The terrace has stunning views and is very comfortable. Location is a perfect start point, easy 20 min walk from harbour and to explore onward. Beds were comfortable, bunk frames sturdy and didnot creak/ shake when climbing up. The staff were all helpful and seemed to genuinely want to make travellers comfortable and meet their needs. I didnt know I needed to request gluten free bread in advance and a lady in the kitchen kindly put on the oven and brought out 2 fresh warm rolls! My room had the amazing view of the bay/ harbour/ sunrise! Great breakfast

As always, sharing a dorm room causes problems, but not the fault of Stayok. Though the charging pounts were in little boxes beside the bunks, one for each - great! But the plug pushes upward into the box and is hard to get in place securely. So my charger fell out with a crash at 12.30am from my upstairs bunk and shocked everyone awake. It would be better to have the socket on top/ side not under so plugs can't fall out. Mosquitoes came in and ate me alive during the first night

Everything is good beside the bike rental. On the website, show bike rental. I thought that I rent the bike by Stayokay. It's not.

The bike rental must do by self. When you arrive in West Terschelling, go to the Zeelen Bike Store to pickup your bike. The front desk called and made a reservation for transporting a bike to Stayokay. The Zeelen asked me that I have to pay out immediately. I did but Zeelen did not delivery my bike. Then I had to ask the front desk to call Zeelen again. .... anyway, the service of Zeelen is not okay.

Nice facilities, good location and excellent dinner and breakfast. The hostel also seemed to be doing its part to be environmentally friendly. I really loved how they had items for sale made from recycled plastic and they had supplies to do mini beach cleans with a display of some of the more interesting finds. We only stayed for one night but will definitely stay again when we come back to explore the island more (just hope our noisy dorm-mate isn't back at the same time - that's a chance you take with a hostel though!)

Not a massive issue but the beds in the dorms were a bit of a free for all. The staff wrote a bed number on our room slip but when we got to the room one of our allocated beds was taken. We just took a different bed though.

Very friendly staff, they allowed us to check-in earlier and to modify the number of people in the reserve. It only takes 5 minutes by bike to get to West-Terschelling. Comfy beds and quiet at night. Nice breakfast, which is included (that was a pleasant surprise!).

Although its value for money is acceptable, I think it might be a bit pricey for being a hostel. Cleanliness is also acceptable but could be a bit better (although I get it is hard in such a sandy area).

Great chill location, great breakfast buffet included in the very decent price, great, calm view from the rooms which are clean and well-equipped. Friendly staff.

No kitchen! Seems strange for a hostel to not offer a kitchen. And additionally it is forbidden to bring your own food or drinks, apparently they want you to only consume things you buy at the restaurant or bar. But that private food and drinks are forbidden even outside the bar and restaurant seems over the top to me. Also, on one day there was a wedding so they didnt serve dinner, so you cant eat your own food and also not eat there, therefore you need to head to the city to eat.

I was very surprised by the sort of people staying there. Everyone was very friendly, both staff and visitors. Breakfast & dinner were great. Our dormitory and the people staying with us were fine. Also a plus, 1 min. walking from the sea [the Wadden side] and 5mins. from town. Beautiful, quiet location. As hostels go, one of the best I've ever stayed at.

it's a good price for the island. I think it's the only hostel. AMAZING breakfast spread with extra veggie options. Nice bar. amazing ciew. Staff was very nice. Good location, about 20-25 min walk from the town // pier. they also help arranging shuttle in case you don't want to walk. bycicle rental. bathrooms with privacy rather than these cubicle things.

no privacy with the beds like little curtains or so. but otherwise nothing - awesome.

Exceptionally good value. The hostel sits right on the edge of the West-Terscheling settlement. It is feasible to go on foot to/from the ferry. The view from the large shared bedrooms is onto the wadden sea. You'll be able to see tides come and go no matter the weather. The included breakfast is really good as well.

Being the winter season Stayokay Hostel Terschelling had maybe fifty to seventy guests per day during my four night stay. In the ten bed dorm room I was in, I was accompanied by none to two roommates - which equated to an excellent sleep and sleep-ins. The 10 bed dorm featured two showers and two toilets, lockers (bring your own lock), comfortable bunk beds, in a spacious room. The provided buffet style breakfast was top-notch. Lots of variety of various items - breads, cheeses, deli slices, spreads, yoghurts, juices, teas, coffee... plus plenty of tables, and probably the best sea view in Terschelling. Dinner is available in the evening, and a bar opens too. Staff were great, the facilities are clean, and it's a nice space to read, work, or just to take in the view.
