I enjoyed the outside dining on the terrace. The dinner was excellent. Breakfast was also good and the croissants as fresh and buttery as any I've ever tasted. The hotel is characterful in a great location near the citadel. I was able to park my car in the parking very nearby, for free. The bedrooms have been upgraded so the facilities are good. The patron was very friendly and welcoming. I'd be happy to return.

Some of the furnishings in the public areas are tired and need replacing or re-upholstering. The reception area has a weird display with strange items including the root of an olive tree. That needs to go, as does the glass screen on the reception counter that presumably has remained after the lockdown. The waitress could do with trying to smile now and then!

The location is good, a quiet road near to the large Chateau, which is a feature of Sedan. The hotel is also a restaurant and I would recommend the restaurant as the food was good, wholesome food at a reasonable price. The hotel was pleasant and adequate, the breakfast was upstairs in a dedicated room and was also very adequate with plenty of choice.

The separation of hotel and restaurant was confusing but didn't detract from the stay but it did make the welcome a little cooler than I would hope for. Otherwise all good.

Friendly and welcoming hotel. Room was a good size with a very comfortable bed and a window seat to look out over the street. Quiet part of town and a good night's sleep. Great location close to all the main sights. We didn't have breakfast but had dinner in the restaurant, which had a cosy atmosphere, traditional French menu and tasty food. The owner/manager was very supportive and helpful when I twisted my ankle badly.

Large room. Fantastic restaurant. Excellent proprietor could not have been more helpful. We were traveling on motorbikes and it was very hot. When we arrived the Proprietor set up an outside table and poured us a cold beer with out asking. Hotel had a secure garage for our bikes.

Nothing really. Some parts of the town in this area are a bit run down but being next to the fort makes up for this.

Everything was perfect. We don't remember being so pleased with our booked accommodation in a long time! The room was exactly as shown in pictures, with enough space for suitcases and clothing and a huge, super-clean and practically laid out bathroom! The location was perfect, too, right across the street from the entrance of Sedan#s main attraction, its fortress and a few minutes walk to the rest of the downtown and monuments. Parking was amply available either right in front of the hotel or in the parking to in front of the fortress, a few meters away from the hotel entrance. We also dined there and the dinner was exquisite (sole meaner for me and sander for my husband), while the owner of the hotel and restaurant and the waitresses were very attentive to our needs and special requests. Finally, the breakfast was exactly what one needs, from the fresh-squeezed orange juice, to fresh fruit and freshly baked croissants and pains au chocolate and other French breakfast staples, like fruit jams and preserves. All in all a perfect experience which may be repeated just for the sake of the hotel (i.e. although we feel we have seen Sedan's main attractions).

Nothing! Everything was perfect! We just wish the owner a long life so he can continue to serve travellers and diners with the same spirit of proactive hospitality and enthusiasm for his profession!

The staff were very welcoming, the hospitality was excellent and the staff were patient considering are language barrier. The cleanliness was superior throughout the entire property. The food, both breakfast and dinner, were exceptional. This property was in a great location, incredibly accommodating and kind to my family and I. The rooms are so clean, nice and spacious. And the beds were very comfortable too. We would HIGHLY RECOMMEND lodging and eating at this GREAT property.

We LOVED this property.

The hotel was beautiful and old-fashioned architecture, located in a quiet part of Sedan, minutes from the Chateau and town. Despite our lack of French, the owner was very friendly. He even instructed us on where to park our motorcycle in the inner courtyard. The evening meal was delicious. The room was comfortable. The only downside was the lack of aircon, especially during the heatwave. Will definitely be returning some time in the future.

Basic but had everything you needed. Great restaurant and food. Lovely staff especially the manager who was even going to come in on his night off to open the gate so I could put my bike in the secure courtyard when I was late back the 2nd night. Think I was the only person booked for breakfast the 2nd day and they laid on a good spread just for me.

A lovely old hotel situated in the centre of Sedan. Our room was huge with two double beds. Restaurant and bar downstairs. Staff were very helpful and welcoming. Spotlessly clean. Storage for bicycles.

WIFI didn't work in our room on the 3rd floor - but we were able to sit downstairs and use it.

Hotel is lovely, excellent location and private parking for our motorbikes in courtyard. Room was comfy and had everything we required. Breakfast good also. Please Note - the resturant is closed on a Sunday but plenty of resturants nearby. Lovely town - enjoyed our stay
