Zeus' small boutique hotel was the highlight of our stay in Corfu. What a special place!! Afionas is a very charming small town, perched high up over the ocean on a little jutting cliff, so you feel like you're almost in the clouds and surrounded by the gorgeous sea. Spectacular. The hospitality and charm of the town and especially of Zeus' Throne set it apart from the other places we stayed on Corfu. Each morning and afternoon, we looked forward to chatting with Kostas, our wonderful, friendly server at the restaurant, while enjoying our delicious ocean view breakfasts and lunch. Try their mouth-watering crispy sesame honey feta! We were sad to say goodbye. We felt as welcome there as friends would be, thanks to Kostas :) We stayed in one of the brand new jacuzzi suites, which was absolutely perfect. The price could have been double what we paid and we'd still have been impressed. The suite was very large and beautifully remodeled with every amenity, a living room, full kitchen (stocked with several bottles of delicious wine for us) and a bedroom looking out to the sea, which opened out onto our private balcony with loungers, chair & table, and a hot tub (which doesn't get hot at all, it usually lingered around 21-24 celsius and couldn't be adjusted. It was nice to enjoy on a warm day since it isn't as cold as a pool would be, but not warm enough for cooler spring nights and mornings). The balcony was very private, since these rooms are on the top floor, looking down over the huge, gorgeous patios of the pool suites below, which look even better. The property is peaceful and serene, surrounded by gardens, with many charming sitting/dining areas on a few levels, all with those stunning ocean views.

Coming into the town the first time was daunting, as the roads are narrow, windy and steep (really that's true all over Corfu), and our rental car was not built for these roads! We knew from reviews that the road leading into the property would be small, but I've never seen a road this narrow! Barely wide enough for one car, so you must drive very slow to not scrape the sides of the car. But it's short, and we did see a small van driving it, so it is manageable. After the first time we weren't so nervous about it.

Our stay here was exceptional! The room was exactly as described and depicted on the website. The staff really strive to ensure you have an enjoyable vacation. Mario and Constantinos were the two staff we primarily interacted with and they were so courteous, friendly, and helpful. Mario even went out of his way to get me super glue to help repair one of my slippers. The breakfast was amazing - freshly squeezed orange juice, fresh fruit, cappuccino, eggs, feta cheese, and so on. There are also many drinks in the fridge (such as wine, pop, water) available to you for no extra charge. We also had a great experience dining at the restaurant; the prices were reasonable, the proportions were big, and the food was very tasty. The resort is on the cliff with a beautiful view!! There are three beaches close by: Agios Georges beach (10 minute drive), Porto Timoni beach (20 minute walk), and Arillas beach (15 minute drive). Arillas beach was our favorite. It's a 15 minute drive with beautiful clear water and sand.

Zeus arranged our airport transfer which went perfectly. We were met with a welcome drink then shown to our apartment which was spotlessly clean. It was well appointed and very well laid out. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The food in the restaurant on site was excellent as was the service. Our mini break was very relaxing and the room had a fantastic view. The pool was cleaned daily and was very private. We would certainly go back again!

Nothing to dislike. The apartment was self catering but there wasn't really a supermarket within walking distance but this didn't bother us as we ate in the restaurant. There were a few tavernas close by.

From the moment of being picked up at the airport to the welcome when I arrived at the resort to meals and daily interactions to sadly leaving, I cannot say enough good things about this spot! The staff and location were absolutely perfect. The resort is very relaxing and offers privacy with options to explore the small village. Every single one of the staff members was kind and extremely helpful. The breakfast that was included was delicious with great varieties in the options. The views from the restaurant and room were picture-perfect. It is perfectly located for watching the sunsets and hiking down to the beautiful Porto Timoni Beach. It is also easy to access Agios Georgios Beach and endless activities that operate out of this area.

We were lucky enough to stay in one of the private pool suites. Couldn’t recommend enough. Service, view and amenities were 10/10. Beautiful restaurants located nearby. If you are wanting to explore surrounding beaches, Marios was a great help in sorting out transportation (motorbikes, quads and cars) on our arrival. The place is a relaxation destination and one we will be visiting as soon as we can!!! Thank you so much for our stay, it was perfect!

We had a wonderful week stay at Zeus Throne and were sad to leave. The views were spectacular as the suites are positioned up on a cliff with far reaching views over St Georgios Bay. Sunrise is spectacular and I would argue the view is one of the best on Corfu. The suites were just as described with lovely decor and plunge pool, which provided welcome cool relief after a hot day of exploring. The restaurant was amazing and featured lovely authentic dishes. The staff were absolutely excellent. Mario’s and Constantino, thank you for being fabulous hosts. You made our stay so special and we look forward to visiting again in the future. Jennifer & David

Great apartment, even bigger than expected, amazing view! The breakfast is always fresh and delicious. The only challenge is the narrow street if you have a car, so we recommend that someone temporarily blocks the road before you drive in to ensure no one is in your way. 😉

Wow! What an incredible place to stay. The property was amazing, the view was unbelievably beautiful and the whole experience was made wonderful by the hosts. Fantastic bar and restaurant on site, rooms cleaned daily, fridge restocked with water and so many thoughtful touches like the fruit platter and drinks when we arrived. We were so sad to leave but we will definitely be back. Thank you for looking after us so well

Absolutely nothing!

Very comfortable room, with integrated kitchen and living room, and a great external area with pool and an incredible view. The staff is friendly and receptive. We were treated very well. Can’t forget to mention the delicious food at the restaurant and cold local beer. Beaches are close but accessible by foot only with some hiking down(and UP)hill. People with low mobility should rent a car. Special thanks to Angelina, who drove us to the Hotel while having a nice chat, and to Marco for the support and attention - appreciate the information about the local fest!

Zeus’ Throne was one of the best places we have ever stayed. The location and rooms are one thing which are amazing but, the staff were extremely accommodating and would do anything to help and make you feel welcome. I have never felt so at ease and happy in a resort before. Massive thank you to the team! Especially Mario! You made our holiday amazing!
