Staff were very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much for them :) Beds and bedding were very comfortable. Lots of pillows to chose from. Complementary water bottle. The interior of the hotel has some Hundertwasser features though none of the furniture do. The furniture is still pretty, colourful and different.

To say that the rooms are soundproof is a bit of an overstatement, as I could hear every voice from the corridor. Impossible to open windows overnight as trams and lorries were extremely loud. You might want to go for a room with a terrace and you'll most probably will get a room towards the back of the house.

What an incredible place - reminiscent of the Gaudi architecture in Barcelona. I would imagine if one had vertigo it would have been a bit disconcerting - the shower door leaning out towards you and the crazy paving bathroom tiling for instance. Good (quiet) aircon was much needed in the summer heat. Nice sauna (need to ask 30 mins before using it) Good breakfast can be taken outside, although tables on the (uneven) pavement. Bar available (but need to ask) although no restaurant - several excellent ones around though (especially the Japanese one next door)

Seating space at breakfast a bit limited. Magdeburg is not really geared up for international tourists especially if you have no German, although the hotel receptionists had excellent English.

Stayed for a night on the way through Germany back from vacation. It is definitely a cool and unique hotel, especially if you are a Hundertwasser fan. The bathroom is really cool. Friendly staff and good breakfast even though quite expensive. Travelling with a dog, we got into the room to find a bowl of food ready for her which is very thoughtful. I booked a room with a balcony but it is more like a shared terrace than a balcony so not private. The rooms on the other side without balcony seemed funkier and a big bigger.

Not the best value for money. Compared to other hotels in Magdeburg it was on the expensive side so you are definitely paying for the experience.

I wanted to visit Magdeburg for cultural/historical reasons. When I discovered I could stay in a Hundertwasser building, I was extra delighted. The crazy architecture was really enjoyable. Central location was ideal. Staff were friendly and welcoming. I saw what I wanted of the city in my three-day stay. I would be happy to return. Friends fancy staying in such a wacky hotel too.

Nothing really. I was very happy there. There was a busy road outside, but I was not disturbed at all by noise. There is a temporary restriction of space where the breakfast is served but it was perfectly serviceable. Breakfast was good.

The beautiful, colourful Hundertwasser art that is all around and makes you happy! The room was cool and comfortable despite the heat. Comfortable bed. A gorgeous balcony with grass and seating area on the first floor. The staff is super friendly. Secure parking for the bikes. Centrally located.

If there would have been a kettle in the room, that would be perfect. The nice lady in the breakfast room let us tap some hot water at no charge so we could still make a cuppa in the room (we always carry our own teabags and milk...)

First of all, the location is spectacular, inside one of the main attractions of Magdeburg, the Grüne Zitadelle. Also centrally located. The Hundertwasser design is present inside the rooms as well. Great atmosphere. Good breakfast, rooms are clean, friendly staff. Parking garage directly under the hotel (paid). Great choice for a stay in this city!

During intake the receptionist made without asking a copy/scan of my passport. This illegal: it is against the European Wide General Data Protection Regulation (GDP) as well as the German Bundesmeldegesetz. It overcame me earlier in Germany. As frequent business traveller i didn't experienced it over the last years in other European countries.

I really like the building design and the hotel is within the art installation. Location was on the main road across the city with trams running past the hotel. Great location and just outside the main shopping and dining area so it is quiet Near to all the historical buildings eg cathedral and river crossings. Only a few minutes away by foot to the main station.

Nothing to dislike about it

The style and decor. Well worth a stay if you are into Hundertwasser. Our room had a balcony and opening the door to the balcony helped cool down the room a bit.

Room a bit small. No air con, which could be a problem once the temperature passes 30.

The cool designs in the rooms and the balcony. Bathrooms booked like optical illusion - children loved it! Friendly welcome and nice drink in bar in evening. Fabulous location. Overall a great stay.

The space for breakfast is small. No tables really bigger for 2-3 not a major problem but was crowded. Selection good.
