The place was gorgeous, reception and all the hotel team were very helpful and responsive to every tiny detail. Location close to Churaumi oceanarium and Ocean park was super comfortable. Breakfast was good. The beach is of 2 min walking distance. Many thanks for all the comfort and hospitality, special thanks to the team serving our room who helped to find the earring, as well as to Takenaga, service manager at the reception desk who navigated us to many beautiful areas nearby. Would be our pleasure to get back to this hotel once again:)

The Emerald beach is public one so have many restrictions, including snorkeling.

Stunning hotel in a gorgeous natural setting and warm hospitality. I had an incredible time at Orion Hotel. My room was was very spacious and looked out onto Emerald Beach. The entire hotel and my room was impeccably clean and beautifully decorated. Every staff member was exceptionally kind and helpful, and I felt well taken care of. We had both breakfast and dinner buffets on 2 consecutive days and there was good variety and lots of healthy options. The sashimi and nigiri were so fresh! The dine in staff made sure I could avoid dishes that I were allergic to and even provided a allergen chart covering the entire buffet menu. The front desk staff were very professional and friendly. The lady at the activities desk was very helpful in getting us discounted tickets to the aquarium and the bus ride back to Naha. The free welcome drink on our first day was a nice touch and we enjoyed our Orion Beer (tasted so good!). The hotel is located in walking distance to the Ocean Expo Park and the Churaumi aquarium. But the even cooler part was that you can always catch the park's tour bus in front of the hotel, which runs every 10-15 minutes and makes it very convenient to go to all the attractions nearby without getting tired. The park bus drivers are also very nice. I was also impressed by the salt hot springs, which were clean, hot and relaxing. You get a dreamy view of the ocean while sitting in the open air hot spring or steam room and it feels like heaven. If you feel like doing a little shopping, you can also check out the stores on the property that carry a variety of gift items at reasonable prices. I was also pleasantly surprised to see so many families with young children and grandparents staying at the hotel. It's a very family-oriented hotel that is accommodating to everyone's needs. I loved seeing all the children smile, laugh and have a good time. Next time, I want to come when it's warmer and check out the outdoor pool and try other restaurants.

We had such a wonderful stay at The Orion Hotel Motobu Resort & Spa. It’s an incredibly family-friendly hotel — the kids' play area was great, and the hands-on craft activities were a big hit with our child! The restaurants inside the hotel were excellent — every meal was delicious, and the service was truly top-notch. In the evenings, we enjoyed relaxing with friends over a few beers in a cozy atmosphere. The room had a perfect view — waking up to that ocean scenery was such a treat. The beach and outdoor spaces were well-maintained and very relaxing. Highly recommend this hotel for families traveling with kids, or anyone looking to enjoy the beauty of Okinawa in a calm and comfortable setting.

Rooms were spacious with a kid-friendly/utilitarian feel. We appreciate the modern feel of the lobby and dining facilities. The SIRIUS buffet is one of the best on the island. The buffet menu is focused on fresh and well-balanced offerings, with a section for Okinawan cuisine that has a lightness in taste. We used the indoor pool in late March because it happened to be too windy to swim outdoors. The pool was warm and clean.

There were no family rooms that could fit 5 guests so we had to book 2 rooms. There was an additional, slightly expensive charge to use the onsen so we skipped it.

Excellent resort, rooms are so nice and spacious and very clean. Restaurants are great, staff are friendly and the view from our room was spectacular

Some weird communication with the staff, I asked the lady checking me in 3 times if tattoos were ok in the pool as she was telling me about them, with all my tattoos fully visible and she said yes it’s ok 3 times, but then there was signage everywhere for no tattoos and another staff member told me not allowed. Feels a bit like a dated policy at this point too, but what can you do I guess.

Our ocean view room was at the very end of the hall, so we had a nice wide view of the ocean. The room was huge, very comfortable, and clean. The bathroom was also huge and clean. One of our rooms was for four people and it easily and comfortably fit four plus luggage. The staff was nice. The breakfast was good and had a decent variety. Proximity to the aquarium was the main factor for us staying here. It was a very quick walk (10 minutes or so), even for the elderly members of our group with plenty of places to stop and rest between. Discounted aquarium tickets can be purchased at the tour counter in the lobby.

A lot was under construction when we stayed, limiting our dinner options. Also, because we were an end hall unit, the wind, which was super strong during all days of our stay, was particularly loud as it whipped against the wall and against our balcony. It was not nearly as loud in the room next to us where some of our family stayed.

Welcome drinks were given as an option upon check in. The Orion store sells interesting items like Orion shirts and other souvenirs. Eating establishments were available on request. Bed was comfortable and view was great.

Compound was slightly dark after dark; normal for Okinawa but with the rain threatening and coming/going, more light would have been good. Not a deal breaker, I'll definitely return!

the price is a little bit high for the summer season

The summer programme with traditional performance. The accessible to beach and the Jurassic onsen hot spring facilities at L5 is excellent. The draft beer Orion Pale Ale at L3 is excellent with good service staff. All the artwork painting in the hotel are beautiful.

The parking P3 is hot in summer, need cover. The L3 Orion beer bar can have specialty cocktail.

The staff went out of their way to be helpful. We requested a room near the elevator due to mobility issues, the hotel accommodated us, enabling us to more easily visit all the hotel's facilities.

Other than the aquarium, there's not a lot to do in the area. If there had been more to do, we would have loved to stay longer. Access needs to improve, it's either a 3.5 hour bus ride or a 20,000 yen taxi from/to Naha, perhaps an express bus would help.
