The location is the best possible in Caserta for visiting the Royal Palace. This was why we chose it. The hotel is comfortable, and Emma on the front desk went out of her way to help solve a problem we had--much appreciated. Breakfast was OK, but staff need to learn how to make tea, i.e., not hot tap water brought in a teapot with no lid, with teabag sitting on a side plate! I know it's not Italian culture, but this is supposedly an international hotel. Room was quite spacious and quiet.

Shower in the room tricky to manipulate. Next-to-no bathroom amenities until I asked for some. Only 4 car spaces in the front of the hotel, which were always taken, meaning we had to park in a public parking place which cost more than 20 Euros a night. Breakfast was just OK, nothing special.

This hotel has a great location and fantastic amenities! There’s a gym, a hotel bar, a rooftop bar, amazing views, a king sized bed, a couch, a small fridge with drinks for purchase, a coffee and tea setup in the room, plenty of closet space, and a great bathroom with plenty of towels. The breakfast has a large variety of food and drinks, it’s quite impressive! We were able to check in early, the staff is friendly and helpful. The elevators are small yet quiet. There is a flat screen Samsung tv in the room and fast wifi. Our top floor room was comfortable and very quiet at night. This is one of the best hotels I have stayed at anywhere!

Nothing it was great

I will definitely start take care with the property's rating on Booking.com. Most guests are European or American, and they value "friendliness", smiling, waving, calling by name and find it beautiful to stay in a homely atmosphere. They don't care about comfort, high standard of services, quality of bed, furniture, shower, 24-hour reception and everything that a reasonable hotel has, expensive investment objective. But they don't give a good evaluation because they consider the treatment to be impersonal. This is the case with this hotel. The only problem was the air conditioning: Caserta is hot even in November and the air conditioning drops the temperature to 21 degrees and takes a while to cool down The solution is to go into the room to sleep and turn it on to 21 degrees so that in the end you have a temperature of perhaps 23 or 25 degrees in the room.

The room was clean, spatious and with modern furnish. The hot tub in the bathroom was very nice. Breakfast amazing with everything including fresh sfogliatelle, pastries cakes and savory options. Location right outside the private covered parking below the Reggia, very convenient to leave the car and walk around in the center. Staff was very nice. Very good value, I would go back.

No free parking at the hotel. The gym is quite small and opens only at 8AM.

Our 1 night stay was enforced because of a 6 hour train delay. We were surprised to find a very interesting castle and gardens, we had time for an unplanned visit to the gardens. Looks like you could easily spend an interesting day here. Hotel was fine, staff were helpful, room was clean, facilities were good, breakfast was good. Room was very spacious.

Bed was a bit hard and don't mind if I never sleep in a round bed again.

Location was great but the photo on the web was of the location here not the hotel. Plus the parking next door was fantastic - first come first serve parking upfront. So - if you arrive at the hotel just look to your right quickly before you go under the tunnel. Park there. Otherwise nice place and decent food right around it. The little cafe next door sells water later at night if you need it.

For the price it was perfect. Americans like to complain - we do not. I've traveled a lot this was a nice place. Breakfast was perfect.

Perfect location, close to station, close to palace and gardens, close to restaurants. Fantastic staff especially in the restaurant. They were happy to converse in English and clearly explained items in menu. Breakfast was excellent. I would stay here then travel to Naples to learn ok around.

There was nothing I did not like.

This was my third stay at the Hotel Royal Caserta, and I'll be back! The hotel is in a fantastic location near the train station and the Reggia. The staff is always friendly and helpful. My room was quite large and very comfortable! The breakfast is always a treat! Highly recommended!

The staff was remarkable and friendly. They helped us tremendously with our transportation between cities and had good references for local restaurants. The bellman was welcoming when we checked in and offered us tea and coffee. We had a room with a view of the Palace. It was incredible! Finally the location is right next to the Palace. Visit the nearby midevil town 20 min away too!

We chose this hotel because it was close to the train station (we came up from Naples by train), the Royal Palace (our main reason for visiting Caserta), and car rental outlets (we left in a rental car to visit the Campanian wine country. We were perfectly satisfied with our choice, the location perfect for our needs as well as being close to the centre of town (for window shopping) and good restaurants (there is an in-house restaurant, but we ate dinner elsewhere). The room was comfortable and well appointed.
