done about this. Also, the supplied hairdryer was very dusty and should be cleaned as it could be a fire hazard!

Great location, dinner and breakfast.
Although we got upgraded to a bigger room, there was a car park directly outside our room (presumably another guest else where in the hotel), when ample car parking is provided in the car park area across the road. This blocked access to get luggage past comfortably, but most importantly impeded the beautiful view of the lake from our window, and gave the room more of a motel feel.

Lovely location over looking Loch. Sitting on the outdoor terrace was a very relaxing experience. Rooms also had similar view. Breakfast individually cooked and plentiful. Generally a great stop over on the way north. The boat trip from the next door jetty is also much to be recommended.
Dinner quite expensive - well up to London prices for similar seafood, but good and lots of it.

Location is perfect for the NC500, dinner and breakfast was superb. Views from the dining room are fantastic, binoculars are provided to enhance the experience. Staff are very professional and friendly.
Our only negative was the wording in the advertising. We booked an attic room which states you have a private bathroom, which is true, however it is at the bottom of a flight of stairs and just off a corridor in the shared part of the hotel and you have to take room keys with you each time you go.
